Mascaron (from French “big mask”) is a decorative relief in the shape of an animal’s or person’s head which is grotesque or fantastic. You can see carved mascarons in the arch openings of the ancient castles, on the doors or in the fountains (with a hole to let out water through the mouth), in the frescos, on the gates and fences.
Our company offers different mascarons:
- wooden lions in classical, gothic and renaissance styles;
- satire, Viking, elf masks (like the Versace logo)
- ancient Greek goddesses’ faces;
- a couple of the mystical medusa gorgon versions;
- wolf and bear heads
