Description

PAN-007 – Slat panel made of MDF and solid wood on a fabric base
A modern modular decorative solution – a slatted panel on a flexible fabric base. This model is suitable for furniture decoration and interior design.
Technical Specifications
Trapezoidal elements are glued onto a fabric base, thoroughly sanded and ready for painting. Three finish options are available:
• Deep-milled MDF for painting with enamels – for bright, modern solutions;
• Solid oak or beech for tinting and coating with transparent varnishes – for connoisseurs of natural texture and the aesthetics of natural wood.
Installation
Panels are fixed using contact adhesive. Additional mechanical fastening with micro-pins using a pneumatic gun is recommended. Fastening points are puttied and sanded if necessary. Recommendations for painting MDF panels
Before painting, MDF slatted panels must be primed. It is recommended to apply two coats of polyurethane-based insulating primer with intermediate sanding of raised fibers. Priming is advisable to perform before panel installation. Proper surface preparation ensures high-quality painting and significantly reduces paint consumption.
For panels used in furniture decoration, we recommend polyurethane and acrylic enamels. They form a wear-resistant coating that is resistant to abrasion, temperature fluctuations, and wet cleaning. Painting with these materials is carried out in a spray booth.
For panels used in interior decoration, water-based paints on acrylic or latex bases are optimal. Such compositions are environmentally friendly, do not have a strong solvent odor, and dry quickly. They can be used in residential premises directly during renovation.
Recommendations for finishing solid beech and oak panels
• Painting with various colored enamels and paints with preliminary primer application;
• Application of colored stains, patinas, and varnishes on various bases, highlighting the beauty of natural wood;
• One of the simple and economical ways to protect wood is by applying oils (we recommend Rubio Monocoat). The oil reliably protects the surface from water and wear, gives a rich color, and vividly highlights the wood grain.
For ease of transportation and storage, panels are supplied rolled into compact rolls.

More than 20 years on the market

The company's success began in 2002, when two artists — Andrey Ragozin and Evgeny Tsapko — created a small creative workshop for producing wooden carved items. The masters' work was quickly noticed, and within a year they were invited to participate in the reconstruction of the Konstantinovskiy Palace in Strelna.

After the success of this project, the company focused on recreating palace interiors, furniture, church furnishings, and carved decorations in various artistic styles. They worked with cultural heritage sites: The Hermitage, the Alexandrovsky Palace, the Troitsko-Izmaylovsky Cathedral, the Sheremetyevsky Mansion, and many others.

The masters' task — and still is — to create wooden items with the highest level of detail and understanding of every element, based on impeccable knowledge of artistic laws and interior styles.

Slat panel PAN-007 for walls, columns, furniture and curved surfaces

Slat panel PAN-007 is not a flat cladding or fine decorative cutting: it is a relief panel with vertical slats and a 23 × 8 mm profile, creating a large, calm, and architecturally expressive rhythm on the surface. The panel width of 1010 mm allows covering a large area quickly with minimal joints, while the pronounced vertical relief of 8 mm depth creates a stable play of light and shadow under any type of lighting. PAN-007 is available in MDF, beech, and oak, designed for finishing with enamel, tinting, varnish, or oil, and is suitable for both residential and commercial interiors.

The main purpose of PAN-007 is to create an expressive but not overloaded vertical texture: to decorate an accent wall, column, reception desk, furniture facade, or curved decorative surface with a large, confident slat rhythm.

Where is PAN-007 used

decorative slatted panel PAN-007 covers a wide range of furniture and interior tasks – from living rooms to commercial spaces with high requirements for visual quality of finishing.

Accent walls in residential interiors — TV zones, walls behind a sofa or bed, hallways and foyers. The large vertical rhythm of PAN-007 creates a full decorative backdrop that works as an independent interior technique: without additional molding frames, stucco elements, or patterned wallpaper.

Columns, half-columns, and radius walls — the key advantage of PAN-007. The slatted panel design allows application on curved surfaces: columns, rounded walls, radius posts, and architectural niches. The large slat spacing on radius surfaces looks organic and does not create a visual "break" in the rhythm, characteristic of small frequent cuts on curved bases. Before installation on a radius section, it is necessary to check the base, the permissible bending radius for the selected material, and the fastening method considering the specific project conditions.

Reception desks and bar counters — wooden slat panel for cladding the front surfaces of receptions, bars, and administrative areas. The 23 mm profile on the counter front creates a material, weighty feel of natural wood and gives the commercial space a level of finish associated with premium interiors.

Furniture facades, cabinets, nightstands, consoles — PAN-007 as a cladding material for furniture surfaces. The large slatted rhythm turns a flat cabinet facade into an architecturally significant element, especially on wide cabinets and built-in wardrobes.

Decorative partitions — solid wood decorative panels for zoning structures in residential and commercial spaces. The slatted texture of PAN-007 on a partition creates a semi-transparent visual barrier: the plane separates zones but does not enclose the space.

Commercial interiors — cafes, restaurants, offices, showrooms, beauty salons, hotels, and any spaces where vertical slatted texture is part of the design concept or branding.

The panel can be used as an interior accent, furniture cladding, or decorative finish for straight, radius, and complex-shaped surfaces — the function is determined by the project's requirements.

Size 1010 mm and profile 23 × 8 mm: difference from small cuts

Panel width A = 1010 mm is a working standard convenient for most interior tasks. On a standard wall 2700 mm high, three to four panels in width cover the entire plane with a minimum number of vertical joints. The wide format reduces installation time and simplifies material calculation for the project.

Profile 23 × 8 mm is the main characteristic defining the visual character of PAN-007. The slat width of about 23 mm sets a large, confident step: each slat is clearly read as a separate vertical element, and together they form a rhythmic, architectural surface. This is a fundamental difference from panels with a fine, frequent step where slats merge into a single texture — on PAN-007, the rhythm remains visible and structural.

Relief depth of 8 mm is a balance between volume and compactness. 8 mm provides sufficient depth for expressive light and shadow play: the side of each slat creates a constant shadow that makes the surface voluminous under any type of lighting. At the same time, 8 mm is not a massive protruding relief, but a neat decorative profile that does not "absorb" space in narrow rooms.

Panel length depends on the material and chosen version: MDF is supplied in lengths of 950 mm and 2670 mm, beech and oak — in lengths of 950 mm and 2400 mm. Before ordering, it is necessary to check the required length against the room height or furniture element size and calculate the layout scheme.

PAN-007 creates a larger and calmer slatted texture: it looks good on large walls, columns, reception areas, and furniture facades where a confident decorative rhythm is needed without fine surface fuss.

Large vertical relief as an interior accent

Unlike panels with fine frequent slats, PAN-007 provides a more confident and calm vertical rhythm. Each wide slat becomes an independent vertical element, and the entire panel pattern is perceived not as a "texture" but as "surface architecture." This is a fundamental difference in perception: fine slats work as a background, while PAN-007's wide slats work as a structural element that organizes the plane.

The vertical rhythm works for the space: lines directed upward visually elongate the surface and create a feeling of greater room height. At a standard height of 2700 mm, the effect is noticeable even in small rooms. On columns, vertical slats emphasize the load-bearing nature of the structure and give it architectural expressiveness.

The play of light and shadow on the 23 × 8 mm profile is especially noticeable with side or spot lighting. Each slat receives an illuminated front plane and a shaded side — the surface becomes dynamic and alive, changing throughout the day depending on the direction and intensity of light. This makes PAN-007 an effective tool for creating atmospheric interiors where depth and materiality of surfaces are important.

Materials: MDF, beech, and oak

Slat panel PAN-007 is produced in three materials. The choice between them is determined by the finish, operating conditions, and visual concept of the project.

MDF: the basis for painted solutions

MDF is a homogeneous, stable material without natural texture, which gives a predictable result under any coating. MDF slatted panel — the optimal choice for projects where the surface needs to be painted in an exact color: to match the wall, furniture, or corporate design of a commercial space.

For MDF, the Prestige primed version is available — the panel is supplied with a base primer layer applied, ready for final painting. This speeds up finishing work on site and ensures more even application of the topcoat on relief surfaces and slat sides. On large slat profiles of 23 mm, where the slat side is a significant visible plane, even priming is especially important for the quality of the final paint finish.

Beech: natural solid wood for painting and glazing

Slatted panel made of beech — a choice for projects where a natural wooden base with a neutral, calm texture is important. Beech accepts enamel and glazing coatings well: under dense paint, the surface behaves predictably; under light tinting, it provides a warm neutral background. Beech blends organically with other wooden interior elements of the same species — moldings, trims and wooden elements for furniture.

Oak: expressive texture for tinting and oil

oak slat panel — a solution for projects where the natural wood grain is a key decorative element. On large slats 23 mm wide, the oak grain is revealed especially effectively: the fibers run along each slat, the "mirrors" of the species create a characteristic pattern, and the wide slat plane acts as a "showcase" for the wood texture. Under tinting, oak PAN-007 acquires a deep color with internal contrast of dark pores and light fibers. Under oil or clear varnish, oak retains its natural warmth and matteness — optimal for interiors in Japandi, eco, and modern neoclassical styles.

MDF and beech are more often chosen for painting, while oak is for projects with an open natural wood texture.

Which styles is PAN-007 suitable for

The large vertical relief PAN-007 is versatile in stylistic range. The visual character of the panel changes depending on the material and finish, remaining organic in a wide range of modern interior concepts.

Modern interior and minimalism — PAN-007 under white or neutral enamel as the only decorative technique on an accent wall. Large clean vertical lines, no extra decor: all expressiveness is created through form and light.

Japandi and eco-style — oak PAN-007 with oil or clear lacquer. Natural wood grain, warm tones, organic texture without additional processing — everything that defines the aesthetic of these directions.

Scandinavian style and contemporary — panel in light tones, possibly with light tinting. The vertical rhythm against white or light gray surfaces adds delicate depth to the interior without heaviness.

Loft — PAN-007 made of oak with rich dark tinting as an industrial, heavy material accent in a space with open structures.

Soft neoclassicism — slatted panel instead of traditional molding frame compositions. PAN-007 gives the neoclassical space a modern, concise interpretation of vertical decor.

Commercial interiors with natural texture — cafes, hotels, showrooms, offices, where wooden 3D panel for interior creates a feeling of quality, naturalness, and thoughtful design.

"Prestige" quality and primed execution

On a slatted panel with a large profile of 23 × 8 mm, each slat has several visible planes: a wide face, sides, and the base of the inter-slat groove. All these planes are in view when looking at the surface normally, and the quality of their processing determines the final result after finishing.

"Prestige" quality includes sequential multi-stage sanding to a final grit value on all working surfaces of the profile: the face plane of the slats, sides, and bottom of the inter-slat grooves. For wide 23 mm slats, uniformity of sanding on the face plane is especially important — it occupies the largest visible area and is the first to show any unevenness when applying tinting or lacquer.

Primed execution for MDF is an additional option that speeds up painting work on site. The primed panel is supplied with a sealed base, ready for applying the final enamel without preliminary priming. For beech and oak, the selection of the final coating depends on the task: enamel or primer-enamel for painted solutions, oil, tinting, or clear lacquer for natural ones.

How to choose PAN-007 for a project

Step 1 — determine the surface. Straight wall, column, curved area, furniture facade, counter or partition — each surface type has its own installation requirements. For curved areas, check the base and allowable bending radius in advance, considering the panel material.

Step 2 — assess the scale. The large 23 mm rhythm of PAN-007 looks especially impressive on large planes: wide walls, tall facades, long reception areas. It also works on small local accents, but it's important to ensure the scale of the slat is proportional to the scale of the element.

Step 3 — choose the material and finish. MDF for enamel and painting, beech for enamel or glaze, oak for tinting, oil or clear varnish. For mixed constructions, select the panel material according to the main material of the product or interior solution.

Step 4 — calculate the layout scheme. The width of 1010 mm simplifies horizontal cutting calculations. Plan the location of vertical joints — preferably in less visible areas or where the joint is covered by a corner, furniture, or decorative element.

Step 5 — choose the length according to the room height. MDF 2670 mm covers standard room height with minimal trimming. Beech and oak 2400 mm are suitable for rooms up to 2400 mm high. For higher rooms with solid wood, a horizontal joint will be required — its location needs to be planned in advance.

Step 6 — consider transitions and allowance. Joints with the ceiling, baseboard, and corners require appropriate profile strips or of wooden moldings. Allowance for trimming — 5–7% for straight walls, 10–15% for surfaces with complex geometry.

Who is PAN-007 suitable for

Interior designers and architects — PAN-007 is included in the specification by article for residential and commercial projects. The large 23 mm profile reads well in visualizations and final interior photographs.

Furniture workshops and joinery production — relief wooden panel for cladding furniture fronts, side panels, and partition structures. Supplied ready for installation without additional mechanical processing of the profile.

Finishing companies — material for decorative wall finishing in residential and commercial projects. Primed MDF reduces painting time on site.

Owners of commercial spaces — cafes, restaurants, beauty salons, showrooms, hotels, and offices, where PAN-007 is used as decorative wall, counter, column, and partition cladding, shaping the character of the space.

Private customers — each item is available for retail from one unit. The panel is suitable for DIY accent walls, TV zones, hallways, and other decorative elements according to your own design.

PAN-007 is chosen for projects requiring an expressive vertical texture with a larger pitch: for walls, columns, curved surfaces, furniture, and commercial interiors. Related range: Carved wooden decoration, wooden elements for furniture и wooden interior decor.
