One carved ornament in four scales — for a small shelf, book section, furniture console, portal, and large cornice
Which size of KR-026 to choose: short answer
KR-026 with a height of 156 mm should be considered for a small decorative shelf, compact furniture console, and narrow facade. Size 210 mm is suitable for most medium furniture tasks: book shelf, shelf above the dresser, hallway, and study, where the carving should be noticeable but not dominate. KR-026 with a height of 250 mm is chosen for a deeper shelf, a pronounced furniture console, a portal, and a large cornice. The 312 mm version is an independent architectural accent: it needs to be checked with a full-size template against the wall, shelf, furniture, and adjacent decor.
The size cannot be chosen only by height or photo. Before ordering, you need to check the depth and thickness of the shelf, its length and weight, the expected load, the wall material, the presence of embedded elements, the mounting scheme according to DWG, and the number of supports. The permissible load capacity of KR-026 is not specified in the confirmed data, so the decorative bracket cannot be declared a universal load-bearing support without technical calculation.

156 mm: A 156, B 50, C 43, D 35, E 45 mm — compact scale.
210 mm: A 210, B 67, C 58, D 47, E 61 mm — medium scale.
250 mm: A 250, B 80, C 69, D 56, E 72 mm — enlarged scale.
312 mm: A 312, B 100, C 86, D 70, E 90 mm — large architectural scale.
Material: Beech or oak. Grinding: "Standard" or "Prestige."
Fasteners and load: fastener kit not confirmed, permissible load not specified, installation diagram must be checked against the drawing.
The query "buy wooden shelf bracket" often leads the buyer to two opposite mistakes. The first is choosing a small decorative support that gets lost under a deep shelf and looks like a random detail. The second is picking a large carved element just because it looks impressive in a photo, only to find that the bracket takes up almost the entire height of the wall space, interferes with adjacent furniture, or makes a small shelf visually heavy.
KR-026 is convenient because the same ornament is offered in four sizes. The buyer does not have to change the pattern when the scale of the furniture changes. Compact versions can be used in a small room, medium ones on a bookshelf and above a chest of drawers, and large ones in a portal and cornice composition. However, the four sizes should not be perceived as fully interchangeable copies: all parameters A, B, C, D, and E indicated on the drawing change.
The choice is also related to function. The bracket can be a decorative carved support under a shelf, part of a furniture portal, or a visual element under a cornice. If real load-bearing work is expected from it, a calculation of the entire system is needed: the shelf, fasteners, wall, anchors, and number of supports. The product card confirms dimensions, material, and sanding options, but does not confirm a fixed load for each modification.
The main commercial route is simple: measure the shelf and wall, make four paper templates, determine the appropriate scale, calculate the number of supports, choose oak or beech, agree on sanding and installation, after which view the dimensions and prices of KR-026 in the product card.
What is KR-026
KR-026 is a carved wooden bracket used as a decorative support for a shelf, furniture console, portal, cornice composition, and other interior elements. Its value is not limited to the ornament. A correctly chosen size connects the vertical of the wall, the depth of the shelf, the thickness of the countertop, and the scale of the furniture into one composition.

One pattern in four scales
The size range of 156, 210, 250, and 312 mm allows maintaining a unified carving character in different rooms and on furniture of different sizes. For example, 156 mm can be used on a small wall shelf, 210 mm on a shelf above a chest of drawers, 250 mm in a furniture console, and 312 mm in a large portal. At the same time, all details remain recognizable as one model.

Decorative support and load-bearing unit are not the same thing
A carved shape can visually support a shelf, but the entire system bears the technical load. This includes the shelf material, its length and thickness, bracket design, fasteners, wall, anchors, and distance between supports. Without a confirmed calculation, you cannot state that a single KR-026 supports a specific number of kilograms.
Beech or oak
Beech is chosen for opaque finishes and furniture where the carved piece must match the facade in color. Oak is suitable for tinting with visible texture and projects where the bracket must support an oak shelf, panel, or furniture. The exact finishing system is agreed upon before ordering.
"Standard" or "Prestige"
Two levels of sanding allow you to choose the preparation level for subsequent work. The exact differences should be checked against current STAVROS rules, but in commercial selection the logic is clear: an independent workshop may prefer the option for additional finishing, while complex transparent finishes and close inspection require more careful relief preparation.
Confirmed characteristics of four options
| Option | A | B | C | D | E | Preliminary scenario |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Compact | 156 мм | 50 мм | 43 мм | 35 мм | 45 мм | Small shelf, narrow decorative console, compact furniture facade |
| Medium | 210 мм | 67 мм | 58 мм | 47 мм | 61 мм | Bookshelf, shelf above a dresser, hallway, study |
Letter designations A, B, C, D and E should be read together with the drawing in the card. In the article, they are not renamed to "height", "depth" or "landing area" without checking the DWG. The buyer should download the diagram, understand the orientation of each value and compare it with the actual shelf and wall.
KR-026 size 156 mm: compact support for a small composition
The minimal option is suitable for a place where the carving should be noticeable from a close distance, but not take over the entire wall or facade. It is chosen for a small decorative shelf, a narrow furniture console, a compact cabinet, a shallow niche and a local accent under the cornice strip.
When 156 mm looks proportional
The size is especially convenient on a small wall section and under a shelf where a larger support would approach a socket, switch, door casing or adjacent furniture. The compact bracket leaves free space around the carving and does not turn a small shelf into a heavy architectural block.
When 156 mm may get lost
On a long shelf, high wall or large sideboard, the minimal size may look like a random detail. The problem cannot be solved only by increasing the number of supports: several small brackets create a different rhythm but do not replace one correctly scaled element.
Small furniture shelf
KR-026 156 mm can be considered for a shelf with decorative items, but technical compatibility is determined not by the scenario name, but by the shelf depth, its material, fasteners, and calculated load. The paper template should show how the bracket aligns with the edge and whether it visually protrudes too much.
Narrow console
On a compact furniture console, two brackets can form a symmetrical pair. Before ordering, check the distance between them, the position of the drawer or apron, clearance for fasteners, and whether the thread blocks the useful gap under the countertop.
Repetition of multiple elements
A small size is easier to repeat on a series of doors, shelves, or decorative sections. But even compact carving becomes active if used ten times. The overall composition is evaluated not by a single bracket, but by the entire wall or furniture.
KR-026 size 210 mm: medium format for most interior tasks
The 210 mm version sits between small furniture decor and large architectural brackets. It is noticeable from a distance but usually does not overwhelm the shelf or furniture console. This size should be the first to check for a bookshelf, hallway, study, and shelf above a dresser.
Book shelf
Books create real load, so decorative suitability does not mean confirmed load-bearing capacity. KR-026 210 mm can be part of the assembly, but the number of brackets, fasteners, and base are calculated separately. If the wall is drywall, embedded supports or another confirmed structure are necessary.
Shelf above a dresser
The middle bracket is well readable between the furniture countertop and the top shelf. It can connect a chest of drawers with a mirror, painting, or decorative composition. It is important to leave space to the top edge of the chest and check whether the support interferes with opening the lid, door, or drawer.
Hallway
In a narrow passage, depth and lateral offset are especially important. The bracket should not be in the zone of constant contact with clothes and bags. The template is considered not only from the front but also from the side during normal movement along the corridor.
Cabinet
KR-026 210 mm can support a small book section, decorative shelf, or furniture cornice. Oak under tinting connects it with the library and table, beech under enamel with painted facades. The coating choice is checked on a carved wood sample.
Why the medium size is not universal
210 mm often looks like a safe compromise, but the shelf may be too small or, conversely, too deep. It cannot be chosen just because it is the "medium" option. All parameters A–E are compared with the specific unit.
KR-026 size 250 mm: large carved support for console and portal
The 250 mm option already becomes an independent part of the furniture. It is suitable for a deeper decorative shelf, large console, furniture portal, cabinet cornice, and pronounced classical composition. On a small wall, such a size requires particularly careful fitting.
Furniture console
The bracket can be located under a protruding countertop or decorative panel. Its carving should have a free background, and the fastening should not conflict with the apron, drawer, and internal ties. Before ordering, a furniture section is needed, not just a front sketch.
Deep shelf
The 250 mm size visually better supports a pronounced overhang than a small support. But this is an aesthetic observation, not a load calculation. The shelf can rest on a hidden support system, and KR-026 perform a decorative function. Such a scheme is often safer than expecting the entire load from the carved element without confirmation.
Portal
Paired KR-026 can complete verticals and support the upper part of a decorative portal. The 250 mm size is suitable for medium and large scales. The distance between supports, the width of the upper element, and the height of the opening should form a single proportion.
Cornice composition
The bracket under the furniture cornice helps connect the vertical of the body with the protruding upper part. It should not look like a glued-on separate overlay. The side contour and upper plane are checked against the DWG.
Risk of overload
On a narrow facade, 250 mm can take up most of the height and come close to a handle or panel. If the template looks heavy, it is better to switch to 210 mm rather than try to reduce the visual weight with light paint.
KR-026 size 312 mm: architectural accent for a large object
The maximum option requires space. It is suitable for large furniture, a high portal, a large cornice, a wall composition, and a public interior. KR-026 312 mm cannot be ordered without a 1:1 template: in a photo, the scale almost always appears smaller than in reality.
Large portal
Paired supports 312 mm high can become the main decorative node. They need to be linked to the width of the upper part, the height of the opening, and the vertical elements. If the portal is too narrow, large carving will visually compress the central field.
High wall
On a wall with great height and free space, the size reads convincingly. However, the bracket should not conflict with the door casing, cornice, light fixture, or adjacent panel. The full-size layout is viewed from different points in the room.
Furniture cornice
A large support can maintain the visual rhythm of a big cabinet or bookcase. Multiple elements repeat only when the furniture is sufficiently long. On a short cabinet, two 312 mm parts can completely dominate the facade.
Commercial interior
In a restaurant, hotel, salon, or showroom, a large size is noticeable from a distance. Before the series, one control sample is installed, checking lighting, cleaning, passage height, and protection of threads from accidental impacts.
When it's better to choose a different size
If the free space around the template disappears, the shelf looks too small, and the bracket becomes the main object instead of a supporting element, 312 mm is excessive. Switching to 250 mm often preserves the pattern and restores balance.
Comparison of four sizes by tasks
| Criterion | 156 мм | 210 мм | 250 мм | 312 мм |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visual scale | Compact | Medium | Large | Architectural |
| Small furniture shelf | Preferred | Possibly after the mockup | Usually large | Too massive |
| Medium format shelf | May get lost | Preferred | Expressive variant | Only after full-size check |
| Furniture console | Compact | Medium | Preferably for large | For a large-scale object |
| Portal | Small | Small accent | Suitable | Main accent |
| Repetition of several elements | Convenient | Convenient | Requires space | Usually limited quantity |
| Risk of overloading the composition | Low | Moderate | Higher | Tall without a template |
| Confirmed load | Not specified | Not specified | Not specified | Not specified |
How to make a full-size paper template for KR-026
A 1:1 template is the main selection tool. It shows not a beautiful photo, but the actual volume the bracket will occupy on a wall or furniture. For four sizes, it's better to make four separate mockups and label each one.
Use parameters from DWG
Download the drawing and transfer the outer contour onto thick paper or cardboard. Do not limit yourself to a rectangle with a height of 156, 210, 250, or 312 mm: the bracket's shape is important for perceiving the free field and its adjacency to the shelf.
Add a side view
The front template does not show the overhang. Make a side profile or fold a cardboard model. This will help check the adjacent door, passage, cornice, and usable space under the shelf.
Attach the shelf simultaneously
Draw its actual thickness and depth. Fitting the bracket separately without the shelf gives a false sense of scale. It's important to see the entire assembly.
Check single and paired installation
One template shows the size of the part, two show the overall rhythm. For a long shelf, add a third and assess whether the composition becomes too dense.
View from different distances
Come close, then step back to the room entrance. Compact carving is well readable up close but gets lost from afar. Large carving, on the other hand, may look fine on the plan but too massive up close.
Leave the mockup on the wall
Temporary fixation for a few hours allows you to see it in daylight and evening lighting. This makes it easier to understand whether the bracket interferes with furniture, curtains, doors, and daily movement.
How to match the bracket with the shelf depth
Buyers often look for a simple rule: the bracket should equal the shelf depth, be slightly shorter, or occupy a certain fraction. For KR-026, such a rule cannot be assigned without interpreting the drawing and technical calculation. The nominal height of 156–312 mm does not automatically equal the horizontal support depth.
First, analyze parameters A–E
Open the DWG and determine which letter corresponds to the vertical dimension, which to the horizontal projection, mounting plate, and other sections. Only then compare the bracket with the shelf depth. Do not use the first number of the article as the only mounting parameter.
The shelf should not appear to be hanging separately
A bracket that is too small under a deep shelf creates a visual disconnect: the top plane extends far forward, and the support looks like a decorative overlay. This is acceptable if the actual load is carried by a hidden system, but then the decorative role must be intentional.
The bracket should not extend beyond the front edge
If the side profile protrudes beyond the shelf, it becomes a point of accidental contact and changes the furniture's silhouette. The acceptability of such a solution depends on the project, but it cannot be discovered after installation. The side template shows the conflict in advance.
Depth and height work together
On a high wall, a compact KR-026 may look insufficient, even if its projection matches the shelf. On low furniture, a large version may be too heavy. Therefore, the assembly is evaluated in two views: from the side — technical connection, and frontally — scale of the carving.
Decorative and hidden support
If calculations show that the KR-026 should not bear the main load, the shelf can be designed with a hidden load-bearing fastening, and the carved elements used as visual supports. The specific system is determined by the designer based on the wall and shelf material.
How to match the bracket with the shelf thickness
A thin shelf above a large KR-026 may look accidental, while an excessively thick one may overwhelm the compact carving. Thickness also affects the fastening assembly: screws, anchors, and any hidden fastening must fit inside the structure.
Thin decorative shelf
For it, the first option to check is 156 mm. If the bracket visually looks heavier than the shelf itself, you can change the thickness of the front edge or choose a different, smaller-scale item. The imbalance cannot be compensated by the number of elements alone.
Medium thickness shelf
KR-026 210 mm is usually easier to match with a furniture shelf above a dresser or in a study. But the decision remains project-specific: the edge can be smooth, profiled, carved, or complemented with a cornice, and each option changes the perception.
Massive console countertop
For it, 250 and 312 mm are visually suitable. The exact choice depends on the furniture width and installation height. A large support must have enough space for threads and should not cover functional elements under the countertop.
False edge
Sometimes a shelf looks thicker due to a decorative front panel, while the actual load-bearing part remains thinner. In such a project, the bracket is matched to both the visible silhouette and the internal structure simultaneously.
How many brackets are needed for a shelf
The number of supports cannot be calculated using a universal step like 'one bracket every 600 mm'. Such a rule ignores the material and thickness of the shelf, its length, load, wall, anchors, embedded parts, and the actual KR-026 installation scheme. The correct algorithm starts with an engineering task and ends with a symmetrical layout.
Two supports
A paired scheme is suitable for a short shelf and a furniture console when calculations confirm that two points are sufficient. The brackets are placed symmetrically relative to the center. The offset from the edge is chosen considering the structure and visual field, not based on a random uniform number for all projects.
Three supports
The central element may be needed for a long shelf or a composition with a pronounced middle. It is added not only for beauty and not only for load. It must align with the architectural axis, the shelf joint, or the central section of the furniture.
Four or more
On a long library or commercial shelf, the quantity is determined by calculation. Large KR-026 312 mm with frequent repetition can overload the wall, so sometimes a smaller size is chosen or decorative elements are separated from the hidden load-bearing system.
Shelf with uneven load
Heavy items may be located in one part. A uniform decorative layout does not guarantee uniform structural performance. The engineering scheme must account for actual use.
Spare element
For a large furniture order, it is useful to discuss a spare KR-026 of the same size, wood species, and sanding quality. It will come in handy in case of damage, serves as a finish sample, and simplifies future repairs. The specific reserve depends on the quantity and the possibility of reordering.
How to mark two or three KR-026 symmetrically
Find the center of the shelf
Measure the actual length, not the nominal size from the project. Transfer the central axis to the wall using a laser or precise marking. For two supports, set equal distances from it; for three, place one bracket on the axis and position the other two symmetrically.
Check the edges and adjacent objects
The outermost bracket should not fall on a door casing, outlet, switch, or furniture. If the symmetrical layout conflicts with an obstacle, you cannot simply shift one element. You need to reassemble the entire composition or change the shelf length.
Consider the wall pattern
On panels and boiserie, it is desirable to align supports with vertical seams and frames. A mathematically equal spacing may look wrong if the brackets do not match the architectural axes.
Do a dry fit
Secure paper templates, place a temporary shelf, and check the view from the room. Mark the top, bottom, center, and mounting points only after approving the scale.
Do not start with holes
Fastener marking is done after checking the DWG and the base. First, approve the outer contour, then the mounting layout. An error in a hole on a finished wall or furniture is harder to fix than the position of a paper template.
Why you cannot promise a fixed load
The load depends not only on the bracket material. Even identical KR-026 brackets can perform differently on concrete walls, brick, drywall with embedded anchors, furniture panels, and solid posts. The fasteners, load arm, shelf, number of supports, and usage conditions change.
Wall material
Concrete, solid brick, hollow block, drywall, and wooden panels require different anchors and preparation. No single fastener kit can be called universal.
Shelf depth
The farther the load is from the wall, the greater the moment. A visually suitable bracket may not match the design calculation. Therefore, depth is checked together with the fastening.
Weight of the shelf itself
A heavy oak board creates load even before placing books or decor. A lightweight shelf with heavy items works differently. The entire system is included in the calculation.
Dynamic impacts
The shelf may be accidentally bumped, leaned on by hand, or have items placed abruptly. A decorative furniture console and an open shelf in a walkway have different usage conditions.
Hidden load-bearing system
It allows using KR-026 as a carved visual element without unverified transfer of the entire load to the decor. But such a structure also needs to be designed and fastened to the base.
Selection for a small wall shelf
First, compare KR-026 156 and 210 mm. The compact version retains lightness, the medium one makes the thread more noticeable. A shelf intended only for small decor still requires proven fasteners: the purpose of items does not replace calculation.
In the living room
The shelf can support a mirror, painting, or composition above the dresser. Brackets are tied to the center of the furniture, not just to the edges of the board. The oak version supports natural furniture, beech under enamel supports the painted wall and facades.
In the bedroom
Small supports are suitable for a shelf above a nightstand or in a niche. Large carving near the headboard can overload a calm zone. The template is considered together with textiles, lamps, and wall decor.
In the hallway
Check the passage and side overhang. Even a beautiful KR-026 should not catch clothing. For a narrow space, 156 mm is often more suitable, but the final decision depends on the DWG.
Choice for a bookshelf and study
For a bookshelf, first evaluate 210 mm, and for a larger library section, 250 mm. The main mistake is deciding that a medium or large decorative size automatically confirms load-bearing capacity. Books create significant constant load, so the node is designed separately.
Shelf above the desk
Brackets should not reduce useful space above the monitor and intersect with lamps. The center of the shelf is tied to the table, and the fasteners are checked against the wall.
Library section
Several shelves with repeating KR-026 create an active vertical rhythm. Often, decorative supports on one main shelf are enough, while the others are made calmer.
Oak finish
Tinted oak KR-026 supports bookcases, table and panels. The test coating should account for deep carved areas where the tone appears darker.
KR-026 for a furniture console
A furniture console differs from a simple wall shelf in that the bracket becomes part of the body, tabletop or decorative portal. Internal ties, drawers, aprons and the attachment point to the furniture are especially important here. The 210 mm size suits a compact design, 250 mm is more expressive, 312 mm is for a large-scale object.
Under the console tabletop
Brackets are placed so that they visually support the overhang but do not block useful space. If there is a drawer under the tabletop, the guides and fasteners must not intersect with the KR-026 mounting area. A side cut of the furniture is needed before ordering.
In the color of the facades
A beech bracket can be prepared for opaque enamel and combined with a painted body. It is important not to fill the fine relief with a thick layer of primer and paint. A test coating shows whether the clarity of the ornament is preserved.
In the color of the oak tabletop
Oak KR-026 for tinting supports natural wood. The shade is checked on a carved sample: recesses darken more, while protrusions reflect more light. The same tone on a flat board and a carved bracket may look different.
Two or three supports
A short console usually only needs a paired composition after a technical check. A long one may require a central support or a hidden load-bearing system. The quantity is determined by the designer, and the decorative symmetry is adjusted to the calculation.
Free space around the carving
The large KR-026 should not press against a side wall, leg, drawer, or adjacent facade. The ornament reads better when there is air around it. If the space disappears, switching to a smaller size looks more convincing than trying to 'hide' the detail in a dark color.
KR-026 for cabinet, sideboard, and furniture cornice
On case furniture, the bracket can be placed under a protruding top, on a side panel, near the central section, or under a decorative cornice. It does not have to bear the weight of the cornice: often it is a carved visual element, while the structural support is hidden inside the body.
Medium-width cabinet
The 210 and 250 mm options are usually easier to coordinate with furniture. 156 mm may get lost under a high cornice, 312 mm may overload the facade. The template should be applied to the finished cabinet drawing along with handles and panels.
Large sideboard
A 250 mm KR-026 can support the central part and connect the upper cornice with the doors. On a large sideboard, a pair or several elements are possible, but their rhythm must match the body sections.
Library
The 312 mm version can be used as an architectural accent on the end sections or near the central portal. Frequent repetition of a large size makes the furniture heavy. Sometimes it is better to combine a large pair with calmer decor on the remaining modules.
Cornice above the cabinet
The bracket should visually rest on the vertical part of the body. If it hangs in an empty field without connection to a post or section, the composition looks random. The layout is built from the structural axes of the furniture.
KR-026 for portal and boiserie
In a portal, the bracket is perceived as an architectural detail. A size of 250 or 312 mm can support the upper belt, frame a niche, or complete the side verticals. However, use near a fireplace zone requires separate verification of temperature, materials, and fire safety requirements.
Door portal
Paired supports are positioned symmetrically relative to the opening. Check the door swing, casing, switches, and passage height. The 250 mm size suits a moderate classical composition, while 312 mm is for tall and wide ones.
Decorative niche
Brackets can support the top shelf or cornice of a niche. Depth and side walls limit the projection. The template is considered not only from the front but also from the corner of the room.
Boiserie
KR-026 is linked to frames and vertical divisions of panels. Fasteners should not fall into voids or thin edges. If the panels are decorative, embedded elements are designed in advance.
Fireplace mantel
Use near fire cannot be promised without technical verification. Even if the bracket matches in style and size, the temperature, distance to the heat source, and base structure must meet design requirements.
Application in Different Rooms
Living room
KR-026 can support a shelf above a dresser, frame a portal, paneling, or a library section. The size is chosen based on the furniture and viewing distance. In a large living room, 250–312 mm look convincing; in a compact one, 156–210 mm are often more suitable.
Bedroom
A small bracket is appropriate under a decorative shelf, in a niche, or on a cabinet facade. A large ornament near the headboard may compete with textiles and lamps. Calm enamel on beech helps integrate the piece with the furniture.
Hallway
The bracket under a shelf or console should remain out of the walkway. Check bags, clothing, door opening, and mirror. For a narrow wall, 156 mm is considered first.
Cabinet
The oak KR-026 for tinting supports a library, table, and wall panels. Size 210 mm is suitable for a shelf, 250–312 mm for a portal and large cornice.
Kitchen and dining room
The bracket can be used under an open shelf, sideboard, exhaust portal, or furniture cornice. Conditions near steam, sink, and cooking area require a coordinated coating. Universal moisture resistance cannot be guaranteed.
Wardrobe
Repeating supports under upper shelves create rhythm. It is often better to use 156 or 210 mm to avoid overloading multiple sections. Fastening must account for the actual storage load.
Commercial space
In a hotel, restaurant, salon, or showroom, KR-026 can become a noticeable decorative element of a counter, portal, and shelves. Before a large batch, install one sample, check cleaning, passage height, and thread protection from impacts.
Oak or beech for KR-026
Oak for tinting
Oak is chosen when you need to preserve the natural texture and connect the bracket with an oak shelf, countertop, door, or panel. Tinting emphasizes the depth of the carving. On large sizes, the texture becomes especially noticeable.
Beech for enamel
Beech is suitable for white, colored, and dark opaque finishes. It helps make the bracket part of painted furniture without introducing additional wood texture. The surface is primed thinly to preserve small details.
Oak under dense enamel
This decision
One breed in the set
Brackets, shelf, moldings and adjacent decor are best matched by breed if the finish is transparent. Under enamel the difference is smaller, but primers and preparation remain different.
Before choosing, it is useful learn about preparing a wooden product and check current sanding and finishing rules.
'Standard' or 'Prestige'
For self-finishing
If the workshop plans additional sanding, priming and complex painting, you can consider "Standard". During incoming inspection, edges, recesses, ends and uniformity of the entire batch are checked.
For close-up view
"Prestige" is useful on furniture and consoles where carvings are viewed at arm's length. Detailed preparation is especially important under tinting and patina, which highlight every imperfection.
For large size
On KR-026 312 mm, the relief is more noticeable, so surface quality affects the result. But even manual preparation does not eliminate the need to treat attachment points and possible fresh ends.
Same level for a pair
Paired brackets must have the same preparation. Mixing "Standard" and "Prestige" can result in different absorbency and gloss after finishing.
Finishing KR-026 for enamel
Covering enamel helps unify a beech bracket with a furniture facade, wall panel, or shelf. The most common mistake is trying to achieve an even color with one thick coat. On threads, this approach closes small transitions and turns a three-dimensional ornament into a smoothed mass.
Surface preparation
The bracket is cleaned of dust and checked under side light. The primer is selected based on the wood and the finishing system. All compounds are first tested on a sample, especially if high gloss or a rich dark color is needed.
Thin layers
Paint is applied so that it does not accumulate in recesses. Between layers, the technology of the chosen system is followed. The article cannot specify a specific number of layers and drying time without the manufacturer's data.
White bracket
White color emphasizes the architectural form but does not hide unevenness. The shadow in the carving remains noticeable, and primer drips are especially visible on large versions 250 and 312 mm.
Color matching the facade
The same paint code does not guarantee a complete match on different substrates. Beech, MDF, and metal can give different gloss. A test coat is compared after complete drying in real lighting.
Toning of oak KR-026
The oak bracket is chosen for its visible wood structure. The toning should emphasize the relief but not make the recesses too dark. On a carved part, the color always appears richer than on a flat shelf.
Test on a relief sample
A flat board does not show how the compound will accumulate in the depth of the ornament. It is better to use a spare element or an agreed sample of the same wood species and sanding.
Match with the shelf
The bracket and shelf may be made of oak but have different grain patterns and directions. The goal is a harmonious shade and sheen, not an impossible complete match of every line.
Patination
Patina can enhance the depth of carving, but the specific technique must be confirmed by the finishing system. On a small size, excessive contrast makes the pattern look dirty; on a large one, it appears theatrically heavy.
Finishing before installation
It is convenient for accessing side areas and recesses. After installation, carefully finish the attachment points without leaving any differing spots.
Dry fitting before mounting
Before drilling and applying glue KR-026, hold it against the wall or furniture together with the shelf. Check the size, orientation, symmetry, distance to edges, and access to fasteners. For a pair, mark the elements as left and right, even if they are geometrically identical.
Checking the drawing
DWG shows actual installation zones and dimensions A–E. It is checked against the physical product. If parameters do not match or are unclear, installation is stopped until clarification.
Checking the shelf
The temporary shelf is installed at the design height. Horizontal level, overhang, thickness, and position of objects are evaluated. One bracket without an upper plane does not provide a complete picture.
Checking pair symmetry
Two templates must be at the same height and at equal distance from the center. Even a difference of a few millimeters is visible from the top lines and threads.
Checking the passage
In the hallway, near the door, and next to furniture, it is important to walk past the mockup, open the doors, and check bags or clothes. The side projection should not create an obstacle.
Installation on concrete and brick
A concrete or brick wall does not mean that any anchor is automatically suitable. The actual structure of the base, position of joints, design load, and bracket installation scheme must be known. Fasteners are selected by a specialist according to the project.
Marking holes
Points are transferred from a confirmed template. Drilling along the outer contour or 'approximately in the center' is not allowed. An error can damage the threads and disrupt the symmetry of the pair.
Base under finishing
Plaster, tile, panel, and paint add layers between the fastener and the load-bearing wall. Their thickness and strength are taken into account. The anchor should not work only in the decorative covering.
Concealing fasteners
The method depends on the design of KR-026 and DWG. Invisible fastening cannot be promised without a confirmed scheme. All plugs and finishing must preserve the pattern.
Installation on drywall
Drywall without an embedded element cannot be considered a universal base for a shelf on carved brackets. The load must be transferred to studs, an embedded element, or a separate load-bearing system. Decorative KR-026 can cover this assembly but not replace it.
Embedded plates
Their position is determined before wall cladding. The size and material are calculated for the shelf and fasteners. After finishing, embedded elements are located according to the project, not by random drilling.
Existing wall
If there are no embedded elements, the specialist assesses the possibility of fastening to profiles or installing an additional structure. Installation using only glue cannot be recommended.
Decorative function
The shelf can rest on a hidden system, and KR-026 can be glued or fixed separately as decor after the technology is confirmed. Then the load and decorative layout are separated.
Installation on furniture
Internal structure
Before drilling, check ties, drawers, guides, and panel thickness. The fastener should not enter the cavity, damage the facade, or interfere with the movement of mechanisms.
MDF under enamel
Holes are made carefully, protecting the coating from chips. If the bracket is installed after painting, the contact area and glue must be compatible with the finish.
Solid wood
The direction of the fibers and the distance to the edge are taken into account. Paired parts are placed on a stable plane. Tinting can be done before or after assembly according to the approved technology.
Glue only
It is not permissible to declare such a method sufficient for any task. Glue can fix a decorative element, but a load-bearing shelf requires a separately confirmed joint.
General recommendations can be checked in the section tips for installing carved elements.
Care for painted and tinted bracket
Dust in the relief
It is removed with a soft brush or dry attachment without strong pressure. On the large KR-026, the recesses are deeper and require more regular care.
Wet Cleaning
Permissibility is determined by the finish coating. Water is not left in the recesses, and aggressive agents are first tested on an inconspicuous area.
Impacts
The protruding thread is protected from furniture, doors, and passage. Damage to a large element is more noticeable, so the installation location is no less important than the coating.
Local Repair
Keep the paint code, tinting sample, and specification KR-026. A spare element simplifies replacement and helps to repeat the shade.
What to buy together with KR-026
The bracket rarely exists separately from the shelf, furniture panel, trim, and fasteners. For an accurate result, you need to assemble a kit according to one logic: size KR-026, wood species, sanding quality, shelf material, mounting system, and accompanying decor. Randomly buying several beautiful elements without a layout almost always leads to a scale conflict.
| What to add | Why | For which scenario | What to Check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Materials for installing wooden decor | Prepare glue, primer, and finishing system | Beech under enamel, oak under tinting, mounting on furniture or wall | Compatibility with wood, base, and finish |
| Other carved brackets | Find a different ornament or size range | KR-026 does not fit in scale or pattern | Dimensions, DWG, stone type and polishing |
| Bracket KR-020 | Compare another pattern and range up to 268 mm | Need the adjacent medium size range | Canonical address, exact dimensions and shape |
| Bracket KR-024 | View a larger range | KR-026 312 mm is not enough or need a different pattern | Dimensions 217–434 mm and overall composition scale |
| Compact KR-044 | Find a smaller decorative bracket | Even KR-026 156 mm is too large | Size 80 × 50 × 20 mm and fit for the task |
| Comparison of structural and decorative bracket | Separate visual and load-bearing tasks | The shelf must actually bear the load | Do not transfer characteristics of other models to KR-026 |
| Selection of decor for furniture composition | Check four sizes to scale | Portal, library, series of shelves, complex console | Transfer the sweep, DWG, shelf and base dimensions |
How not to confuse KR-026 with similar solutions
Decorative bracket and metal support
A metal bracket may have a confirmed load and standard mounting scheme, but does not solve the problem of carved wooden decor. KR-026 is chosen for its ornament and proportion. If the shelf must bear significant weight, the decorative and technical systems can be separated.
KR-026 and KR-020
KR-020 has a different ornament and size range. It should be considered when an intermediate scale or a different pattern is needed. You cannot choose only by the nearest height: compare all sizes and DWG.
KR-026 and KR-024
KR-024 offers larger options up to 434 mm. It suits a large-scale architectural composition when KR-026 312 mm is insufficient. But a larger size does not mean a greater confirmed load.
KR-026 and KR-044
KR-044 is significantly more compact and suits small furniture decor. If the minimum KR-026 156 mm overloads the shelf, it is better view compact bracket KR-044, rather than reducing KR-026 on your own.
Paired carved support and one central element
Two supports create stable symmetry, one creates a central accent. A single KR-026 should not automatically be used as the sole load-bearing point. Technical sufficiency is determined by calculation.
Practical choice for specific situations
Shelf for small decor above the cabinet
Compare 156 and 210 mm. The first option maintains lightness, the second makes the carving more noticeable. If heavy items will be on the shelf, not only the bracket size changes, but the entire mounting scheme.
Bookshelf in the study
First, check 210 mm, then 250 mm. Oak is suitable for tinting to match the library color. The number of supports is calculated based on the shelf, books, wall, and fasteners, not on a decorative step.
Console with pull-out drawer
The 250 mm size may look proportional, but you need to check the guides and the apron. The bracket should not block the internal mechanism. If space is insufficient, switch to 210 mm or change the design.
Large door portal
Compare 250 and 312 mm on the layout. The larger option becomes the main accent and requires free space. Paired elements are placed along the opening axis.
Narrow hallway
Start with 156 mm and be sure to make a side template. Even a small bracket can get in the way if the shelf is deep. Traffic safety is more important than the scale of the ornament.
Large library cornice
KR-026 312 mm is suitable for edge or center accents, but frequent repetition can overload the facade. The 250 mm option creates a calmer rhythm.
White enamel furniture
Choose beech and coordinate the primer with the facade system. The size is determined by the layout, not the color. White paint visually lightens the shape but does not reduce the physical dimension.
Oak shelf for tinting
Choose oak KR-026 and test on a carved sample. The shade in the recesses will be darker than on a flat shelf. Paired elements are distributed according to the texture before finishing.
Common Mistakes
Select only by height A
All dimensions A–E vary. For installation, you need to understand the projection, platforms, and shape according to the DWG.
Assign load by size
Large KR-026 does not necessarily support more. The permissible load is not confirmed.
Use universal pitch
The distance between supports depends on the shelf, wall, fasteners, and load. The rule "every 600 mm" is prohibited for the article.
Mounting on drywall without a backing plate
The sheet is not considered a universal load-bearing base. A confirmed structure is required.
Rely only on glue
Glue can hold the decor, but does not replace the calculation of the load-bearing shelf.
Do not check the fastener kit
It is not confirmed. Anchors and screws are selected based on the base and drawing.
Consider all four sizes completely interchangeable
When changing size, all parameters and visual scale change. The installation layout is checked again.
Do not make a 1:1 template
Large carving appears smaller in the photo. The template prevents purchasing an excessive size.
Install the bracket near the fire source
Use near a fireplace requires separate temperature and fire safety checks.
Filling the relief with paint
A thick layer hides the pattern. The finish is checked on a sample.

FAQ: questions about the wooden bracket KR-026
What dimensions does KR-026 have?
Four variants for parameter A are confirmed: 156, 210, 250, and 312 mm. Each size also has its own values for B, C, D, and E.
How do the four variants differ from each other?
Not only the height changes, but also all dimensions according to the drawing, visual scale, offset, and position in the composition. They cannot be considered fully interchangeable.
Which KR-026 should I choose for a small shelf?
First, check 156 mm, then 210 mm. The final choice depends on the shelf depth, wall, fasteners, and load.
Will the 210 mm size fit a bookshelf?
Visually — often yes. Technically, the book load requires a separate calculation of the entire system.
What is the purpose of choosing KR-026 in 250 mm size?
For a large furniture console, deep decorative shelf, portal, and cornice composition.
Won't the size of 312 mm be too large?
On a small wall — it may. It is always checked with a 1:1 template together with the shelf and adjacent furniture.
How to match the bracket with the shelf depth?
First, decode parameters A–E from the DWG, then compare the actual overhang with the shelf. There is no universal proportion.
How many brackets are needed for one shelf?
The quantity depends on the length, material, thickness, and load of the shelf, wall, fasteners, and anchors. A universal number is not assigned.
What spacing should be left between supports?
The spacing is determined by calculation and architectural layout. A fixed rule for KR-026 is not confirmed.
What wood is KR-026 made from?
in beech or oak.
What to choose — oak or beech?
Oak — for tinting and visible wood grain, beech — for covering enamel.
How does "Standard" differ from "Prestige"?
These are two levels of sanding. The exact current differences should be checked in the STAVROS information before ordering.
Can the bracket be painted white?
Yes, beech under enamel is especially logical. Primer and paint are selected according to the wood and furniture system.
Can it be tinted together with the oak shelf?
Yes, if oak is chosen. First, a test coat is done on a carved sample because the relief looks darker than a flat surface.
How is KR-026 attached to the wall?
The scheme is checked against the DWG. Anchors and installation method depend on the wall, load, and number of supports.
Is it suitable for drywall?
Only if there is a calculated embedded part, attachment to profiles, or another confirmed load-bearing system.
What load does the bracket support?
The confirmed allowable load is not specified. It cannot be promised without a structural calculation.
Is the mounting hardware included in the kit?
Completeness is not confirmed. It is checked in the card, and the fasteners are selected based on the base.
Can KR-026 be mounted only with glue?
Glue cannot be considered a universal load-bearing fastener. It can be used for decoration according to a confirmed technology.
Where can I download the drawing?
DWG is presented in the KR-026 card. It should be used before making the template and marking the holes.
Where can I buy KR-026?
In the card, you can Buy wooden bracket KR-026 in one of four sizes.
What to do if the minimum size is too large?
You can compare KR-044 with the minimum KR-026 and choose a more compact decor.
What to choose if you need a size larger than 312 mm?
Beneficial compare size ranges of KR-024 and KR-026.
Result: size is chosen based on shelf, wall, and function, not by photo
KR-026 offers a rare opportunity to keep one carved ornament in four scales. Size 156 mm suits a compact composition, 210 mm — medium furniture and wall tasks, 250 mm — a large console and portal, 312 mm — an architectural accent.
The main check is done before purchase: DWG, 1:1 template, shelf depth and thickness, number of supports, wall material, anchors, fasteners, and calculated load. Decorative appearance does not replace the technical scheme, and a large size does not automatically mean greater load-bearing capacity.
After choosing the scale, it remains to decide on oak or beech, "Standard" or "Prestige", finish and kit. STAVROS allows you to open one card, compare four sizes and order KR-026 without changing the ornament — from a small carved support to a large architectural pair.
