More than 20 years on the market

The company's success began in 2002, when two artists — Andrey Ragozin and Evgeny Tsapko — created a small creative workshop for producing wooden carved items. The masters' work was quickly noticed, and within a year they were invited to participate in the reconstruction of the Konstantinovskiy Palace in Strelna.

After the success of this project, the company focused on recreating palace interiors, furniture, church furnishings, and carved decorations in various artistic styles. They worked with cultural heritage sites: The Hermitage, the Alexandrovsky Palace, the Troitsko-Izmaylovsky Cathedral, the Sheremetyevsky Mansion, and many others.

The masters' task — and still is — to create wooden items with the highest level of detail and understanding of every element, based on impeccable knowledge of artistic laws and interior styles.

CPU-1-3 Molded Decoration Set: an elegant solution for refined interiors

The 'Neoclassic' collection CPU-1-3 molded decoration set is an elegant solution for creating refined panels and decorative compositions on walls in a modern neoclassical style. This versatile set includes a square polyurethane corner molding and a primed MDF molding, which together form a harmonious composition for framing panel corners, creating frames and decorative borders of various configurations.Neoclassic Collectionoffers balanced solutions for embodying classical aesthetics with a modern approach to interior design.

Composition of the Molded Decoration Set

The CPU-1-3 set consists of two types of carefully selected elements, each playing an important role in creating a complete decorative composition.

MLDPU-003U Polyurethane Moldings

The polyurethane corner molding MLDPU-003U with dimensions 218 x 218 x 15 mm is the central decorative element of the set, designed for framing panel corners and creating accents at molding intersections. The square shape with proportions 218 x 218 mm makes this molding universally suitable for placement in corners of rectangular and square compositions of any orientation.

The material is high-quality European polyurethane with a density ranging from 150 to 420 kg/m³, providing an optimal combination of strength, lightness, and durability. The molding weighs only a few dozen grams, significantly simplifying installation and not placing any load on the wall even when using multiple elements in one composition.

The relief surface of the molding is highly detailed, reproducing an elegant neoclassical ornament. The relief depth is 15 mm, creating a pronounced three-dimensional effect without excessive bulk. Such depth is optimal for creating delicate, elegant compositions where refinement and elegance of lines are important.

The MLDPU-003U ornament is a symmetrical composition with characteristic neoclassical elements – plant motifs, geometric patterns, smooth lines, and restrained decoration. The central part of the molding often contains a rosette or cartouche, from which decorative elements radiate to the corners, creating a dynamic radial composition.

The 218 x 218 mm square shape is optimal for most interior compositions – sufficiently noticeable to create an accent, but not overly large to overwhelm the space. This size allows using the molding in rooms of various areas – from compact bedrooms to spacious living rooms.

The molding is supplied in white, ready for painting in any shade with acrylic, latex, or water-dispersive paints. The surface has a fine-pored structure, ideally accepting paint without priming, although light priming is recommended for improved adhesion and even coverage.

Polyurethane has exceptional moisture resistance, allowing the use of the molding even in rooms with high humidity – kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, where traditional gypsum molding quickly loses its properties. The material does not absorb water, does not swell, does not deform, and does not develop mold even under prolonged moisture exposure.

Resistance to temperature fluctuations in the range from -60 to +80°C allows using the molding in unheated rooms, on glazed balconies and loggias, in country houses with intermittent heating. The material does not crack in cold and does not soften when heated, maintaining stable shape and dimensions.

Primed MDF Molding MLD-003-MG

The MLD-003-MG molding serves as a framing element of the set, creating a frame for the composition and connecting corner moldings into a single structure. The item is made of high-quality MDF – medium-density fiberboard, characterized by uniform structure, dimensional stability, and excellent workability.

The molding has a profile width of 35 mm and thickness of 12 mm – optimal parameters for creating a noticeable frame without excessive bulk. The 35 mm width perfectly complements the 218 mm molding size, creating a proportional harmonious composition. The length of the strip is 2600 mm, allowing to create panels up to 2.5 x 2.5 meters with minimal joints.

The molding can be easily cut to any size and angle using a miter saw or miter box. The MDF material is processed without chips or scratches, ensuring a clean, neat cut. For obtaining ideal 45° angles, it is recommended to use a miter saw with a laser guide.

The molding is supplied in 'Prestige' quality primed finish, meaning detailed manual sanding of all surfaces and application of professional factory-grade primer. Such treatment ensures a perfectly smooth surface without dents, scratches, roughness, or other defects, ready for final painting without additional preparation.

The MLD-003-MG molding profile is executed in a minimalist neoclassical style with smooth lines and restrained relief. The shape represents a multi-step structure with alternating convex and concave elements, creating a delicate play of light and shadow. Such a shape perfectly complements the MLDPU-003U corner molding, not competing for attention but delicately framing and accentuating its beauty.

The profile of molding MLD-003-MG is designed in a minimalist neoclassical style with smooth lines and restrained relief. The shape features a multi-tiered structure with alternating convex and concave elements, creating a delicate play of light and shadow. This form harmonizes beautifully with the corner trim MLDPU-003U, complementing rather than competing for attention, and delicately framing and accentuating its beauty.

MDF has high dimensional stability and does not deform under changes in humidity and temperature within reasonable limits. However, the material is not recommended for use in rooms with constantly high humidity without additional protection with moisture-resistant lacquer or paint.Wall decoration from polyurethane and MDFcreates an optimal balance of aesthetics, functionality, and economy.

Features of the CPU-1-3 Set

The CPU-1-3 set has several distinctive features that define its application and advantages in interior design.

Corner Configuration

The main feature of the set is the corner configuration of the moldings, designed for placement in the corners of panels. This allows creating complete compositions with decorative accents in all four corners of a rectangular or square frame, which is characteristic of classical interiors.

The 218 x 218 mm square shape of the molding ensures ideal placement in 90° straight corners, creating a symmetrical, balanced composition. Using four moldings in the corners of one panel creates a rhythmic structure with repeating decorative elements.

Compactness of Elements

The 218 x 218 mm molding size and 35 mm molding width make the set optimal for rooms of standard size and for creating medium-scale compositions. This is a universal solution that does not overload space but creates a noticeable decorative effect.

The compactness of elements allows using the set in small rooms – bedrooms, offices, children's rooms, where large-format decoration would be inappropriate. At the same time, for spacious living rooms and halls, it is possible to create a series of panels using several sets.

Subdued Decorativeness

The 15 mm relief depth of the molding and the minimalist profile of the molding create a restrained, elegant composition, corresponding to the aesthetics of modern neoclassicism. This is not a pompous baroque molding with an abundance of details, but a refined, elegant decoration that highlights the architecture of the space.

Such restraint makes the set universal for various stylistic directions – from pure classicism to modern interiors with classical elements. The decoration does not dominate in space, but delicately complements the overall composition.

Economy

The CPU-1-3 set is the most affordable in the 'Neoclassic' collection, making it an excellent choice for projects with limited budgets. At the same time, the quality of materials and execution remains at a high level, characteristic of all Stavros products.

Using one molding instead of two-three of different sizes, as in the CPU-1-1 and CPU-1-2 sets, reduces cost without compromising aesthetics. This allows creating an elegant decoration even with a limited budget.

Variants of Application in Interior

The CPU-1-3 molded decoration set opens up wide creative possibilities for wall decoration in various rooms and stylistic directions.

Classic Wall Panels

Traditional application of the set is creating rectangular or square wall panels with moldings in the four corners. The MLD-003-MG molding forms the frame, and the MLDPU-003U moldings are placed in the corners of the frame, creating decorative accents and completing the composition.

Such panels can be arranged symmetrically or asymmetrically, in a single row or in a checkerboard pattern, creating a rhythmic wall structure. Panel size varies from compact 60 x 80 cm to large 150 x 200 cm depending on room size and design concept.

The interior space of the panel is painted in a contrasting color relative to the main wall – light panel on dark wall or dark on light. It is possible to use wallpaper with a subtle pattern, decorative plaster, or Venetian plaster to create additional texture and depth in the composition.

Headboard Framing

In the bedroom, the CPU-1-3 set is used to create a decorative frame on the wall behind the bed headboard. A rectangular or square panel with corner moldings visually highlights the bedroom zone, creating an effect of an architectural niche or headboard integrated into the wall.

The panel size usually corresponds to the width of the bed or slightly exceeds it, creating harmonious proportions. The height of the panel can vary from 120 to 180 cm depending on the height of the headboard and the overall scale of the room. The moldings in the corners create a picture frame effect, where 'the picture' is the bed headboard.

Color solution can be classic – white decoration on pastel wall – or contrasting for creating a dramatic effect. It is possible to use wallpaper with a subtle pattern inside the panel or textile upholstery to create a soft textured surface.

TV Zone Decoration

In the living room, the CPU-1-3 set is used to create a decorative frame for the TV zone. The TV is placed within the panel formed by moldings with corner moldings, integrating modern technology into a classical interior and softening the visual dissonance between styles.

The panel size should be 20-30 cm larger than the TV diagonal in width and height, creating space between the screen and the frame. The moldings in the corners divert attention from the black rectangular screen, transforming it into part of the decorative composition.

It is possible to place additional elements inside the panel – decorative shelves, hidden lighting, decorative niches. Such a comprehensive solution turns the TV zone into a full-fledged architectural element of the interior.

Doorway Decoration

The CPU-1-3 set is used for decorative treatment of doorways, giving them architectural expressiveness and grandeur. The molding frames the opening along the perimeter, and corner moldings are placed in the upper corners, creating an effect of a portal or arch.

Such treatment visually increases the height of the opening, emphasizes its significance in the spatial structure, and turns an ordinary door into a decorative element. Especially effective is such a solution with contrasting decoration and wall coloring.

It is possible to decorate not only interior doors, but also entrance doors, arched openings, passages to the living room or dining room. Repeating decoration of all openings in a unified style creates architectural unity in the interior.

Niche and Partition Decoration

In the partitions between windows, in wall niches, in the space above chests and consoles, the CPU-1-3 set is used to create decorative panels framing these functional zones. Moldings form a frame that repeats the shape of the niche or partition, and corner moldings complete the composition.

Inside such a panel, mirrors, paintings, photographs, wall-mounted lamps are placed, creating an organized composition. Decorative framing turns an ordinary niche into an architectural element that attracts attention.

Space Zoning

In open-plan rooms, the CPU-1-3 set is used for visual zoning of space. A series of panels on one wall marks a functional zone – living room, dining room, work area – without cluttering space with physical partitions.

Repeating decorative elements create a rhythmic structure that organizes space and guides the gaze. Different color solutions for panels in different zones additionally emphasize their functional differences.

The CPU-1-3 set creates an atmosphere of solidity and focus in a home office or library. Wall panels behind the desk, bookcase framing, and lounge zone decoration — all these techniques are implemented using elements from the set.

Neoclassical decor style combines beautifully with classic dark wood furniture, leather chairs, and bookshelves. It creates an image of a cultured person who values tradition, quality, and restrained elegance.

The color scheme leans toward noble, restrained tones — white, cream, gray, beige. Dark tones may be used to create an intimate atmosphere.

Installation technology of the set

Installation of CPU-1-3 set elements is performed using standard mounting technology for polyurethane decor and MDF molding, following a specific sequence of operations.

Surface preparation

The wall must be flat, clean, dry, and strong to ensure reliable adhesion of the adhesive to the base. Significant unevenness exceeding 5 mm over a 2-meter length is leveled with putty followed by sanding. Minor defects up to 2-3 mm are acceptable, as moldings will partially conceal them.

The surface is cleaned of dust, dirt, grease stains, and remnants of old coatings. Degreasing is performed using a solvent or special degreaser. Afterward, the wall is primed with a deep-penetration acrylic primer to improve adhesive adhesion and strengthen the surface layer.

Primer is applied with a roller or brush in one layer, with full drying before mounting the decor. The primer drying time is usually 2-4 hours at 20-25°C and normal humidity. Priming is especially important for porous bases — plaster, gypsum board, concrete.

Composition design

Before mounting, carefully design the composition taking into account the room's dimensions, furniture placement, window and door positions, and lighting sources. It is recommended to create a sketch on paper to scale or in a graphic editor, defining exact panel sizes, their quantity, and spacing between them.

Composition design principles — symmetry, balance, rhythm, golden section proportions — are considered. Panel size should correspond to room scale — smaller panels are better for compact rooms, while larger compositions suit spacious areas.

Detailed marking is performed on the wall using a laser level, construction level, tape measure, plumb bob, and pencil. Corners of panels, molding lines, and centers of corner inserts are marked. Symmetrical compositions are marked from the central axis to ensure perfect symmetry.

It is important to note that corner inserts have dimensions of 218 x 218 mm and should be positioned so that their center aligns precisely with the corner of the molding frame. During marking, not only molding lines but also corner centers should be marked for accurate positioning of inserts.

Element preparation

Elements of the set must be acclimated to the room's climate for 24 hours before installation, especially if stored in a cold warehouse or delivered in winter. This allows materials to adjust to the room's temperature and humidity, preventing deformation after installation.

Moldings are cut to size using a circular saw or miter gauge to achieve precise 45° angles at joints. A sharp blade with fine teeth (at least 60 teeth) and slow feed without pressure are used to ensure a clean cut without chipping.

It is recommended to number cut moldings and mark their installation positions on the wall to avoid confusion during mounting. Corner inserts usually do not require cutting and are installed whole.

Molding installation

Moldings are installed first, forming the composition's frame, to which corner inserts are added later. MDF moldings are secured using a special wood adhesive, universal polymer adhesive (liquid nails), or acrylic mounting adhesive.

Adhesive is applied to the back of the molding in a thin bead with 10-15 cm intervals or two parallel strips along the strip. To ensure secure fixation, adhesive is also applied to the ends of moldings at joints.

The molding is pressed firmly against the wall strictly according to the marking and held for 30-60 seconds until the adhesive sets. It is important not to shift the molding after pressing, as this will disrupt contact with the adhesive. For long strips, temporary fixation with painter's tape or supports may be required until the adhesive fully dries (24 hours).

Excess adhesive protruding from under the molding is immediately wiped away with a damp cloth or sponge before it dries. Dried adhesive is much harder to remove and may damage the composition's appearance.

Molding joints in corners must be as tight as possible without gaps. Small gaps are filled with white acrylic sealant or wood putty, followed by sanding after drying. Ideal joints create the impression of a monolithic frame made from a single piece of material.

Installation of corner inserts

After mounting and drying of moldings, polyurethane corner inserts MLDPU-003U are installed. Special polyurethane adhesive is used for mounting, ensuring reliable connection to various bases and elastic joints that compensate for material thermal expansion.

Adhesive is applied to the entire back surface of the insert in a thin, even layer or in spots with 3-5 cm intervals. For small inserts of 218 x 218 mm, it is sufficient to apply adhesive in 9-12 spots around the perimeter and center.

The insert is pressed firmly against the wall at the panel corner strictly according to the marking, so that its center coincides with the corner of the molding frame. The insert is held by hand for 30-60 seconds until the adhesive sets. Due to the low weight of the polyurethane insert (less than 100 grams), additional fixation is not required.

It is important to ensure even contact of the insert with the wall over its entire surface without voids or delamination. Voids under the insert may lead to deformation or peeling during use. Excess adhesive is wiped away with a damp cloth.

When installing four inserts in the corners of one panel, it is important to ensure their identical orientation relative to the ornament pattern to create a symmetrical composition. It is recommended to lay out all inserts before mounting and determine their correct positions.

Final finishing

After the adhesive has fully dried (usually 24 hours under normal conditions), the entire composition is finished. Joints between elements, gaps between decor and walls, and areas where moldings meet inserts are filled with white acrylic sealant.

Sealant is applied using a caulking gun in a thin, neat bead, then smoothed with a damp finger, putty knife, or special tool to form the joint. Excess sealant is wiped away with a damp sponge before it dries.

The entire decor surface is lightly sanded with fine-grit sandpaper (grit 220-320) to remove imperfections, adhesive droplets, sealant marks, and prepare for painting. Sanding is done carefully without heavy pressure to avoid damaging the relief.

MDF moldings, when primed, usually do not require additional priming before painting. Polyurethane inserts are recommended to be primed with acrylic primer to improve paint adhesion and ensure even coverage.

Painting is done using water-based acrylic or latex paints with a small roller or brush in 2-3 layers with intermediate drying of 2-4 hours. The first layer is applied thinly to fill pores and create a base, subsequent layers are applied to achieve a rich, even color.

For painting recessed areas of inserts, a brush of appropriate size is used to ensure full coverage of all recesses. Excess paint in recesses is removed with a dry brush or sponge to prevent pooling.

Special techniques are used to create decorative effects — patination (applying contrasting pigment into recesses followed by blending), gilding or silvering with gold or metallic paints, or applying translucent glazes to create depth of color.

Stylistic compatibility

The CPU-1-3 set, due to its restrained elegance and universal proportions, fits organically into interiors of various stylistic directions.

Neoclassical style

Neoclassicism is the natural style for the CPU-1-3 set, where restrained ornamentation, symmetry, balance of elements, and classical proportions are fundamental principles. The set perfectly embodies neoclassical aesthetics — elegance without pomp, ornamentation without excess, classicism interpreted in a modern context.

The color scheme leans toward light neutral tones — white, cream, gray, beige, with possible accents in pastel shades. Furniture — with clean lines, symmetrical forms, quality materials. Textiles — natural, with noble texture.

American classic

American classic, with its inclination toward symmetry, proportionality, restrained elegance, combines beautifully with the CPU-1-3 set. Wall panels, door frame framing, fireplace zone decoration — typical techniques of this style, implemented using elements from the set.

Color palette — warm neutral tones of beige, cream, gray-brown, with possible accents in dark blue, burgundy, emerald. Furniture — classic forms made of natural wood or quality MDF. Atmosphere — cozy home ambiance with aristocratic undertones.

Modern classic

Modern classic, combining classical elements with modern functionality and minimalism, finds ideal embodiment in the CPU-1-3 set. Restrained decor does not overload space but creates a connection with classical tradition, adding depth and character to the interior.

Color solution can be either classic monochrome or contrasting — white decor on dark walls or vice versa. Furniture — modern forms with classical references. The combination of classic and modern creates a current, universal interior.

Scandinavian classic

Scandinavian classic, with its inclination toward light tones, natural materials, functionality, and restrained decor, complements the CPU-1-3 set beautifully. White or light-gray decor on white walls creates an effect of volumetric architectural detail without color contrast.

This solution is characteristic of Scandinavian interiors, where form and texture are more important than color. Decor adds architectural detail and structure to the space without disrupting the overall light, airy atmosphere.

Parisian chic

Parisian style, with its elegance, refinement, blend of classic and modern, and use of moldings and stucco in white interiors, finds ideal tools in the CPU-1-3 set. Multiple small wall panels, mirror framing, and pilaster decoration — typical features of Parisian apartments.

Color palette — white, cream, gray, with possible accents in black, gold, dusty rose. Furniture — mix of vintage and modern pieces. Atmosphere — refined bohemianism with aristocratic undertones.

Combination with other collection elements

The CPU-1-3 set is part of the 'Neoclassic' collection and can be used independently or in combination with other elements from the line.

Combination with CPU-1-1 and CPU-1-2 sets

Using sets of different complexity in one interior allows creating a hierarchy of decorative elements. More complex sets CPU-1-1 and CPU-1-2 are used for formal zones — living room, dining room, entryway. The CPU-1-3 set is for private rooms — bedrooms, offices, children's rooms.

This solution creates a logical interior structure where the level of decor corresponds to the room's status. At the same time, a unified style of all elements ensures the overall image's coherence.

Adding other moldings

To create more complex multi-level panels, the CPU-1-3 set can be supplemented with moldings of other profiles from the 'Neoclassic' collection. Using two types of moldings — main framing and inner frame — creates depth and complexity in the composition.

Moldings of different widths are placed parallel to each other, creating a stepped structure. Corner inserts are placed in the corners of the outer or inner frame depending on the designer's solution.

Adding central elements

Adding central rosettes, cartouches, or other decorative elements from the 'Neoclassic' collection to panels from the CPU-1-3 set creates a more enriched composition. The central element is placed in the geometric center of the panel, drawing primary attention.

This solution is characteristic of classical interiors, where symmetry and presence of a focal point in each composition are important. The central element may also serve functional purposes — as a base for a chandelier, wall lamp, or mirror mounting.

Creating series compositions

Purchasing several CPU-1-3 sets allows creating a series of identical panels on one wall or in different rooms. Repeating decorative motifs form a rhythmic structure that organizes space and creates stylistic unity in the interior.

Various configurations are possible – one row, two rows in a checkerboard pattern, or groups of three to four panels. The choice of configuration depends on the wall area, furniture placement, and overall room composition.

Care and Maintenance

The CPU-1-3 ornamental decoration set requires no complex maintenance and retains its original appearance when simple usage rules are followed.

Regular cleaning

To remove dust from the surface of the decoration, it is sufficient to periodically wipe it with a dry, soft microfiber cloth or a special dust-removal cloth. Relief areas of corner inserts are cleaned with a soft brush, a vacuum cleaner with a furniture attachment on minimum power, or a dry brush.

Cleaning frequency depends on the intensity of room use and overall dust level. In the living room and dining room, weekly cleaning is recommended; in the bedroom, cleaning every two weeks is sufficient. Regular cleaning prevents the accumulation of stubborn dirt in the relief’s recesses.

Wet cleaning

If more thorough cleaning is required, the decoration can be wiped with slightly damp (not wet) cloth. To remove stains and dirt, use soft cleaning agents for painted surfaces, diluted in warm water according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

The solution is applied with a soft cloth or sponge, dirt is carefully removed without vigorous rubbing, then the surface is wiped with a clean damp cloth to remove cleaning agent residue and dried with a soft towel.

Abrasive cleaning agents with hard particles, stiff brushes, metal sponges, solvents, and aggressive chemical compounds that may damage the painted surface or dissolve polyurethane are not allowed. Also, excessive soaking of MDF moldings with water is not recommended.

Repair of damage

For minor scratches, scuffs, or paint chips on painted surfaces, the affected area is locally touched up with the same paint. The paint is applied with a fine artist’s brush, and after drying, it is lightly blended for a seamless transition to the original finish.

More serious MDF molding damage – chips, dents, scratches – is repaired with wood putty. The defect is filled with putty slightly in excess, after complete drying (usually 4–6 hours), excess is sanded with fine-grit sandpaper, the surface is primed and painted.

Polyurethane inserts, due to the elasticity and resilience of the material, are practically immune to chips and cracks. Upon mechanical impact, the material deforms but does not break. Minor dents often self-repair over time due to the polyurethane’s 'memory' effect.

If an element detaches from the wall (which rarely happens with proper installation), carefully separate it, clean the back side and wall surface of old adhesive residue with a scraper or sandpaper, apply fresh adhesive, and firmly press the element back into place, holding it until the adhesive sets.

Interior refresh

Painted decoration can be repainted multiple times when changing the interior’s color concept, updating finishes, or simply to refresh its appearance. To do this, the surface is lightly sanded with fine-grit sandpaper to remove gloss and create a rougher texture for better adhesion of the new paint.

After sanding, the surface is cleaned of dust with a damp cloth. If necessary, it is primed (usually when changing color dramatically) and painted in the new color in 2–3 layers. Repainting takes one day, including drying time for each layer.

The ability to repaint multiple times makes the CPU-1-3 set a long-term investment in interior design. The same decoration can be adapted to various stylistic solutions – from classic white to bold, saturated tones or decorative effects – simply by changing the finish.
