More than 20 years on the market
The company's success began in 2002, when two artists — Andrey Ragozin and Evgeny Tsapko — created a small creative workshop for producing wooden carved items. The masters' work was quickly noticed, and within a year they were invited to participate in the reconstruction of the Konstantinovskiy Palace in Strelna.
After the success of this project, the company focused on recreating palace interiors, furniture, church furnishings, and carved decorations in various artistic styles. They worked with cultural heritage sites: The Hermitage, the Alexandrovsky Palace, the Troitsko-Izmaylovsky Cathedral, the Sheremetyevsky Mansion, and many others.
The masters' task — and still is — to create wooden items with the highest level of detail and understanding of every element, based on impeccable knowledge of artistic laws and interior styles.

MLDPU-004 STAVROS polyurethane molding — a universal thin profile with pronounced relief for exquisite wall and furniture finishing
MLDPU-004 molding is a delicate yet visually crisp decorative profile made of two-component polyurethane, with a width of 15 mm, a projection height of 8 mm, and a standard strip length of 2600 mm. This is a special category of molding — not just a thin glazing bead and not yet a wide architectural profile, but a precisely calibrated medium format that combines the delicacy of a line with sufficient relief to create an expressive play of shadows. Moldings of this format are the most versatile: they work in small apartments without the risk of overloading the space, in spacious living rooms — as an inner contour of a composite frame, on furniture fronts — as an elegant framing for a panel, and in bathrooms — as a moisture-resistant element of classic wall finishing.
Profile geometry: elegance in every detail
The cross-section of the MLDPU-004 molding is a multi-level profile with a central semi-circular bead, side horizontals, and clear stepped transitions. With a width of only 15 mm, this profile accommodates several sequential relief levels — achieved through the precision of the mold, which allows reproducing the finest details without loss of clarity on narrow sections.
A projection height of 8 mm relative to a width of 15 mm is a sufficiently 'tall' profile, meaning its relief is perceived as pronounced and voluminous even at a glance. The shadow cast by such molding under side lighting is sharply defined — this makes frame compositions from MLDPU-004 legible and decoratively significant under any lighting conditions. A strip length of 2600 mm is the STAVROS production standard, ensuring work without transverse joints on most standard frame formats.

Two-component polyurethane: the material that distinguishes STAVROS
MLDPU-004 molding is made from two-component polyurethane — a reaction injection molding material that fundamentally differs from expanded polystyrene, PVC extrusion, and cheap analogues in all consumer characteristics.
Monolithic structure without voids. During production, two liquid components are mixed and fed into a closed mold under pressure. The chemical reaction forms a monolithic product without bubbles, layers, or internal stresses. This is why MLDPU-004 molding yields a perfectly clean cut when sawn — the material is homogeneous throughout the cross-section, and the profile does not crumble even on the thinnest sections of the relief.
Clarity of fine relief. With a width of 15 mm, the accuracy of profile reproduction is especially important. STAVROS two-component polyurethane ensures the clarity of each line in the cross-section — the central bead, side horizontals, and transitional chamfers look just as clean on the actual product as on the drawing. No blurriness, no 'smeared' boundaries characteristic of cheap materials.
Moisture resistance without reservations. The closed-cell structure of polyurethane does not allow moisture to pass through — neither in liquid nor vapor form. MLDPU-004 molding is absolutely safe for bathrooms, kitchens, and any other rooms with regularly high humidity. It does not swell, deform, detach from the surface, or become a breeding ground for mold.
Flexibility and strength during installation. Despite the compact cross-section of 15×8 mm, the 2600 mm long strip is sufficiently rigid to not sag under its own weight during horizontal installation, and sufficiently flexible to not crack under accidental loads during work. This is important when installing over large areas, where each strip must be handled multiple times — applied, aligned, removed, and reapplied.
Perfect base for any paint. The molding surface is smooth and homogeneous — the first layer of acrylic enamel adheres without primer and yields a clean, even color. Decorative coatings — patina, metal imitation, two-tone finishes — are also realized on STAVROS polyurethane predictably and professionally.
Temperature stability. The molding maintains its geometry during seasonal temperature fluctuations in living spaces — does not warp in summer, does not crack in winter, does not lose adhesion with the glue during fluctuations from +5 to +35 °C.
Application of MLDPU-004 molding: maximum possibilities with minimal cross-section
The compact 15×8 mm format opens up an exceptionally wide range of applications for MLDPU-004 molding. Precisely because this profile is light, thin, and delicate, it works where wider moldings would be excessive.
Inner contour of composite frame systems. One of the main applications of MLDPU-004 is the role of an inner framing profile in multi-level frame systems. A wide molding MLDPU-003 (35 mm) or MLDPU-002 (22 mm) is mounted on the outside, and inside it at a distance of 15–20 mm — MLDPU-004 molding. This creates a double frame with a clearly expressed hierarchy of profiles, which is a classic palace technique for framing wall panels. Such a system looks rich and detailed even in monochrome execution.
Independent frame panels in small spaces. In apartments with low ceilings — 2.5–2.7 m — and small rooms, wide molding can look excessive. MLDPU-004 molding in such spaces is the ideal choice: it creates wall decor without weighing down the interior. Rectangular frames made from this profile on bedroom or living room walls in a small apartment look modern, stylish, and proportionate to the space.
Furniture fronts: thin frames with an expressive profile. In furniture production, MLDPU-004 molding is used to create elegant frames on the fronts of cabinets, kitchen sets, cabinets, and dressers. With a width of 15 mm, the frame is not too massive — it does not 'eat up' the front but neatly frames it, giving the product a finished look in the spirit of neoclassicism or modern classic. For furniture in Provence, shabby chic, and French country styles, precisely such a delicate profile is the professional standard.
Decorating interior doors. Standard smooth MDF interior doors with MLDPU-004 molding glued in the form of a frame system acquire the appearance of classic paneled leaves. Frames made from a thin profile on doors look exquisite and delicate — this is not a crude imitation but a subtle decorative technique that yields a convincing result.
Bathrooms and wet areas. Thanks to absolute moisture resistance, MLDPU-004 molding is one of the best options for decorating bathroom walls. Classic frames made from a thin profile on bathroom walls, painted to match the tile or paint, create an interior that looks significantly more expensive than its actual cost. This technique has remained among the most popular designer solutions for bathrooms in neoclassical and French style for several years.
Hallways and corridors. Narrow long spaces — hallways and corridors — need rhythmic organization of the wall surface to make them visually wider and more interesting. Vertical frames made from MLDPU-004 molding, mounted along the long walls of a hallway, solve this task elegantly and without significant costs. With monochrome painting, all decor looks like a built-in architectural element, not an applied finish.
Ceiling perimeter and light coves. The compact 15×8 mm cross-section allows MLDPU-004 to be installed in narrow spaces — around the perimeter of ceiling niches, light coves, built-in cornices, and transitions between levels of multi-level ceilings. Where a wider molding physically does not fit or looks overloaded, the 15 mm thin profile works flawlessly.
Decor for mirrors and paintings. MLDPU-004 molding is used to create built-in wall frames around mirrors, paintings, and decorative panels. The thin profile creates an elegant frame that looks like part of the wall architecture — especially with monochrome painting.
Interior styles where MLDPU-004 works flawlessly
Modern neoclassicism. Monochrome walls with frame decor made from 15 mm molding are the hallmark of modern neoclassicism. Walls in living rooms, bedrooms, and hallways, structured with such frames and painted in a single rich color, instantly transform a standard room into a space with designer character.
French style and Provence. In romantic interiors, thin frames on pastel walls are a mandatory element. MLDPU-004 molding with a width of 15 mm perfectly matches the scale of such interiors: it creates the desired atmosphere of an old French house without overloading the space.
Scandinavian style and minimalism. In laconic interiors, any decorative element must be justified. The thin 15 mm molding gives walls architectural rhythm without violating the overall purity and simplicity of Scandinavian space. This works especially effectively in interiors with white or light gray walls.
Art Deco. Strict rectangular frames made from a thin profile are one of the basic graphic techniques of Art Deco. With contrasting painting — white molding on a dark wall or dark molding on a light one — the decor acquires the graphic sharpness characteristic of this style.
Shabby chic and romantic style. The delicate 15 mm profile looks organic in interiors with distressed white furniture, linen textiles, and fresh flowers. Frame decor made from MLDPU-004 adds tenderness and historicity to walls without excessive lushness.
Installation of MLDPU-004: precision, speed, result
The compact cross-section of the molding makes it one of the easiest-to-install profiles in the STAVROS range. The low weight and flexibility of the strip simplify work even with non-standard surfaces.
Marking is the foundation of the result. When working with thin molding, precise marking is especially important: the thinner the profile, the more noticeable any deviation from horizontal or vertical will be. Use a laser level or a long spirit level. For marking frames on large walls, stretch a chalk line between control points.
Cutting at 45 degrees. The thin profile is cut with a sharply sharpened utility knife in a miter box. The knife movement should be confident and single-axis — without sawing or rocking. After cutting, check the joint: the two halves of the corner should close tightly without a visible gap. If necessary, trim the cut with fine P220 sandpaper.
Adhesive and pressure. Apply mounting adhesive in a thin strip along the center of the back surface of the molding. For strips up to 600 mm long, three dots of adhesive are sufficient. For longer pieces — a continuous strip with a 5 mm indentation from the ends. Press the strip against the marking for 30–40 seconds. For horizontal sections, secure with painter's tape.
Joints and finishing. White acrylic sealant is applied into corner joints with a fine needle or toothpick for precise application on the narrow profile. Smooth with a damp finger and let dry. After sanding with P320, the joints become almost invisible.
Painting. MLDPU-004 molding is painted together with the wall — this is fast, efficient, and gives a monolithic result. For contrasting painting, use painter's tape 6–8 mm wide — exactly such tape gives a perfect line along the edge of the 15 mm profile.
Combination with other STAVROS moldings and decor
MLDPU-004 is one of the most frequently used elements in composite decorative systems by STAVROS. It serves as the inner contour of double frames, where the outer profile is MLDPU-002 or MLDPU-003. In triple frame systems, MLDPU-004 occupies an intermediate or inner position, creating the effect of a multi-level classical frame.
In combination with STAVROS corner decorative blocks, the thin molding forms precise and beautiful corners without miter cuts — each corner of the frame is adorned with an ornamental accent. STAVROS decorative overlays, scrolls, and floral inserts placed inside a frame made of MLDPU-004 create complete architectural groups in the spirit of classical interior decor.
