Four legs are in the cart, next to them the selected FUR-012 kit, and the buyer naturally asks: does one item cover the whole table or should four be ordered? The answer must be received before payment, because the word "kit" here refers to the composition of one product unit, not a full set of fasteners for a piece of furniture. One unit of FUR-012 includes one round mounting plate with a diameter of 37 mm with M8 thread and one M8 × 60 stud screw. If each leg is attached through this bracket, each support requires a separate unit of FUR-012.

In other words, a table with four legs requires four such kits, a cabinet with four supports also requires four, and a bed with corner and central legs requires as many units as its supports are actually connected to the frame through the round FUR-012 plate. Counting by the number of furniture pieces is not possible. Counting must be done by the number of specific legs and according to the approved attachment scheme for each of them.

Before buy the FUR-012 kit for attaching a leg, it is necessary to check three more things. First, whether the wooden support itself is designed for the M8 stud. Second, whether there is a flat, sturdy area on the body or tabletop where the Ø37 mm plate fits completely. Third, what fasteners will attach the plate to the base: the plate and stud are confirmed in the card, but the allowable load, minimum panel thickness, number of screws, their size, and minimum edge distance are not specified.

That is why FUR-012 cannot be bought as a nameless "fastener for any table." It is a specific upper bracket for a furniture leg. It is convenient when the dimensions, base material, plate position, and support thread match the project. The article will help calculate the quantity without shortages, read the ambiguous entry 60 × 13 × 13 mm, distinguish FUR-012 from FUR-001, and assemble a cart where the upper bracket, legs, and lower glides are not mixed up.

One product unit of FUR-012 is the attachment for one leg

The most expensive mistake occurs not during drilling, but earlier — when one item is placed in the cart, assuming that the word "kit" means a set for four supports. FUR-012 does not contain four plates and four studs. There is one plate and one stud. Therefore, the working formula is simple:

Quantity of FUR-012 = number of legs attached via FUR-012.

The formula seems obvious only after the composition is broken down into details. In a real order, the buyer sees the name "set" and may consider it a set for a table, bed, or nightstand. The card, meanwhile, shows the price per single item. Therefore, the quantity line should repeat the number of required fastening points.

For furniture with four identical legs, the calculation usually looks like this:

4 legs × 1 FUR-012 each = 4 units of FUR-012.

For a three-legged table:

3 legs × 1 FUR-012 = 3 units.

For a console with six legs:

6 legs × 1 FUR-012 = 6 units.

But even such arithmetic does not eliminate the need to check the project. Sometimes corner legs use FUR-012, while a hidden central support is attached differently. Then the number of FUR-012 units is less than the total number of supports. The opposite situation also happens: one bed has four outer legs and two inner ones, and all six have the same threaded joint. Then ordering four sets will be incomplete.

What is confirmed in one unit of goods

Parameter Confirmed value Practical Meaning
Article number FUR-012 The specification must indicate the exact article number
Product type Furniture leg mounting kit This is the upper joint between the leg and the furniture structure
Mounting part Round metal plate One plate is intended for one mounting point
Plate diameter Ø37 mm The base needs a flat area where the circle fits completely
Plate thread M8 The leg and stud must match this threaded joint
Second part Metric stud/self-tapping screw One stud is included in one product unit
Stud size M8 × 60 Nominal thread diameter is 8 mm, length is 60 mm
Tabular product size 60 × 13 × 13 mm Does not show the outer diameter of the plate and requires reading together with the description
Price Indicated per 1 pcs of product For four legs, the cost of FUR-012 is multiplied by four
Thrust bearing Not confirmed in the composition Bottom protection for the leg and floor is ordered separately
Screws for the plate Not confirmed in composition and parameters Their type and quantity are determined by the base and the project
Permissible load Not specified You cannot invent the load capacity of the assembly
Minimum base thickness Not specified Compatibility must be confirmed by a craftsman or designer
Minimum edge distance Not specified The plate position cannot be assigned a universal number

After such decoding, the card reads differently. FUR-012 is not a ready-made strength guarantee or a box of fasteners for the entire item. It is two coordinated parts for one connection: the plate creates a threaded point on the furniture, the stud connects it to the leg. Everything else—the base material, plate screws, stud seating in the support, allowable load, and distances—pertains to the specific structure.

Why the word "set" does not mean a kit for the entire table

In furniture trade, the word "set" can refer to different things. It can be a set for one connection, a set for one door, a set for one support, or a set for the entire item. The meaning can only be determined by the composition.

For FUR-012, the composition is single: one round plate and one pin. This means the product solves the task of one top mounting. If a table has four legs and all are installed the same way, four identical units will be required. If a bed has six legs, but the central supports are attached differently, the quantity of FUR-012 corresponds only to those legs that actually use the Ø37 mm plate.

It is useful for the buyer to replace the vague phrase "fastener set" in their mind with a precise one: a set for attaching one furniture leg. After that, confusion about quantity disappears.

Three questions that quickly reveal the package contents

Before adding any furniture hardware to the cart, ask yourself three questions:

  1. How many identical parts are physically in one product unit?

  2. Which single furniture joint does this unit serve?

  3. How many such joints are there in my project?

For FUR-012, the answers look like this:

  1. One plate and one pin.

  2. One top leg mount.

  3. As many legs as will be attached through this node.

This logic is more reliable than guessing by name. It works equally well for a table, bed, dresser, nightstand, console, bench, and other furniture.

Size 60 × 13 × 13 mm: why it cannot be taken as the full dimension of the node

In table FUR-012, the dimension line 60 × 13 × 13 mm is specified. At the same time, the description states that the mounting plate has a diameter of 37 mm, M8 thread, and the stud is M8 × 60. If you read only the table, a natural confusion arises: how can a round plate Ø37 mm fit into a dimension of 13 × 13 mm?

The answer should not be invented. The entry 60 × 13 × 13 mm cannot be used as the full external size of the assembled node. From the confirmed data, the following is clearly read:

  • 60 mm is the length of the stud;

  • M8 is the nominal thread diameter;

  • Ø37 mm is the outer diameter of the round mounting plate;

  • the purpose of the two 13 mm values must be verified against the technical drawing or clarified before production marking.

In practice, for ordering, it is more important not to argue about the origin of each number, but to correctly use the confirmed dimensions. For the plate, space must be provided based on the actual diameter of 37 mm. For the stud, check the M8 thread fit and the 60 mm length. The table row cannot be transferred to the base as a 13 × 13 mm rectangle.

What dimensions the buyer needs, and what the craftsman needs

For the buyer to calculate the quantity, it is enough to know the composition of one unit. To check compatibility, three levels of dimensions are needed.

Level 1 — visible size of the plate. The Ø37 mm circle must fit entirely on a flat mounting surface. It cannot be placed partially on an edge, recess, or joint.

Level 2 — thread size. M8 must match the fit in the leg and the thread of the plate.

Level 3 — stud length. The 60 mm is distributed between the leg and the upper assembly according to the design. You cannot simply assume that the entire length goes into one part.

The craftsman additionally needs a drawing, the depth of the pilot hole, the type of leg material, the position of the plate, and the parameters for attaching the plate itself to the base. This information is not replaced by the general product card.

Why Ø37 mm is more important for layout than the two 13 mm values

The mounting plate contacts the furniture structure with its entire area. It is its outer contour that determines whether the fastener will fit:

  • on the underside of the tabletop;

  • on the corner block of the cabinet;

  • on the apron or inner frame;

  • on the bed base;

  • next to the guide fasteners;

  • between the edge and the decorative profile.

If the free area is less than 37 mm or the circle crosses a weak zone, FUR-012 cannot be assigned just because the M8 stud fits the leg.

How many FUR-012 to put in the cart

The calculation starts with the list of supports. You cannot take the quantity "by furniture type" without checking: tables can have three, four, six, or more legs; beds — with four corner and several central ones; wide dressers sometimes get hidden supports; consoles may have two external and an additional wall mount.

Construction Number of legs using FUR-012 How many units of FUR-012 to order What to check
Small table on three legs 3 3 Is the joint the same for all three legs
Regular table on four legs 4 4 Space for four plates Ø37 mm
Dining table on four legs 4 4 Tabletop material, apron, and load
Coffee table on four legs 4 4 Thickness of the lower platform and offsets from the edge
Cabinet on four legs 4 4 Guides, bottom plate, and corner blocks
Dresser on four legs 4 4 Is a separate hidden support with a different mounting needed
Console on six legs 6 6 Is part of the supports used as decorative
Bed with four corner legs 4 4 Are the side rails and corner brackets compatible with the plate
Bed with four corner and two central supports From 4 to 6 According to the actual scheme Are the central legs attached via FUR-012
Bench on four legs 4 4 Do the upholstery staples and inner frame interfere
Set of two identical cabinets 8 8 Add technological reserve by production decision

The table does not turn FUR-012 into a universal fastener for the listed furniture. It only shows the principle of quantity. Compatibility of each node is confirmed separately.

Formula for one item

N(FUR-012) = N(legs with this type of mounting).

Where N is the quantity in pieces.

Example: a dresser has four visible wooden legs, each attached via a round plate. In the center, an adjustable hidden support of another type is provided.

N(FUR-012) = 4, not 5.

Example: a bed has four outer legs and two central wooden supports with the same M8 fit and the same plates.

N(FUR-012) = 6.

Example: a console has six decorative legs, but the two middle ones do not touch the floor and are not supports. Such a scheme itself requires review: decorative parts cannot be automatically considered fastening nodes. The quantity is determined by the drawing, not by the external number of legs.

Formula for the furniture series

For a batch of identical items:

Total quantity of FUR-012 = number of items × number of legs with FUR-012 on one item.

Ten cabinets on four identical supports:

10 × 4 = 40 units of FUR-012.

If production includes a reserve for defects, testing, or maintenance, the reserve is documented as a separate line. You cannot arbitrarily add a percentage and present it as a mandatory standard.

A table on four legs: why four sets are still not enough for a finished order

The buyer correctly counted four FUR-012. Does this mean the table can be assembled? No. The quantity only covers the number of top nodes. Compatibility of legs, base, plate fastening, geometry, and bottom floor protection remain.

For the table, you need to check:

  • whether each leg has a seat for an M8 stud;

  • Is the upper part of the support massive enough?

  • Is a straight, rather than inclined, installation provided?

  • Does the Ø37 mm plate fit in each mounting zone?

  • Does the circle not intersect the apron, cutout, or joint?

  • What is the tabletop or underframe made of?

  • What screws are used to attach the plate?

  • Is the fastener not too close to the edge?

  • How is the load transferred between the tabletop, frame, and leg?

  • Are floor glides needed at the bottom?

FUR-012 connects the leg to the structure, but it does not create an underframe or automatically reinforce a thin tabletop. If a heavy slab has no frame, four small pads may not be the node required by the project. The permissible scheme must be confirmed by a designer.

The tabletop and the underframe are not the same base.

In image FUR-012, it may appear as a fastening of the "leg to the tabletop." In a real table, the plate is sometimes placed directly on the lower plane of the slab, sometimes on a corner block or the underframe frame. These are different structures.

Direct mounting to the tabletop requires sufficient thickness and strength of the material. Mounting to the frame requires a flat area and coordination with the crossbars. One method cannot be transferred to another without verification.

Why four identical plates need to be marked out as a system

If each plate is placed "approximately in the corner," the legs may get different offsets, and the table may get a skewed support contour. The marking is built from common axes and edges. Not only the center of the M8 hole is checked, but also the full circle of Ø37 mm.

Before drilling, it is useful to make a template of a circle with a diameter of 37 mm and apply it to the drawing of the underside of the tabletop. Such a mock-up shows conflicts with the crossbar, fastening screws, grooves, and edges.

Bed: four corner legs do not always mean four FUR-012

For a bed, the number of supports is especially easy to count incorrectly. The buyer sees four corners and orders four sets, not noticing the central beam and inner legs. Or, conversely, sees six supports and buys six FUR-012, although the two central ones have an adjustable plastic unit and do not use the round plate.

The correct order is as follows:

  1. Draw all points of contact of the bed with the floor.

  2. Divide the supports by type of attachment to the frame.

  3. Count only those where FUR-012 is applied.

  4. Check each mounting platform.

Corner legs

At the corners, the side rails and end elements converge. The Ø37 mm plate must not fall onto the joint in such a way that its fasteners spread across different weak zones. If the joint has a massive corner block, the location may be more convenient. But this is determined by the bed drawing.

Central supports

Their number depends on the length, width, mattress base, and internal beam. FUR-012 can only be used when the central leg has a suitable M8 stud and the beam has a platform for the plate. This joint cannot be recommended for every bed based solely on the word "central support."

Upholstered bed

On the underside, there may be fabric, staples, foam, wooden slats, and upholstery fasteners. The round plate must rest on a rigid base, not on a soft layer. The composition of one FUR-012 unit does not include preparation of such a platform.

Nightstand and dresser: not only the bottom but also the internal hardware must be checked

For a nightstand or dresser, the legs are located near the side walls, fronts, and drawer slides. From below in a photo, everything may look clear, but inside there are fastening screws, slides, partitions, or reinforcements.

Before ordering four FUR-012 units, place on one drawing:

  • bottom plate contour;

  • side panel thickness;

  • guide position;

  • partition attachment zones;

  • leg centers;

  • circles Ø37 mm;

  • holes for plate fasteners;

  • offsets from edges;

  • possible central support.

Such a drawing helps to see that four legs do not always provide four identical free areas. The rear left zone may intersect with the wall attachment, the front one with the bottom drawer mechanism. In this case, the design changes, not just the position of the plate "by eye".

Wide dresser and hidden support

If a long body requires intermediate support, its type is determined first. Additional support may use FUR-012, or it may have a different node. Therefore, the formula looks like this:

Quantity of FUR-012 = 4 corner nodes + the number of internal supports that are actually attached via FUR-012.

You cannot automatically order five sets just because the dresser is wide. And you cannot limit yourself to four if the project shows two internal legs with the same mounting.

Will the Ø37 mm plate fit: checking the area before payment

The M8 thread may match the leg, but FUR-012 still won't fit if the round plate does not sit on the base. For a preliminary check, cut out a paper circle with a diameter of 37 mm and apply it to each mounting zone.

The plate must not:

  • protrude beyond the edge of the part;

  • overlap a cutout or groove;

  • lie on a height difference;

  • cross the joint of two elements without a design solution;

  • fall on a decorative profile;

  • overlap upholstery staples;

  • be located on a weak hollow part;

  • interfere with a guide or another mechanism;

  • block access to an adjacent fastener;

  • press against the apron so that it cannot be secured.

The phrase "a platform with a diameter of more than 37 mm is needed" does not mean that a circle of exactly 38 mm is sufficient. In addition to the plate itself, space is required for its fastening and tool operation. The minimum safe margin depends on the scheme and is not specified in the card, so it is determined by the craftsman.

The round shape does not make the fastening self-aligning

The plate can rotate during marking, but after fixation, its threaded center must be exactly on the leg axis. Displacement creates misalignment, especially on high supports. For four legs, the same error can produce different tilt directions.

The platform must be sturdy, not just level.

A smooth surface on a thin decorative panel does not mean it bears load. The plate transfers forces through the fasteners to the base. If there is a weak slab, void, or edge underneath, the connection may be incorrect regardless of metal quality.

Will FUR-012 fit a specific wooden leg?

The presence of wood and a straight leg shape does not guarantee compatibility. To choose, you need to check the top end of the leg, the axis, the thread, and the installation direction.

For a buyer who has not yet chosen supports, it is more convenient to first buy wooden legs for furniture by size and purpose, and then open the recommendations of the specific card. The catalog includes carved, turned, and geometric models; they differ in top platforms and allowable connection schemes.

Seat for M8 stud

FUR-012 uses an M8 × 60 stud. The leg must have or allow a prepared seat for the self-tapping part of the stud. You cannot simply screw it into any thin end.

Top part size

Even if the stud fits, the top part of the leg must provide sufficient material thickness around the hole. Specific minimum values depend on the wood species, shape, and construction and are not provided for FUR-012.

Leg axis

For direct installation, the thread center and support axis must align according to the design. If the leg is to be installed at an angle, the round straight plate FUR-012 may not be the right solution: for inclined assemblies, separate plates exist.

Material and condition

A crack, gluing in an unsuitable place, an old hole, or an edge that is too close can weaken the stud fit. The check is performed before finishing and installation.

Finished and unpainted legs

For a project with custom enamel or tinting, you can order unpainted legs made of oak or beech, but the finish does not change the mounting requirements. The mounting hole is protected from contamination by finishing materials, and final compatibility is confirmed according to the selected model's card.

FUR-012 or FUR-001: two different ways to create a threaded connection

Both items use an M8 × 60 stud and both are related to furniture leg mounting. That is where the similarity ends. Substituting one set for another without checking the base is not allowed.

FUR-012 includes a stud and a separate round mounting plate Ø37 mm. The plate is fixed to the furniture structure, after which the metric part of the stud connects to its M8 thread.

FUR-001 includes an M8 × 60 stud and a metal insert M8 × 13. The insert is installed directly into the prepared hole in the base. There is no separate round plate in this assembly.

Criterion FUR-012 FUR-001
Contents of one product unit Plate Ø37 mm + stud M8 × 60 Insert M8 × 13 + stud M8 × 60
Mating threaded part On the separate round plate Inside the installed insert
Platform requirement Space is needed for the Ø37 mm plate and its fastening Need suitable thickness and material for installing the insert
Node view Metal mounting plate on the base Compact threaded insert in the material
Quantity for four legs 4 units for four identical nodes 4 units for four identical nodes
Main check Circle placement, plate fastening, base material Hole diameter and depth, insert retention
Can you choose by price No No

If the base has a sufficiently wide flat surface, a round plate may be convenient. If the project is designed for a threaded insert in a massive part, the designer can choose an insert. The decision depends not on which set looks simpler in the photo, but on the material and geometry of the furniture.

For comparing a specific alternative, you can buy FUR-001 kit with stud and threaded insert after checking the mounting hole. The article does not turn this comparison into a universal rating: FUR-012 is not "better" than FUR-001 and not "weaker" without design data.

When the difference is especially important

On a thick solid wood part, it may be convenient to prepare a seat for a threaded insert. On a frame with a flat mounting surface, a plate may be considered. On a thin slab, no solution should be assigned automatically. For upholstered furniture, the upholstery and inner frame must be considered. For a bed, the side rails and corner blocks. For a table, the tabletop and underframe.

Why you cannot buy FUR-001 as a spare part for FUR-012 without clarification

The studs in the kits have the same designation M8 × 60, but the mating parts differ. A threaded insert does not replace a plate in an already marked assembly, and a plate is not installed instead of a threaded insert without new fasteners and space. Spares are chosen for the approved design, not just for the thread.

Separate M8 × 60 stud: when it is needed and when it does not replace the kit

In the catalog you can buy M8×60 stud separately. Such an item is useful if the project needs a spare stud, if the mating part is already installed, or if production assembles components separately.

But a separate stud does not turn into FUR-012. Without the round plate, it has no confirmed mating threaded part on the body. Similarly, one plate without a stud does not create a complete connection with the leg.

When calculating the basket, separate three scenarios:

  1. New node FUR-012. Need a product unit with a plate and a stud.

  2. Replacement of a damaged stud in an existing node. A separate FUR-001-1 can be considered after checking the thread and the condition of the plate.

  3. Production assembly with separate items. The composition is approved by the technologist, and the quantity of each part is counted separately.

Buying four FUR-012 and four more studs "just in case" is not necessary. The reserve is agreed with production. For single-piece furniture, an exact set and one proven scheme are sufficient.

Screws for a round plate: what the card does not promise

The plate must be fixed to the base, but the FUR-012 description does not specify a universal brand, length, and number of screws for this operation. Random values cannot be inserted into the article and turned into a manufacturer's recommendation.

The choice depends on:

  • base material;

  • its thickness;

  • the presence of a facing layer;

  • load directions;

  • number of holes in the plate;

  • positions relative to the edge;

  • need for disassembly;

  • furniture operating conditions.

The craftsman must select fasteners that pass through the plate holes, do not protrude from the front side, are held in the material, and do not split it. For solid wood and plywood, some solutions may be used; for MDF and laminated chipboard, others. This does not mean that any board is automatically suitable.

Why you cannot take the longest screws

Long fasteners can pass through the tabletop or the bottom plate. On painted furniture, the result will be damage to the front surface. On a cabinet, the screw may come out inside the drawer.

Why you cannot take the shortest ones

Too short fasteners have a small working depth and may not provide the required holding. The specific length is determined by the thickness and material of the base.

Why the number of holes in the plate is not a ready-made instruction

Even if several holes are visible on the plate, the card does not establish a universal scheme for their use. The decision depends on the calculation of the assembly. You cannot independently declare the use of all holes or only part of them as mandatory.

The base material changes the mounting task

FUR-012 is manufactured as a metal fastening kit, but it does not work on its own. Its plate connects to a furniture part, and it is the properties of that part that determine how the assembly will be held.

Solid wood

For solid wood, you need to consider the direction of the fibers, the distance to the edge, possible cracks, and moisture changes. A wide flat area looks convincing, but drilling near the end may require additional reinforcement.

Plywood

Plywood has a layered structure and is often used in frames and bases. The thickness, quality of layers, and direction of fasteners must match the project. You cannot assign a minimum thickness based on the FUR-012 card — such a number does not exist.

MDF (740–760 kg/m³, emission class E1/E0) provides ideal geometry, uniformity, and better base for enamel: high adhesion, smooth surface, absence of knots and cracks.

The uniformity of MDF is convenient for processing, but the holding of fasteners depends on density, thickness, and load direction. The plate cannot be placed on the edge of a thin part without calculation.

Laminated chipboard

For laminated board, the structure of the core, the distance to the edge, and the condition of the holes are important. Re-screwing into a destroyed seat does not automatically restore the material.

Furniture panel

The panel consists of glued lamellas. The position of the plate relative to the joints, the thickness, and the quality of the part are checked before drilling.

Metal frame

FUR-012 is described as a kit with a plate for furniture construction, but the method of fixation to metal cannot be derived from recommendations for wood materials. A separate joint design will be needed.

Load: why the article does not promise "it withstands so many kilograms"

The buyer wants to see a single number, but the FUR-012 card does not confirm the permissible load. Even if the strength of an individual metal part were specified, the result would depend on the base, plate fastening, pin depth in the leg, support height, leg arrangement, and the nature of the impact.

The table receives not only the vertical weight of the tabletop. People lean on it, move it, and the legs experience lateral forces. The bed perceives dynamic load. The nightstand may be moved without unloading. A tall leg creates a larger lever at the top joint than a short one.

Therefore, the article honestly separates two questions:

  • how many units of FUR-012 to order — can be determined by the number of legs with this joint;

  • whether FUR-012 is suitable in strength for specific furniture — is decided by drawing and calculation.

The second question cannot be replaced by the first. Four correctly counted kits may turn out to be unsuitable for a weak structure.

FUR-012 attaches the top of the leg but does not protect it from below

A furniture support has two different nodes. The upper one connects the leg to the body. The lower one contacts the floor. FUR-012 solves only the upper task.

The floor protector is not confirmed as part of the kit. If the furniture must protect parquet, tile, laminate, or another floor, the lower elements are selected separately.

Round FUR-021

You can buy round glide FUR-021 for a suitable leg and floor after checking the diameter of the lower platform and the method of attachment. It cannot be added automatically to any support just because of its round shape.

Felt FUR-027

For delicate contact with the floor covering, you can buy felt floor protectors FUR-027. Felt helps reduce the risk of scratches during careful movement, but requires monitoring of dirt and wear.

Number of lower floor protectors

Usually it equals the number of legs on which the floor protectors are provided:

Number of glides = number of bottom ends being equipped.

For four legs — four. For six — six. If the central support has its own adjustable element, it does not need to be equipped with FUR-021 or FUR-027 just to match the count.

Top and bottom cannot be mixed in the same line.

FUR-012, glide, and leg are three different items. A complete set for one support may look like this:

  • 1 wooden leg;

  • 1 FUR-012;

  • 1 suitable glide;

  • plate fasteners per project;

  • finishing materials if the leg is unpainted.

For four identical supports, multiply each of the first three items by four.

What to buy together with FUR-012

The bracket must reflect the entire load path: body — top fastener — leg — bottom floor protection. A separate plate without a suitable support is as useless as a beautiful leg without a mounting assembly.

What to add Quantity Why What to check before buying
Wooden furniture legs As per project Create the support contour of the furniture M8 fit, top platform, height, and material
FUR-012 One for each leg with this assembly Connects the leg to the furniture structure Plate Ø37 mm and mounting location
Screws for plates As per project Secure the plates to the base Material, thickness, length, and no external protrusion
FUR-021 One for each suitable leg Creates a rigid contact point with the floor Bottom end and floor covering
FUR-027 One for each suitable leg Softens contact with delicate flooring Diameter, thickness, and wear of the felt
FUR-001-1 As needed Spare or separate M8 × 60 stud Existing mating component
Finishing materials According to technology Prepare unpainted legs Compatibility of primer, enamel, tint, and finish
Spare parts At the manufacturer's discretion Used for series or repair Do not create random surplus
Delivery One service per order Allows getting the entire set together Composition, address, deadlines, and packaging

Fasteners, plates, and support feet can be selected in the section where the option is collected Buy hardware for furniture legs. For a broader project — handles, legs, mounting compounds, and other components — it is convenient to choose and buy furniture fittings, without mixing parts with different purposes in one line.

Table, bed, or nightstand: one article, different risks

FUR-012 retains its composition, but the furniture around it changes. Therefore, the quantity is counted the same, but compatibility is checked differently.

Dining table

The main risks are a heavy tabletop, lateral loads, and moving furniture by its edge. The plate must work with the underframe or a calculated tabletop zone. Four sets do not prove that the structure is stable.

Coffee table

A lower load does not always mean simplicity. A thin tabletop may not have enough material for fasteners, and legs may be placed close to the edge. The Ø37 mm circle needs to be added to the drawing.

Desk

Under the tabletop there are drawers, cable trays, and aprons. The plate may intersect with them. The check is performed before ordering the hardware.

Cabinet

Inside there are guides and facade fasteners. The top pin of the leg must not extend into the working area of the mechanism.

Chest of drawers

A wide cabinet may have central support. The quantity of FUR-012 is determined not by four visible corners, but by all supports.

Purchasing for furniture production: count according to the specification, not from memory.

In a series of identical products, one missing unit stops assembly. For production, a list is useful in which FUR-012 is linked to a specific leg and item.

Example for a batch of 25 tables with four supports:

  • legs — 25 × 4 = 100 pcs.;

  • FUR-012 — 25 × 4 = 100 pcs.;

  • thrust bearings — 25 × 4 = 100 pcs.;

  • plate fastening — according to the approved assembly map;

  • technological reserve — as a separate line according to the production standard.

Do not mix the reserve with the mandatory quantity. The buyer must see how many parts will go into finished products and how many will remain for adjustment, testing, or repair.

Marking of kits

For a series, it is convenient to group parts by product or batch. The plate and stud of one trade unit should not get lost in different containers. During incoming inspection, the quantity of both elements is checked.

Trial assembly before the main order

Even with clear threads, it is useful to assemble one complete unit on a sample base and one leg. Such a check shows tool access, plate position, actual stud length, and the effect of finishing. Trial assembly does not replace calculation, but it detects errors before the batch.

Order cost formula FUR-012

There is no need to specify a fixed price in the article: it changes, and what matters to the buyer is the estimate structure. The current amount can be checked by opening the link find out the current price of FUR-012.

Formula for furniture on N identical legs:

N × current price of FUR-012

+ N × price of furniture leg

+ plate fasteners as per project

+ N × price of the selected foot cap

+ finishing materials

+ delivery

= cost of the set of support units.

If some of the legs are attached via FUR-001, the calculation is divided by type:

N1 × FUR-012 + N2 × FUR-001, where N1 and N2 correspond to the actual number of nodes of each type.

The price of one unit of FUR-012 is not equal to the cost of attaching the entire table. For four identical supports, it is multiplied by four.

Ready specification for a table with four legs

Below is an example of an order structure, not a universal installation permit:

Furniture legs — 4 pcs.

  • model and height: per project;

  • material: per the selected leg's card;

  • top mounting: compatible with M8 × 60 stud;

  • direction: direct installation;

  • finish: agreed.

Set FUR-012 — 4 pcs.

  • one plate Ø37 mm and one stud M8 × 60 in each unit;

  • mounting platforms: 4 pcs.;

  • thread: M8;

  • location: according to the underframe drawing.

Plate fastening — per project.

  • base material: specified;

  • thickness: specified;

  • screw length: confirmed by the master;

  • Exit to the front side is excluded.

Glides — 4 pcs.

  • model: along the bottom edge of the leg and the floor;

  • thickness is included in the final height.

Such a specification is easier to verify than a line like “table fastening kit — 1 pc.”

Ready specification for a bed with central supports

Suppose the bed has four external wooden legs with FUR-012 and two internal adjustable supports of a different type.

Order:

  • external legs — 4 pcs.;

  • FUR-012 — 4 pcs.;

  • internal supports — 2 pcs. as a separate item;

  • fastening of internal supports — according to their system;

  • foot pads for external legs — 4 pcs. if necessary;

  • fastening of plates — at the corner blocks of the bed.

If all six wooden legs use FUR-012, the quantity changes to six. The furniture name does not give a ready number — the diagram does.

Errors due to which the order lacks fasteners

Mistake 1. Buying one "set" for the whole table

One unit contains one plate and one pin.

Fix: multiply by the number of legs with FUR-012.

Mistake 2. Counting only visible bed legs

Central supports remain without fastening.

Fix: mark all support points on the plan.

Mistake 3. Ordering FUR-012 for every support, although some are attached differently

This creates unnecessary surplus.

Fix: divide legs by node types.

Mistake 4. Reading 60 × 13 × 13 mm as the size of a round plate

The base area marked is too small.

Fix: use the confirmed diameter Ø37 mm.

Error 5. Calling 13 mm the plate diameter

This contradicts the description.

Fix: clarify the assignment of two 13 mm values according to the drawing.

Error 6. Considering M8 as the stud length

M8 denotes the thread, the length is 60 mm.

Fix: separate diameter and length.

Error 7. Buying FUR-012 without checking the leg

The stud may not fit the top end.

Fix: verify the recommendations of the support card.

Error 8. Placing the plate on a platform smaller than 37 mm

Metal protrudes or fasteners approach the edge.

Fix: full-size circle on the drawing.

Error 9. Placing the plate on a joint

Fasteners fall into different elements and weak zones.

Fix: connect the node to a solid structural part.

Error 10. Not accounting for plate holes

The circle fits, but there is no room for the tool and screws.

Fix: check the full mounting contour.

Error 11. Using random screws

They can be short, long, or unsuitable for the material.

Fix: the fastener is approved by the master.

Error 12. Making up an allowable load

The card does not provide a universal number.

Fix: calculate the structure separately from the quantity.

Error 13. Attaching the plate to a thin decorative panel

The panel may not be load-bearing.

Fix: find the structural element of the cabinet.

Error 14. Forgetting the drawer guides

The pin or screws conflict with the mechanism.

Fix: align the bottom view with the internal view.

Error 15. Install FUR-012 on the angled leg

The straight plate does not create the required angle.

Fix: select a specially designed angled joint.

Error 16. Confusing FUR-012 and FUR-001

A bushing arrives at the object instead of a plate.

Fix: specify the article number and composition in the specification.

Error 17. Buying a separate pin instead of the full FUR-012

There is no mating threaded part.

Fix: check if the plate is installed in advance.

Error 18. Consider the foot pad as part of the top set.

Bottom floor protection is missing.

Fix: a separate line for each leg.

Error 19. Select different foot pads for identical legs.

The height and friction of the supports change.

Fix: a single type for one group.

Error 20. Do not take into account the thickness of the foot pad.

The table or cabinet becomes higher than the calculated mark.

Fix: include the bottom element in the overall size.

Error 21. Order four sets for a dresser with six legs

Hidden legs remain without nodes.

Fix: count according to the actual structure.

Error 22. Order six sets, although two inner legs are adjustable

Two units remain extra.

Fix: separate legs by item numbers.

Error 23. Not performing a trial assembly of the series

The error repeats on dozens of products.

Fix: one full test assembly.

Error 24. Losing a plate or pin during assembly

The product unit becomes incomplete.

Fix: incoming inspection for two parts.

Error 25. Order legs and fittings at different times without cross-checking

It turns out that the fit differs.

Fix: unified purchase list.

When FUR-012 fits the project

The kit is worth considering if:

  • each required leg is designed for an M8 × 60 stud;

  • the base has a solid flat area for the Ø37 mm plate;

  • direct installation matches the design;

  • the plate fasteners are selected according to the material;

  • Base thickness confirmed by the master;

  • The circle does not intersect the edge, joint, cutout, or mechanism;

  • Quantity counted by supports;

  • Lower base plates selected separately;

  • Load checked across the entire structure;

  • Drawing completed before drilling.

When a different fastener is needed

FUR-012 may not fit if:

  • The leg does not accept an M8 stud;

  • The top part of the support is too small;

  • the base has no platform for Ø37 mm;

  • the plate falls on the edge or joint;

  • inclined installation is required;

  • the project includes a bushing FUR-001;

  • an adjustable upper assembly of a different design is needed;

  • the base material does not hold the selected screws;

  • the mounting conflicts with the upholstery or guides;

  • there is no technical confirmation of the load.

An honest refusal of an unsuitable plate is cheaper than reworking a finished facade, countertop, or frame.

How to place an order for FUR-012 at STAVROS

First, select the legs

Record the article number, quantity, height, material, and top mounting part. Check whether the FUR-012 card recommends it.

Then count the fastening points

Do not use the number of furniture items. For each product, record the number of legs with a Ø37 mm plate.

Check the base

Specify the material, thickness, shape of the mounting plate, position of edges, and adjacent parts.

Separate the top and bottom

FUR-012 refers to top mounting. Glides are ordered separately.

Verify the composition of one unit

One plate and one stud. For four legs — four units of the product.

Add installation materials

If necessary, you can order materials for furniture installationbut glue, finishing compounds, and tools do not replace the mechanical calculation of the joint.

Check the quality and documentation

Useful before the series check the quality of furniture components, compare the actual parts with the card and attach the drawing to the production sheet.

Calculate delivery in one order

Legs, fasteners, studs, and glides are more convenient to receive as an agreed set. Conditions can be checked on the page order delivery of furniture fittings.

After checking the diagram, you can order the required quantity of FUR-012 without the risk of mistaking one product unit for a set for the entire piece of furniture.

Frequently asked questions about FUR-012

Is FUR-012 sold individually or as a set of four legs?

Individually as one product unit. It includes one plate and one pin, so for four identical legs you usually need four units.

How many FUR-012 should I order for a table with four legs?

Four, if each leg is attached specifically through FUR-012. Compatibility of the base and supports is checked separately.

How many sets are needed for a three-legged table?

Three, if all three legs use this component.

How many FUR-012 are needed for a bed?

As many as its supports that are attached through the round plate FUR-012. Corner and central legs may have different systems.

Does FUR-012 include a plate?

Yes. One round metal mounting plate with a diameter of 37 mm and M8 thread is confirmed.

Does it include a stud?

Yes. One unit contains one M8 × 60 self-tapping stud.

Are screws for mounting the plate included?

Their composition and parameters are not specified in the confirmed description. Selection is made based on the base and the project.

Is a foot cap included?

No, a foot cap is not confirmed as part of FUR-012. The lower leg protection is ordered separately.

What does Ø37 mm mean?

This is the outer diameter of the round mounting plate. The furniture must have an area where the plate and its fasteners fit completely.

What does M8 mean?

This is the designation of a metric thread with a nominal diameter of 8 mm. The leg and the mating part must be compatible with M8.

What does 60 mm mean?

This is the confirmed length of the M8 × 60 stud.

Why does the table show 60 × 13 × 13 mm?

This line does not reflect the full outer diameter of the plate, Ø37 mm. The values should be read together with the description and drawing; the purpose of the two 13 mm parameters cannot be invented.

Can the plate be placed on a platform 37 mm wide?

A formal match alone is not enough. In addition to the circle, space for fasteners and clearances is required, which the craftsman determines.

Will FUR-012 fit any wooden leg?

No. A fit for the M8 stud, sufficient top part, and appropriate installation direction are needed.

Can a stud be screwed in without a pilot hole?

The preparation technology is determined by the material and the leg drawing. A universal scheme from card FUR-012 cannot be derived.

Is the set suitable for MDF?

The possibility depends on thickness, density, plate location, and fasteners. The material name itself does not confirm compatibility.

Is FUR-012 suitable for laminated chipboard?

Only after checking the base and fastener retention. Universal application in any board cannot be promised.

Can FUR-012 be used on a metal frame?

A separate plate-to-metal fixation unit is needed. The card does not provide a universal technology.

FUR-012 uses a round mounting plate and a stud, while FUR-001 uses a stud and an insert installed into the base.

FUR-012 uses a round plate Ø37 mm, FUR-001 uses a metal insert M8 × 13. Both contain a stud M8 × 60.

Can FUR-012 be replaced with the FUR-001 set?

Only after processing and confirmation of the design. The mating threaded elements are installed differently.

Can I buy just the stud?

Yes, FUR-001-1 is sold separately, but it does not replace the plate if there is no mating threaded assembly on the furniture.

Is a spare FUR-012 needed?

For single-piece furniture, no mandatory spare is established. For a series, the reserve is agreed with production and accounted for as a separate line.

How to calculate FUR-012 for two cabinets?

If each cabinet has four legs with this mounting, 2 × 4 = 8 units will be required.

How many sets are needed for a dresser with a fifth hidden support?

Four or five — depending on the mounting of the internal support. If it uses a different assembly, FUR-012 is needed only for the four outer legs.

Can legs be installed at an angle using FUR-012?

A straight round plate cannot be automatically used for inclined installation. A specially calculated assembly is used for the angle.

Where should the plate be located?

On a flat, sturdy structural part of the body or underframe, in the position indicated on the drawing.

Can the plate be placed at the joint of two parts?

Without a design solution, it should not be. Fasteners and load may be distributed incorrectly.

Do I need to consider the leg finish?

Yes. The mounting hole is protected from enamel, varnish, or tinting, and installation is performed without damaging the finished surface.

How to choose a floor glide?

By the shape and size of the bottom end, the type of floor, and the conditions of furniture movement. FUR-021 and FUR-027 solve different tasks.

How many floor glides should be ordered for four legs?

Four identical ones, if they are provided on each support.

Where can I see the current price for FUR-012?

In the product card. The price is indicated per unit, so the total is multiplied by the number of fastening points.

Can I order FUR-012 with Contact us to confirm shipping to your destination.?

Delivery terms and costs are checked when placing an order on the STAVROS website.

One unit per leg — a rule that saves the cart from mistakes.

FUR-012 is not a general set for a table, bed, or nightstand. One product unit contains one round plate Ø37 mm with M8 thread and one M8 × 60 stud. Therefore, four identical legs require four units, six require six, and furniture with mixed types of supports is calculated according to the actual scheme of each connection.

Before ordering, you need to check not only the quantity. The plate must fit completely on a sturdy, flat surface, the stud must match the leg's fit, and the plate's fasteners must match the material and thickness of the base. The notation 60 × 13 × 13 mm cannot be taken as the full size of the unit: for layout, the confirmed plate diameter of 37 mm is used, and the purpose of the two 13 mm values is clarified according to technical data.

A correct cart consists not of one vague line "furniture fastener," but of a precise set: furniture legs, one FUR-012 for each compatible support, plate fasteners according to the project, glides, and, if necessary, finishing materials. STAVROS allows you to assemble these items in related sections and check each article before payment. This approach helps order exactly as many fasteners as actually needed and not carry a configuration error over to the finished table, bed, nightstand, or dresser.
