KR-037 or KR-009.1: short answer

KR-037 is worth buying when you need the most compact carved bracket for a small furniture door, narrow shelf, mirror frame, or local decor near a handle. The series includes five sizes from 74 × 40 × 33 × 14 mm to 148 × 80 × 66 × 28 mm. KR-009.1 is better to choose when the bracket should be taller, more noticeable, and function as an independent classic support. The series includes six sizes from 87 × 55 × 32 × 17 × 37 mm to 183 × 115 × 67 × 35 × 77 mm.

KR-037 — five sizes. The minimum format starts at 74 mm, the maximum reaches 148 mm.

KR-009.1 — six sizes. The range starts at 87 mm and ends with an enlarged variant of 183 mm.

You cannot compare only the first digit. KR-037 has parameters A–D, KR-009.1 has A–E; before ordering, you need to open the drawing and check all directions of the product.

Beech is chosen for opaque enamel, oak for tinting. Both models are available with "Standard" and "Prestige" finishes.

For paired parts, one batch is important. The same size, species, preparation, and finish help achieve a symmetrical composition.

The load cannot be determined by the size of the bracket. It depends on the shelf, wall, fasteners, number of supports, distance between them, and arrangement of objects.

A buyer who wants to buy a small wooden bracket often starts with a photo and chooses a "similar" size. For the KR-037 and KR-009.1 series, this is not enough. The two models overlap in height but differ in proportions, number of parameters in the drawing, and visual role. A bracket 148 mm high from one series does not become a copy of a 151 mm product from another.

KR-037 is designed for the most compact compositions. The smallest version, 74 × 40 × 33 × 14 mm, can be placed on a small furniture door, near a handle, inside a frame, or under a narrow decorative shelf. As the series increases, it reaches 148 × 80 × 66 × 28 mm, but retains a local, compact character.

KR-009.1 starts at 87 × 55 × 32 × 17 × 37 mm and goes up to 183 × 115 × 67 × 35 × 77 mm. An additional sixth dimension expands the scope of application: a more prominent shelf, a furniture cornice, a large frame, a portal, or a classic niche. At a distance, such a bracket reads more confidently and does not get lost next to a wide molding.

To choose a KR-037 size from 74 to 148 mm, you need to measure not only the height of the free field, but also the space next to the handle, the shelf overhang, and the adjoining area. For a larger project, you can choose one of the six sizes of KR-009.1. If neither series matches the task, it is better to open the catalog of carved brackets STAVROS and compare the entire range.

What is a small carved bracket and why is it needed

A small wooden bracket combines two tasks. It can participate in supporting a shelf or furniture part, if the design is calculated, and at the same time decorates the lower corner, the empty field of the facade, the frame, or the cornice. The carved shape turns a technical node into part of a classic composition.

Under the shelf

The bracket creates a visible support and helps connect the shelf to the wall or furniture body. However, the decorative form does not automatically assign load-bearing capacity. For a shelf for books, dishes, or a heavy object, a separate calculation of the wall, fasteners, and number of supports is needed.

On a furniture facade

The bracket can cover an empty vertical section, support a furniture cornice, or mark the boundary of a section. Scale is especially important here: the large KR-009.1 can occupy a significant part of the door, while the small KR-037 is easier to place next to a handle and molding.

In a frame or portal

Paired carved elements help decorate the lower corners of a mirror, decorative niche, or door composition. KR-037 is suitable for a compact frame, KR-009.1 for a larger architectural scheme. Symmetry depends on precise marking and identical orientation of the parts.

In a repeating row

Several small brackets under a furniture cornice create rhythm. In such a scenario, a one-millimeter size matters less than the distance between elements and the matching finish. It is better to order all parts in one batch and install them using a common template.

Why a ready-made carved element is better than a random blank

A ready-made model has a confirmed size range, wood species, and surface preparation level. The buyer does not need to independently cut a complex profile, adjust several similar parts, and correct differences in the pattern. All that remains is to choose the scale, finish, and installation scheme.

KR-037 and KR-009.1: main comparison in one table

Criterion KR-037 KR-009.1 What this changes when choosing
Number of sizes 5 6 KR-009.1 provides an additional enlarged format of 183 mm.
Parameter A range 74–148 mm 87–183 mm KR-037 starts with a smaller size, KR-009.1 ends with a larger one.
Minimum B 40 мм 55 мм Minimum KR-037 is easier to place on a small facade and near the handle.
Maximum B 80 мм 115 мм KR-009.1 fills the vertical or frame composition more strongly.
Maximum C 66 мм 67 мм Proximity of one parameter does not make the products identical in overall geometry.
Material Beech or oak Beech or oak The model can be chosen by scale without changing the material of the entire composition.
Sanding "Standard" or "Prestige" "Standard" or "Prestige" For pairs and rows, it is better to order the same preparation.
Main dimension Small facade, narrow shelf, local frame More prominent shelf, portal, furniture cornice The choice is determined not by "more beautiful", but by the scale of the surrounding surface.
Main risk Will get lost on a large wall Will overload a small door A full-size paper template helps avoid both mistakes.

Why you can't compare only parameter A

In tables, parameter A comes first, and it's convenient to perceive it as the main dimension. But model drawings use different sets of notations: KR-037 has A–D, KR-009.1 has A–E. Without viewing the DWG or dimension diagram, you cannot arbitrarily call each parameter height, width, depth, or thickness.

Same A does not mean same silhouette

Two parts with close A may differ in B, C, D and additional E. On the facade, this will manifest in the width of the occupied field, overhang, thickness of the junction, and distribution of the carved pattern. Therefore, one model cannot be replaced by another just because the first digit differs by three millimeters.

Parameter B affects the free field

Even without assigning a geometric direction, it is evident that B in KR-009.1 is often larger. With almost identical A, the model occupies a different dimension. This is especially important near the handle, molding, door edge, or adjacent overlay. The paper template is built based on the full rectangle, not just one height.

Parameter C is related to the actual overhang of the product

For a shelf or furniture, it is critical to know how much the bracket protrudes from the plane and where it contacts the upper part. You cannot transfer C from one series to another from memory. You need to open the drawing of the specific size and show it to the installer.

D and E are important for the junction and fastening

In KR-009.1, there is an additional parameter E. It describes a separate direction or section of geometry that is not present in the KR-037 table. You cannot rename it on your own. The buyer must check how the dimensional scheme relates to the shelf, body, and method of fixation.

The thread also takes up space

Even if the outer rectangle fits, a free field must be left around the pattern. A bracket pressed against the handle or molding looks random and complicates finishing. In a compact composition, not only the millimeters of the product itself matter, but also the visual pause.

Correct selection order

First, determine the available space, then open the drawing, then make a template, and only after that select the article. This order is more reliable than searching for a product "approximately 100 mm" without considering other parameters.

Close sizes: KR-037 93 mm or KR-009.1 103 mm

The first close pair shows why comparing by a single digit simplifies the task too much. KR-037 has dimensions 93 × 50 × 41 × 18 mm. KR-009.1 — 103 × 65 × 38 × 20 × 44 mm. The difference in A is 10 mm, but in B it is already 15 mm, and the set of parameters differs.

When KR-037 93 mm is better

It suits a small door, narrow shelf, or frame where the free space is limited. The smaller B makes it easier to place next to a handle. Such a bracket can be repeated on several identical facades without turning each element into a main accent.

When KR-009.1 103 mm is better

It is appropriate if the support should be more noticeable and the space allows for a larger dimension. The model suits a shelf above a cabinet, a classic display case, or a frame composition where the 93 mm element looks too miniature.

What to check on the template

Draw both outer rectangles on cardboard, mark the shelf, handle, and adjacent molding. Even ten millimeters of height combined with a change in B can noticeably alter the composition.

KR-037 111 mm or KR-009.1 119 mm

KR-037 in this size has dimensions of 111 × 60 × 50 × 21 mm. KR-009.1 — 119 × 75 × 44 × 23 × 50 mm. The difference in A is only 8 mm, but B differs by 15 mm. These are already two different scales of the facade field.

KR-037 111 mm for a compact middle

The size is suitable for a small shelf for a figurine, a mirror frame, or a cabinet where minimal options are too small and a large support overloads the surface. It remains part of the compact series and is easier to repeat in a row.

KR-009.1 119 mm for a more elongated pattern

The model is more noticeable on a furniture cornice and side post. It can support a wider shelf, but the structural load is still calculated separately. The choice is determined by the drawing and available space.

KR-037 130 mm or KR-009.1 135 mm

This pair is even closer in A: 130 × 70 × 58 × 25 mm vs 135 × 85 × 50 × 26 × 57 mm. The difference of five millimeters may seem insignificant, but B in KR-009.1 is larger by 15 mm, and C, D, and the additional E form a different geometry.

KR-037 130 mm for a large compact accent

It is suitable for a facade where noticeable carving is needed, but there is no room for an elongated product. The model can be used under a medium-width shelf or in a repeating furniture row.

KR-009.1 135 mm for a classic niche

A larger field helps the bracket not get lost next to molding, a portal, or a tall facade. If space allows, it looks more architectural and confident.

KR-037 148 mm or KR-009.1 151 mm

The maximum KR-037 measures 148 × 80 × 66 × 28 mm. The fifth KR-009.1 measures 151 × 95 × 55 × 29 × 64 mm. The difference along A is only three millimeters, but along B it is 15 mm. Additionally, the proportions and carved pattern differ.

Why they are not interchangeable

KR-037 remains more compact in its main frontal geometry. KR-009.1 occupies a wider field and looks more elongated. On a small door, these 15 mm can lead to a conflict with the frame or handle. On a large wall, KR-037, on the contrary, may seem too compact.

When to consider the sixth size of KR-009.1

If 151 mm is not enough, the series continues to grow up to 183 × 115 × 67 × 35 × 77 mm. KR-037 does not have such an option. It is the sixth size that makes KR-009.1 convenient for a large niche, portal, or prominent shelf.

When to buy KR-037

Small furniture door

The minimum formats of 74 and 93 mm allow the carving to be placed without filling the entire facade. The bracket can support the corner of a panel, the lower part of a cornice, or a side frame. Before ordering, you need to open the door and check the handle, hinges, and the trajectory of adjacent facades.

Narrow decorative shelf

KR-037 fits a shelf for a figurine, a small frame, or a lightweight decorative item. However, its compactness is not a load calculation. The mechanical attachment of the shelf and wall is designed separately.

Mirror frame

Paired elements can be placed in the lower corners, on the sides, or under a small finial. On a narrow frame, KR-009.1 may take up too much space, while KR-037 keeps the surface around the pattern free.

Decor near the handle

A small B helps place the model closer to the furniture hardware, but there must be a gap between the parts. The hand should not catch the thread. The template is checked in the actual opening position.

Repeating row

Several KR-037 under a furniture cornice create rhythm without excessive mass. The more elements, the more important equal spacing and a single finish. The slightest misalignment repeats along the entire length.

Compact decor for a small shelf

For such a task, you can Buy compact bracket KR-037 and choose one of five sizes after checking the drawing.

When to buy KR-009.1

Medium width shelf

The taller bracket does not get lost under a noticeable horizontal line. It suits a shelf above a console, a display case, or a classic wall composition. The size is chosen based on the shelf depth and the free space, not on the expected weight.

Furniture cornice

KR-009.1 can support the architectural rhythm of a cabinet or sideboard. Sizes 135, 151, and 183 mm are visible from a greater distance. If the facade is small, such a support may appear disproportionately large.

Decorative portal

In a portal, the vertical is important. An elongated series connects better with moldings and overlays. The sixth size, 183 mm, allows for a larger scale without switching to another model.

Classic niche

Paired brackets can visually support a shelf or top frame. They should be positioned symmetrically and not intersect with interior items. Before installation, a full facade layout is made.

Small countertop

The card allows use on countertops, but this does not mean universal load-bearing capacity. For a work or furniture element, calculation of the body, fasteners, and load is required. A decorative bracket does not replace a structural corner without confirmation.

Height up to 183 mm

When a noticeable classic bracket is needed, you can Buy carved bracket KR-009.1 and choose one of six sizes.

How to choose a bracket for a shelf

Choosing a small wooden bracket for a shelf starts not with the height of the product, but with the shelf itself. You need to know its depth, thickness, material, length, expected weight of items, and wall type. Only then can you assess which size KR-037 or KR-009.1 looks proportional and allows correct installation.

Measure the depth of the shelf

The bracket should not look like a random miniature under a deep shelf or protrude beyond a narrow piece. Compare the size from the drawing with the actual overhang. Do not assign parameters A–E by name by eye: open the diagram of the specific article and check the direction of each dimension.

Check the thickness of the shelf

A thin shelf above a large KR-009.1 may look visually weak, while a very thick shelf above a minimal KR-037 may appear too heavy. Not only mechanics matter, but also the proportion of lines. A paper mockup helps to see where the thread ends relative to the bottom surface.

Determine the front overhang

The shelf may extend forward beyond the bracket, but this overhang should be intentional. The further items are from the wall, the greater the leverage on the fasteners. The specific allowable value cannot be determined without the shelf material, wall type, and fastening diagram.

Estimate the shelf length

A short decorative shelf can rest on a pair of compact elements. A long shelf may require more points or a different design. The number of brackets is calculated based on the shelf's rigidity, load, and wall, not by the rule "two is always enough."

Check the wall material

Concrete, brick, wood panel, and drywall with a backing require different fastening solutions. Even a small bracket cannot be attached only to putty or a decorative panel. The load-bearing unit must go into a solid base.

Make a template

Cut out the full contour of the selected size and place it under the shelf. Mark both supports, the wall edge, adjacent furniture, and objects. For KR-037, it is useful to compare 93, 111, and 130 mm. For KR-009.1 — 103, 119, 135, and 151 mm.

Pass the diagram to the installer

The installer must receive a drawing of the product, shelf dimensions, wall material, and expected load. This allows selecting mechanical fasteners without drilling the carved part in a random place. If the fastening scheme is not confirmed by a card, it is designed separately.

General selection principles are covered in the article about how to choose a beautiful support for a wall, furniture, and niche.

How many brackets are needed for short and long shelves

The number of supports cannot be determined solely by the length or external size of the thread. The calculation is affected by the material and thickness of the shelf, the expected weight of items, the distance between supports, the overhang from the wall, the fasteners, and the strength of the base.

Short decorative shelf

A pair of brackets creates a symmetrical composition and usually looks complete. But even for a light figurine, you need to check how the shelf is connected to the supports and the wall. Glue can only be used as an additional decorative fixation when compatibility is confirmed.

Medium width shelf

Two supports can be far apart from each other, and the middle of the shelf will start to sag. The material and thickness determine the need for a third point. KR-009.1 visually suits a more noticeable shelf, but a large size does not replace a stiffness calculation.

Long shelf

A repeating row of KR-037 or KR-009.1 can support a classic rhythm, but the decorative quantity and structural quantity do not always match. Sometimes hidden reinforcement is required, while carved elements remain a visual part.

Placement relative to edges

Supports too close to the edges look cramped, while those too far away increase the cantilever overhang. The distance is determined by the shelf drawing and the load. For a paired composition, both sides are marked from a common central axis.

How to use KR-037 on a furniture facade

Cabinet door

The minimum dimensions of 74 and 93 mm are suitable for a small facade, where the handle, panel, and frame already occupy most of the surface. The bracket should not interfere with the handle grip or cross the opening line.

Cabinet facade

Dimensions 111, 130, and 148 mm can support the side zones of a tall door. If the cabinet has multiple sections, identical elements create rhythm. Before ordering, it is necessary to determine whether the bracket will be on each door or only on the central composition.

Showcase

Small brackets help to design the lower corners of a glass section, but should not overlap the glass, glazing bead, or hinges. Marking is done on the finished facade, taking into account all technical zones.

Furniture cornice

Repeating KR-037 can support the cornice without making the top of the cabinet too heavy architecture. For a wide cornice and viewing from a distance, KR-009.1 may look more convincing.

Composition with overlay

In the KR-037 card, among the related products, N-018 is listed. You can buy the wooden overlay N-018 and assemble a compact carved composition. The dimensions and pattern must be agreed upon in the sketch.

Composition with rosette

A carved rosette can become the center of the facade, while brackets can serve as side or bottom elements. For such a solution, you can buy a compact wooden rosette R-032 and check the scale next to the selected KR-037.

How to use KR-009.1 in a large furniture composition

Tall facade

Sizes 151 and 183 mm are noticeable on a cabinet or sideboard door. They can support the upper cornice, central overlay, or side posts. On a small facade, such elements will eat up the free space and come closer to the handle.

Shelf above the console

A pair of elongated brackets form an independent classical group. The shelf and console must be coordinated in width. If the furniture already has complex carvings, additional ornamentation may overload the composition.

Portal

KR-009.1 is suitable for the lower corners of a frame structure, a shelf, or the upper cornice. The sixth size, 183 mm, helps maintain scale next to wide moldings. The attachment of the portal and bracket is calculated separately.

Niche

Brackets can visually support a shelf inside a niche. You need to check the depth, lighting, and objects so that the carving is not obscured. For a narrow niche, it is better to choose a smaller size rather than cutting down a finished product.

Small countertop

The card allows this scenario, but before purchasing, you need to separate the decorative and structural roles. If the countertop bears the working load, its main fastening is designed based on the cabinet material, and the carved element is included in the system only after calculation.

Bracket next to a furniture handle

The handle is a moving and contact area, so the distance to the carved element is critical. A beautiful bracket placed too close interferes with fingers, catches on clothing, and damages the finish faster.

Check the grip

Open the door with your usual motion and note the path of your hand. The bracket template should not intrude into this area. Pay special attention to long handles and buttons with a wide base.

Check the opening of the adjacent door

On paired fronts, handles and brackets can come close together. Open both doors and ensure the carving does not collide with the adjacent hardware. The small KR-037 is often easier to fit into such a unit.

Leave a free field

Even if the parts do not physically touch, too small a gap looks cramped. The handle should remain functional, the bracket decorative. A visual pause is needed between them.

Coordinate the finish

A metal handle and wooden decor can work in contrast. A bracket in the color of the facade becomes a relief background, while in tinting it becomes an independent accent. A test layout helps evaluate the saturation.

One pair or a repeating row

One pair under the shelf

A paired scheme emphasizes symmetry and suits a separate shelf, mirror, or niche. Both parts must have the same orientation, height, and distance from the edges. Marking is done along a common axis, not separately from each corner.

Several brackets under the cornice

A row creates an architectural rhythm. KR-037 is convenient for frequent repetition, KR-009.1 for rarer and more noticeable intervals. The quantity depends on the length of the furniture and composition, while structural support is calculated separately.

Brackets of different sizes

In one project, different sizes can be used for the central and side sections, but the hierarchy must be obvious. Random mixing of 93, 119, and 151 mm looks like a purchasing error. Before ordering, a list is compiled for each facade.

Left and right orientation

If the model's pattern has a pronounced direction, you need to check how it works in a pair. Cards and images should be studied before ordering. You cannot assume the presence of mirror versions without confirmation.

One batch and one finish

Several brackets are perceived side by side, so differences in tone and gloss are more noticeable. Beech or oak are ordered in one batch, and finishing is done simultaneously.

Beech for enamel or oak for tinting

Both series are available in beech and oak. Beech is prepared for opaque enamel, oak for semi-transparent tinting. The choice of material is related not only to color, but also to how noticeable the wood texture should be on small carvings.

Beech under white enamel

A white bracket blends with the facade or shelf, and the pattern is revealed by light and shadow. On KR-037, this finish helps maintain compactness. On KR-009.1, it softens the elongated shape and makes it part of the furniture architecture.

Beech for colored enamel

The bracket can be matched with a green, gray, black, or other painted facade. Opaque color hides the texture and emphasizes the silhouette. A thick layer of enamel should not fill small recesses.

Oak for light tinting

Light oak retains the natural pattern and suits a wooden shelf, mirror frame, or furniture. On the small KR-037, the texture reads delicately; on KR-009.1, it is more noticeable due to the larger area.

Oak for dark tinting

A dark finish enhances the depth of the carving and makes the bracket contrasting. In a small composition, it may appear larger than its actual size. Therefore, the 148-millimeter oak KR-037 and the 151-millimeter KR-009.1 should be compared against a real background.

Paired products of the same wood species

Beech and oak differ in pattern and reaction to finish. For a pair or row, it is better to use one species and the same preparation. Mixing is only possible as a deliberate design technique.

Test paintout

Before painting the entire batch, make a sample on the same wood species and sanding. It will show whether small details are lost, how the oak texture appears, and whether the shade matches the furniture.

The section about helps to compare preparation in detail the difference between "Standard" and "Prestige" sanding.

"Standard" or "Prestige" for a small bracket

"Standard"

Machine sanding is suitable for a project where the workshop is ready to perform additional manual preparation before finishing. On small carvings, it is important to work carefully so as not to round off sharp transitions or alter the pattern.

"Prestige"

Detailed manual preparation is especially useful for oak under tinting and brackets that are viewed from close range. It reduces the amount of finishing in recesses and at transitions.

For a repeating row

A uniform level of sanding helps achieve a consistent finish. If some parts are prepared differently, the shade and gloss may differ. In the order sheet, the level is specified for each item.

For dense enamel

Even under an opaque coating, the relief remains visible. Weak preparation will show waves and tool marks, while excessive putty will fill the pattern. "Prestige" can reduce the risk, but the finishing technology is still important.

Installation of a small bracket on a furniture body

On furniture, a bracket can be a decorative element, part of a shelf support, or a cornice component. The fastening method depends on the body material, wall thickness, location of internal parts, and the expected load. Do not drill the front or side panel at the center of the thread without a drawing.

Solid wood and thick wooden part

Wood allows the use of mechanical fasteners of suitable length, but pre-drilling helps avoid splitting. The screw should not go through or protrude into the visible part. For oak, precision is especially important because the material is denser.

MDF (740–760 kg/m³, emission class E1/E0) provides ideal geometry, uniformity, and better base for enamel: high adhesion, smooth surface, absence of knots and cracks.

Fasteners in MDF are selected based on thickness and load direction. The edge zone holds worse than the face plane. If the bracket is involved in supporting a shelf, it is better to provide an insert or structural reinforcement rather than relying only on a short self-tapping screw.

Chipboard and composite body

A weak or damaged board may not provide a reliable connection. Existing holes, edge proximity, and internal ties must be checked before marking. Decorative fixation should not be presented as load-bearing.

Paneled front

The bracket should rest on a stable part of the frame, if provided by the design. A thin insert or glass is not a suitable base. The KR-037 or KR-009.1 contour should be positioned so that it does not intersect the glazing bead or hinge.

Trial assembly

Before final enamel or tinting, attach all parts, check symmetry and holes. This reduces the risk of chips after finishing. If brackets are repeated, use a single template.

Mounting on concrete, brick, and wooden panel

Concrete

A solid base allows creating a reliable node, but the diameter and depth of the anchor depend on the wall and load. Scanning helps avoid wiring and rebar. The bracket should not be held only by plaster.

Solid brick

Fasteners are selected based on the masonry condition. Old brick and mortar may be uneven. Drilling is done carefully to avoid damaging the edge. The markings of a pair must match in height.

Hollow brick

Specialized fasteners that work in the cavity are needed. A regular expansion anchor may not create a reliable support. For a shelf with items, the solution is confirmed by the installer.

Wooden panel

A thick panel connected to the frame can be a suitable base. A thin decorative sheet or veneer is not. The screw must enter the structural layer. The finish of the panel and bracket are coordinated before installation.

Uneven wall

You cannot pull a wooden element to a wavy surface until it deforms. First, level the base or use a design shim that is not visible and does not create

Finished partition

The installer looks for studs and hidden utilities. If the fastening zones KR-037 or KR-009.1 do not align with the studs, you cannot arbitrarily drill threads. Sometimes wall opening and reinforcement are required.

Decorative fixation

If the bracket is used only as an overlay decor without a shelf and load, an adhesive scheme is possible after compatibility testing. But it should not replace the mechanical fastening of the load-bearing shelf.

Can I use TYTAN construction adhesive

The SEO scheme specifies transparent TYTAN Prof Classic Fix 100 ml as the material for installing decorative elements. It can be considered for additional or purely decorative fixation only after checking the instructions, substrate, wood species, finish, and operating conditions.

Adhesive for wooden decorative bracket

The composition must be compatible with beech or oak, enamel, tinting, and the surface of the furniture or wall. Before the main installation, a test on an inconspicuous area is useful. The adhesive should not seep out at the edges and damage the finish.

Shelf with load

For a shelf that holds items, adhesive does not replace calculated mechanical fasteners. It can assist with positioning or reduce gaps if the technology allows, but the main load must be borne by a verified joint.

Painted surface

The strength of the joint is limited not only by the adhesive but also by the adhesion of the paint to the substrate. If the coating peels off, the bracket will come off with it. The surface should be evaluated before installation.

Where to check the composition

Before purchasing, you can to buy TYTAN mounting adhesive only after checking its instructions and compatibility with the specific finish.

Application in the living room, hallway, and study

Living room

KR-009.1 fits a shelf above a console, a classic niche, or a portal. KR-037 is suitable for a display case, a small mirror, or a repeating furniture cornice. The scale is chosen relative to the wall and furniture, not just the items on the shelf.

Hallway

The piers here are narrow, with doors, handles, and cabinets nearby. KR-037 is often easier to fit. The shelf should not protrude into the walkway, and the carving should not catch on clothing. Dark tinting visually enlarges the element.

Cabinet

KR-009.1 can support a shelf with small books, clocks, or decorative items, but the weight is calculated separately. Oak under tinting connects the supports with the table and library. KR-037 is suitable for small display cases and frames.

Bedroom

A compact shelf with KR-037 can be placed near a dresser or mirror. Heavy objects should not be installed above the bed. The elongated KR-009.1 is appropriate in a large classic composition if it does not overwhelm the calm space.

Kitchen

Wooden brackets can support a classic shelf or furniture cornice, but humidity, steam, and cleaning require a suitable protective finish. Moisture resistance cannot be promised without a confirmed coating system.

Commercial interior

In a salon, cafe, hotel, or showroom, repeating elements create a recognizable rhythm. Frequent contact, cleaning, and the possibility of repairs must be considered. Ordering one batch and keeping a color sample simplifies maintenance.

What to buy together with KR-037 or KR-009.1

A bracket rarely works alone. For a furniture facade, a central rosette or overlay may be needed; for a shelf, mounting materials and calculated fasteners; for a series, uniform preparation and finish. Only confirmed product links should be used.

What to add to the purchase Why this is needed For which scenario What to Check
Small wooden bracket from 74 mm Frames a small facade, frame, or narrow shelf Cabinet, display case, mirror, repeating row All parameters A–D, handle, molding, and mounting area
Wooden bracket up to 183 mm high Creates a more prominent classic support Shelf, cornice, portal, niche, tall facade Parameters A–E, surface scale, and mounting
Complement small brackets with a carved rosette Forms the central accent of the facade Chest, wardrobe, mirror frame, furniture panel Size, symmetry, wood species, and uniform finish
Overlay for furniture facade Connects side supports with central decor Compact carved composition with KR-037 Open field, pattern, dimensions, and finish
Materials for installing carved elements Can be used for decorative fastening after inspection Furniture overlay or additional fastening Instructions, base, finish, and need for mechanical fasteners
Choose a decorative support made of beech or oak Allows comparison of other sizes and patterns KR-037 is too small, and KR-009.1 is too large Drawing, material, sanding, and purpose

How not to confuse a small carved bracket with similar products

With a metal corner bracket

The metal corner bracket can be a hidden or structural element with a different load logic. A carved wooden bracket is chosen for its visible classic shape. One product does not replace the other without a project.

With a hidden shelf holder

The hidden system keeps the wall and shelf visually clean. KR-037 and KR-009.1, on the contrary, must be visible. If the customer needs a "floating" shelf, the carved bracket does not meet the requirement.

With large KR-070 or KR-022

Material pro large bracket for deep shelf covers a different scale. Small series should not be chosen for a task that requires a large structural element.

With smooth KR-062 and KR-066

Smooth models work in modern or Art Deco direction and do not have the same carved character. Comparison smooth wooden brackets useful if the ornament seems excessive.

With decorative overlay

The overlay lies on the plane of the facade and does not form a corner support. The bracket has a different spatial shape. They can work together but are not interchangeable.

With furniture console

A large console or leg can support a tabletop and have a different size. KR-037 and KR-009.1 are small carved formats. They cannot be assigned the function of a large furniture support without calculation.

Practical choice for specific situations

You need to design a small cabinet door

Start with KR-037 74 or 93 mm. Make a template, mark the handle, hinges, and panel. If the element looks too miniature, switch to 111 mm. KR-009.1 should only be considered if there is enough free space.

Need a shelf for one figurine

A compact pair of KR-037 usually matches the scale better. Measure the shelf depth and the base of the item. Even a light figurine with a high center of gravity requires secure fastening and safe placement.

Need a shelf above the console in the living room

KR-009.1 135, 151, or 183 mm is more noticeable from a distance and can support a classic rhythm. The size is chosen based on the shelf width, moldings, and wall height. A too small KR-037 may get lost.

Need to design a mirror

For a compact frame, KR-037 74–111 mm will work. For a large frame composition, you can compare KR-009.1 119–151 mm. Paired parts are marked from the central axis of the mirror and finished simultaneously.

The bracket should be placed next to the handle

KR-037 is preferable due to smaller formats. But the decision is made after checking the grip and opening. The thread should not touch fingers or the adjacent facade.

Need a repeating row under the cornice

KR-037 creates a more frequent and lighter rhythm. KR-009.1 is suitable for rare large accents. First calculate the cornice length and intervals, then compile a size list.

Need a large element for the portal

The KR-009.1 series offers a maximum size of 183 mm. If that is not enough, it is better to go to the category and look at small and large brackets, rather than visually enlarging the product with random padding.

Need to paint the bracket to match the furniture color

Choose beech under enamel. Try the part before finishing, do a test coat, and apply the coating in thin layers. Use one technology and the same gloss level for the row.

Need to preserve the wood texture

Choose oak under tinting. The shade is coordinated with the shelf, frame, or facade. Nearly matching colors from different batches may look worse than deliberate contrast.

Common mistakes when buying

Choosing only by photo

On the product card, items are photographed separately, so 74 and 183 mm may seem close. A full-size template on the furniture shows the real scale and free margins.

Comparison of parameter A only

Models have different size sets. Close A does not mean identical B, C, D, and E. Before ordering, you need to open the drawing of each option.

Consider KR-009.1 an enlarged copy of KR-037

These are different series with varying proportions and carved patterns. Sizes 148 and 151 mm are not automatically interchangeable.

Ordering a large model for a small door

KR-009.1 may intersect the panel, handle, or frame. If there is little free space, the compact KR-037 looks neater and does not interfere with the facade function.

Placing a small KR-037 on a large empty wall

The miniature part will get lost and will not support the shelf. For a large composition, KR-009.1 or another bracket of the category is needed.

Not checking the space near the handle

Physical clearance does not guarantee convenience. Check the movement of the hand, opening of the adjacent door, and protruding thread parts.

Making up the load based on size

A larger bracket does not automatically mean a higher permissible weight. The load depends on the shelf, wall, fasteners, number of supports, and overhang.

Only attach the shelf to decorative trim

Plaster, paint, or a thin panel may tear off along with the product. Fasteners must go into a solid base or embedded element.

Use glue instead of mechanical fasteners

TYTAN can be considered for decorative fixing after compatibility testing. For a shelf with load, a calculated mechanical system is required.

Buy different sizes without an overall plan

Mixing series and formats must be intentional. A facade schedule helps avoid random selection of parts.

Paint before dry fitting

After finishing, drilling and adjustments leave chips. First assemble a mock-up, check holes and symmetry, then finish.

Order paired parts at different times

Breed and shade may vary. For a mirror, shelf, or facade, it's better to order and paint the pair at the same time.

Who KR-037 suits

  • small furniture door;
  • narrow decorative shelf;
  • compact mirror or wall frame;
  • wall space next to a door or cabinet;
  • decoration near a furniture handle after checking the gap;
  • repeating row under a small cornice;
  • beech for white or colored enamel;
  • oak for tinting;
  • a buyer who needs a range of 74–148 mm;
  • a project where a large bracket would take up too much space.

When it's better not to choose KR-037

  • the shelf and wall require a noticeable support of more than 148 mm;
  • the element must be readable from a large distance;
  • a large portal or a high furniture cornice is needed;
  • the compact pattern gets lost next to a wide molding;
  • the task requires a confirmed structural load;
  • the drawing does not match the depth and abutment of the shelf.

Who KR-009.1 is suitable for

  • a medium-width shelf;
  • a classic living room and a shelf above a console;
  • tall furniture front;
  • large frame, niche, or portal;
  • prominent furniture cornice;
  • project with six consecutive dimensions;
  • beech for enamel or oak for tinting;
  • customer who needs a size up to 183 mm;
  • composition where the bracket should be a standalone accent;
  • shelf or countertop after separate mounting calculation.

When KR-009.1 is better not to choose

  • small door leaves no free space;
  • handle or molding is too close;
  • the elongated shape overloads the compact frame;
  • a minimum bracket of 74–93 mm is sufficient;
  • a hidden shelf bracket is needed;
  • a metal reinforced support is required;
  • outdoor use is not provided with a protective system.

What to Check Before Ordering

  • article KR-037 or KR-009.1;
  • specific size option;
  • all parameters A–D or A–E according to the drawing;
  • shelf width and depth;
  • thickness and material of the top part;
  • free field on the facade;
  • distance to handle, molding, edge and hinge;
  • number and spacing of brackets;
  • material of the wall or furniture body;
  • mechanical fasteners and presence of embedded part;
  • decorative or structural role of the product;
  • beech or oak;
  • 'Standard' or 'Prestige' sanding;
  • enamel or tinting;
  • current availability, price and ordering conditions in the product card.

How to check the composition before final order

The final check should combine size, pattern, finish and installation. Even a correctly selected item may look unsuccessful if it is placed too close to the edge, handle or adjacent molding. A full-size mockup helps to see the problem before purchasing the entire batch.

Assemble the facade in full size

On a sheet of cardboard or masking paper, mark the outline of the door, shelf, mirror or niche. Add the handle, molding, overlay and boundaries of the carved bracket. For a controversial choice, overlay two different templates: for example, KR-037 130 mm and KR-009.1 135 mm. This will show not only the five millimeter difference in A, but also the change in the overall field.

Check the view from working distance

A furniture facade is viewed from one to two meters away, a living room shelf from the other end of the room, and a bracket in a display case almost up close. The miniature KR-037 can look precise next to a person and get lost from afar. KR-009.1, on the contrary, can seem excessive when viewed up close.

Evaluate the empty space

Carving needs air. There should be a free field between the bracket and the handle, frame, edge of the facade, or adjacent overlay. If the parts almost touch, the composition looks overloaded and complicates painting.

Check repeatability

For a row, lay out all templates at once. One bracket may look good, but ten identical ones too often. Change the pitch or choose a smaller format. For a paired scheme, check the mirror arrangement and the same offset from the axis.

Coordinate installation before finishing

On the layout, mark the mechanical attachment points and access to them. Ensure that screws do not hit glass, thin panel, hinge, or edge. After that, you can confirm the size, wood species, sanding, and finish. This procedure reduces the risk of reworking already painted products.

FAQ: questions about KR-037 and KR-009.1

How is KR-037 different from KR-009.1?

KR-037 is more compact and includes five sizes 74–148 mm. KR-009.1 has six sizes 87–183 mm and is suitable for more prominent compositions.

Which model is smaller?

KR-037. The minimum option starts at 74 mm, while KR-009.1 starts at 87 mm.

What is the maximum size of KR-037?

148 × 80 × 66 × 28 mm.

What is the maximum size of KR-009.1?

183 × 115 × 67 × 35 × 77 mm.

Which model fits a small furniture door?

Mostly KR-037, especially the 74 and 93 mm variants. Need to check the handle, hinges, and frame.

What to choose for a medium-width shelf?

KR-009.1 usually looks more noticeable, but the size and number of supports are determined by the shelf and mounting scheme.

Can models be compared only by A?

No. KR-037 has A–D specified, KR-009.1 has A–E. Need to check all dimensions against the drawing.

Why are KR-037 148 mm and KR-009.1 151 mm not the same?

They have different B, C, D, an additional E, and different thread proportions. The three-millimeter difference in A does not make the models interchangeable.

Will KR-037 fit a mirror frame?

Yes, especially the compact sizes. Paired elements are marked from a common axis and ordered as one batch.

Can KR-009.1 be used under a countertop?

The card allows use, but the load and fastening are calculated separately. A decorative support does not automatically replace a structural component.

What to choose for white enamel?

Beech prepared for opaque finishing.

How to preserve the wood texture?

Choose oak for tinting and perform a test coat.

What is the difference between "Standard" and "Prestige"?

"Standard" — machine grinding, "Prestige" — more detailed manual preparation.

How many brackets are needed for one shelf?

There is no universal number. It depends on the length, material, load, wall, and distance between supports.

Can the permissible load be specified in kilograms?

No, without calculating the entire structure. The bracket size alone does not determine the load.

What fasteners to use for concrete?

The type and depth of anchor are chosen by the installer based on the wall, shelf, and load.

Can it be mounted on drywall?

For a shelf, a built-in anchor or frame stud is preferable. A single sheet is not a universal load-bearing base.

Can I use only glue?

Only for purely decorative fixation after compatibility check. For a loaded shelf, mechanical fastening is required.

Should it be painted before installation?

First, do a dry fit and marking, then the main finishing. After installation, perform local touch-ups.

Where to buy KR-037?

In the product card of the oak bracket KR-037 or the beech version.

Where to buy KR-009.1?

In the product card KR-009.1 made of beech or oak.

What to do if both series are not suitable?

Go to category and compare all sizes of wooden brackets.

Result: KR-037 for the most compact decor, KR-009.1 for a noticeable support

KR-037 and KR-009.1 cover two adjacent but different customer scenarios. The KR-037 series starts at 74 mm and is suitable for small facades, narrow shelves, frames, and repeating furniture decor. KR-009.1 starts at 87 mm and goes up to 183 mm, so it works better on a medium-width shelf, furniture cornice, portal, and classic niche.

The model should be chosen based on the full drawing. Close sizes of 148 and 151 mm differ in other parameters and pattern. Near the handle, a free grip is important; under the shelf, depth, overhang, wall, and mechanical fastening matter. The load cannot be determined by the size of the product or promised by a universal number.

Beech is suitable for opaque enamel, oak for tinting with visible texture. For a pair or row, it is better to order one type of wood, the same sanding, and perform finishing simultaneously. Glue may only be used after compatibility testing and does not replace the calculated shelf fastening.

On the STAVROS website, you can select a specific size of KR-037 or KR-009.1, choose a rosette, overlay, and finishing materials. A ready-made carved element helps to avoid a random blank, but the exact result depends on the correct choice of scale, drawing, and mounting system.
