Modern (from the French "moderne" - modern) is an artistic movement of the 19th-20th centuries. Art Nouveau is also called "Art Nouveau" in France and "Tiffany" in the USA. The movement is based on eclecticism: it was marked by the rethinking of old art forms and traditions and the fusion of different types and genres of art.
The characteristic features of Art Nouveau are smooth and curved lines, asymmetric motifs, stained-glass windows, muted colors, as well as ornamentality and decorativeness. Intertwining branches of carved overlays and capitals, as well as balusters decorated with violet petals represent the Modern collection.
