More than 20 years on the market
The company's success began in 2002, when two artists — Andrey Ragozin and Evgeny Tsapko — created a small creative workshop for producing wooden carved items. The masters' work was quickly noticed, and within a year they were invited to participate in the reconstruction of the Konstantinovskiy Palace in Strelna.
After the success of this project, the company focused on recreating palace interiors, furniture, church furnishings, and carved decorations in various artistic styles. They worked with cultural heritage sites: The Hermitage, the Alexandrovsky Palace, the Troitsko-Izmaylovsky Cathedral, the Sheremetyevsky Mansion, and many others.
The masters' task — and still is — to create wooden items with the highest level of detail and understanding of every element, based on impeccable knowledge of artistic laws and interior styles.

Baseboard BA100 polystyrene HI WOOD — premium solution for elite interiors
Creating a premium-class interior requires using architectural elements of appropriate scale, which emphasize the significance of the space and create a monumental impression.Polystyrene baseboardModels BA100 from the South Korean manufacturer HI WOOD with dimensions 100 × 17 × 2000 mm represent a premium high-profile design, specifically developed for spacious rooms with high ceilings, country residences, luxury apartments, and prestigious public spaces. ThisPolystyrene floor baseboardcombines a maximum height of 100 mm, creating a powerful visual impact and monumental framing, with an increased thickness of 17 mm, ensuring exceptional structural rigidity, absolute reliability of mounting, and durability for decades.
A height of 100 mm represents the maximum size in the HI WOOD baseboard line and belongs to the category of premium high-profile designs, intended for spacious rooms with large areas and ceiling heights of 3 meters and above. Such imposing height creates a monumental architectural framing of colossal scale, visually structuring the space along the perimeter, dramatically emphasizing the room’s scale, imparting the interior with the most respectable, prestigious character, and creating an indelible sense of solidity, reliability, prestige, and the highest status. A 100 mm profile becomes a dominant, independent architectural design element of premium class, which defines the character of the entire interior, sets the tone for space decoration, and creates a memorable impression for visitors.
A thickness of 17 mm makes the BA100 baseboard the most massive, strong, and reliable in the HI WOOD product line. Maximum thickness is critically important for the record-high 100 mm profile — it ensures exceptional structural rigidity, completely eliminates any warping when mounted on walls with minor irregularities, guarantees absolute resistance to deformation during long-term use, and creates a maximally spacious, reliable mounting surface of 16 mm width for applying sufficient amountadhesive for polystyrene baseboardsand creating the strongest possible connection to the wall. At the same time, the profile does not appear overly massive, bulky, or overwhelming the space due to masterfully balanced section proportions, smooth harmonious transitions between planes, and a balanced height-to-thickness ratio of 5.9:1.
Standard plank length of 2000 mm allows effectively covering the perimeter of spacious, large-area rooms with an optimal, reasonable number of joints, minimizing the number of visible connections and creating a visually seamless, monumental framing of the space along the entire perimeter. The material — phytopolymer (high-density polystyrene, duro-polymer) with density 680 kg/m³ — provides a unique combination of exceptional mechanical strength, minimal weight, and extraordinary durability, even for the maximum, massive profile. One linear meter of BA100 baseboard weighs only about 220 grams, which is 5-7 times less than similar high baseboards made of MDF, solid wood species, or gypsum of comparable height and thickness.
Absolute water resistance of 100% makespolystyrene floor baseboardUniversal for any rooms including wet zones with extreme operating conditions — bathrooms with steam generators, hammams, pools, spa zones. Matte white surface for painting opens up limitless possibilities for implementing the most daring, complex, and sophisticated premium-class design solutions.
Premium-grade phytopolymer from South Korean production
The baseboard BA100 is made of phytopolymer — high-density polystyrene of the latest generation, produced by HI WOOD using a patented South Korean technology with over thirty years of continuous experience in refining production processes, implementing world-class breakthrough technological innovations, and strict multi-stage quality control at every stage of the production cycle, from raw material receipt to packaging of finished products and delivery to the customer. This high-tech thermoplastic polymer is created by high-precision extrusion of molten polystyrene at strictly controlled temperature 200-220°C through a specially designed multi-channel die head with micron-level precision, followed by molding under high pressure 25-30 MPa in special vacuum chambers with programmable multi-stage cooling and precise profile geometry stabilization.
Material density 680 kg/m³ — a critical quality indicator of premium class, ensuring exceptional mechanical strength while maintaining minimal weight, even for the maximum height 100 mm profile with 17 mm thickness. This density is 27-45 times higher than ordinary EPS polystyrene and comparable to the density of solid hardwood species. Such outstanding density provides bending strength of 45-50 MPa, tensile strength of 40-45 MPa, and impact resistance of 10-12 kJ/m².
Water resistance reaches absolute 100% — the material does not absorb water even when fully submerged for 96 hours under laboratory conditions. Water absorption less than 0.1% by mass is practically zero.Polystyrene floor baseboardBA100 can be installed in bathrooms with steam generators, hammams, saunas, pools, spa zones. The material does not swell, does not rot, does not develop mold even at 100% humidity.
Temperature stability covers a range from -50°C to +80°C without property changes. The baseboard does not deform when heated by underfloor heating, radiators, or fireplaces. When cooled, it retains elasticity even at -40°C. Linear expansion coefficient 0.06-0.08 mm per meter for a 10°C temperature change is minimal.
Chemical resistance ensures resistance to water, soap solutions, cleaning agents, weak acids and alkalis, alcohols, oils. It is critically important to remember that polystyrene is incompatible with organic solvents — acetone, toluene, white spirit, gasoline.
Ecological safety is confirmed by the international "Korea Eco-Label" class A+ certification. The material does not contain formaldehyde, phenol, phthalates, heavy metals, asbestos. Does not emit volatile organic compounds (VOC) even when heated to 80°C.
Architectural geometry of maximum profile
Dimensions 100 × 17 mm represent the maximum values in the HI WOOD baseboard line. A height of 100 mm belongs to the category of premium high-profile designs and is the maximum size for decorating elite interiors with high ceilings.
A height of 100 mm provides a colossal visual impact — the baseboard becomes a dominant architectural element that radically structures the space, creates a monumental framing, and imparts the interior with maximum scale, solidity, respectability, and prestige at the highest level. A 100 mm profile most effectively conceals increased technological gaps of 20-25 mm between floor covering and wall in spacious rooms larger than 50 m², masks significant irregularities of up to 15 mm, and provides maximum protection for the lower part of the wall from damage.
The BA100 profile is designed in a classic elegant form with premium-class decorative relief. The front surface features expressive decorative elements — horizontal grooves, channels, and protrusions, creating a rich play of light and shadow, imparting the profile with maximum visual depth and architectural expressiveness. The shape is designed with ergonomics in mind — rounded edges eliminate hazards and facilitate cleaning.
The BA100 profile section is designed in a classic, elegant form with premium-grade decorative relief. The front surface features expressive decorative elements — horizontal stripes, grooves, and protrusions — creating a rich interplay of light and shadow that gives the profile maximum visual depth and architectural expressiveness. The shape is thoughtfully designed with ergonomics in mind — rounded edges eliminate potential hazards and facilitate cleaning.
The construction includes an internal cavity of maximum volume — a functional cable channel approximately 14 mm wide and up to 85 mm high. This spacious cavity can accommodate numerous wires and cables of various purposes with a total cross-section up to 40 mm². This completely eliminates the need to cut grooves in walls.
Standard length of 2000 mm is optimal for transportation and installation. Whentwo strips with one joint cover a 4-meter section, which corresponds to the typical dimensions of spacious rooms in luxury apartments and premium-class private homes.two planks cover a section of 4 meters.

Professional installation technology
Preparation begins with acclimatizing the material in the room for at least 48-72 hours at a temperature of +18...+22°C and humidity of 40-60%. Planks remain in packaging strictly horizontally. The wall surface must be flat with a deviation of no more than 2-3 mm per meter, clean, dry with humidity not exceeding 10%, and degreased.
For mounting the profile of maximum height, useadhesives for polystyrene skirting boardswater-based adhesives of maximum strength: professional acrylic adhesives of the 'liquid nails' type, MS-polymer-based adhesive-sealants with enhanced strength, and the branded adhesive HI WOOD HD1000. Adhesives with solvents are strictly prohibited.
Adhesive is applied to the back of the skirting board as a continuous wavy line over the entire mounting area for maximum connection strength. The skirting board is pressed against the wall and firmly held for 30 seconds over its full 100 mm height.
For the profile of maximum height 100 mm, temporary fixation with painter’s tape at intervals of 25-30 cm is recommended during adhesive polymerization. The tape is removed after 3-4 hours. Full polymerization occurs within 24 hours.
Cutting and corner finishing
