More than 20 years on the market
The company's success began in 2002, when two artists — Andrey Ragozin and Evgeny Tsapko — created a small creative workshop for producing wooden carved items. The masters' work was quickly noticed, and within a year they were invited to participate in the reconstruction of the Konstantinovskiy Palace in Strelna.
After the success of this project, the company focused on recreating palace interiors, furniture, church furnishings, and carved decorations in various artistic styles. They worked with cultural heritage sites: The Hermitage, the Alexandrovsky Palace, the Troitsko-Izmaylovsky Cathedral, the Sheremetyevsky Mansion, and many others.
The masters' task — and still is — to create wooden items with the highest level of detail and understanding of every element, based on impeccable knowledge of artistic laws and interior styles.

Baseboard B126 from polystyrene HI WOOD — exclusive profile of extreme height
Decorating a grand interior with very high ceilings requires the use of architectural elements of extreme dimensions, which emphasize the grandeur of the space and create a monumental impression.Polystyrene baseboardModels B126 from the South Korean manufacturer HI WOOD with dimensions 126 × 16 × 2000 mm represent an exclusive profile of extreme height with a smooth minimalist surface, specially designed for spacious rooms of colossal area with ceiling heights from 4 meters and above, elite residences of grand scale, palaces, castle-style mansions, representative public spaces, and premium-class objects of the highest level. ThisPolystyrene floor baseboardcombines extreme record height of 126 mm, creating a colossal visual impact and grand monumental framing of the space, with optimal thickness of 16 mm, ensuring increased structural rigidity and secure mounting.
Height of 126 mm represents an extreme maximum dimension exceeding 12.5 centimeters and belongs to exclusive premium profiles of the highest level, intended for spacious rooms of colossal area with very high ceilings from 4 to 6 meters. Such record extreme height creates a grand architectural framing of monumental scale, visually structuring the space around the entire perimeter of a large area, maximally emphasizing grandeur, significance, and colossal scale, imparting a high representative character to the interior and creating an indelible impression of monumentality, solidity, reliability, prestige, and elite status of the owner. A profile of 126 mm becomes an absolutely dominant architectural element of the highest premium class, actively shaping the character of the entire space and setting the tone for elite decoration.
Thickness of 16 mm represents an increased value that ensures maximum enhanced rigidity of the extreme profile with height of 126 mm and creates a reliable wide mounting surface for applying sufficient amount ofadhesive for polystyrene baseboards. This thickness is critically important for the maximum profile — it unconditionally guarantees that the baseboard will not bend during installation even on walls with unevenness up to 4-5 mm, reliably maintains the specified shape after installation and creates a strong durable connection with the wall throughout the entire height of 126 mm.
The distinctive feature of model B126 is a smooth minimalist laconic surface without decorative relief, figurative elements, or ornaments. This fundamental feature makes the profile maximally universal and compatible with any interior styles, from strict modern minimalism to elegant classicism. The smooth laconic surface emphasizes the purity of lines, creates a sense of order and modernity even at extreme height of 126 mm.
The production material — phytopolymer (high-density polystyrene) with density 680 kg/m³ — provides a unique combination of exceptional strength and relatively low weight even for the maximum profile 126 × 16 mm. One linear meter of baseboard B126 weighs only about 270-280 grams, which is 5-7 times less than similar extremely high baseboards made of MDF or wood. Standard plank length of 2000 mm allows effectively covering the perimeter of spacious rooms of huge area.
Premium-grade phytopolymer from South Korean production
The base of baseboard B126 is phytopolymer — high-density polystyrene of the latest generation, produced by the company HI WOOD using a patented South Korean technology with more than thirty years of continuous experience in refining production processes, implementing breakthrough global technological innovations, and strict multi-stage quality control at every stage of the production cycle, from raw material receipt to packaging of finished product and delivery to the customer.
Material density 680 kg/m³ — a critical quality indicator of premium class, ensuring exceptional mechanical strength while maintaining minimal weight even for the extreme profile with height of 126 mm and thickness of 16 mm. This outstanding density is 27-45 times higher than ordinary EPS polystyrene and is fully comparable to the density of hardwoods such as oak (650-750 kg/m³). Such outstanding record density ensures bending strength of 45-50 MPa, tensile strength of 40-45 MPa, flexural modulus of 2500-3000 MPa, and impact toughness of 10-12 kJ/m², which is fully comparable or even exceeds the characteristics of many species of natural wood.
Water resistance of phytopolymer reaches absolute maximum 100% — the material does not absorb water even after prolonged immersion for 96 hours and more under laboratory conditions. Water absorption within 24 hours is less than 0.1% by mass, which is practically zero and dozens of times lower than the indicators of all alternative materials.Polystyrene floor baseboardBaseboard B126 can be installed absolutely without hesitation in the most extreme conditions of high humidity. The material absolutely does not swell from moisture, does not deform under humidity fluctuations from 20% to 100%, does not rot and does not develop mold, fungus, or moss even under constant dampness.
Material temperature stability covers the widest possible range from extremely low -50°C to high +80°C without any change in the physical, mechanical, geometric, or aesthetic properties of the product. The baseboard does not soften, does not deform, does not lose mechanical strength under prolonged heating. The linear thermal expansion coefficient is only 0.06-0.08 mm per meter for a 10°C temperature change — the minimum value among all construction materials, practically eliminating the appearance of gaps at joints.
Chemical resistance of phytopolymer ensures resistance to the overwhelming majority of household substances. The material absolutely does not react with water, soap solutions, water-based cleaning agents, weak acids and alkalis, salt solutions, alcohols, oils and fats. It is critically important to remember that polystyrene is absolutely incompatible with organic solvents.
Ecological safety of HI WOOD products is confirmed by the prestigious international "Korea Eco-Label" certification — the highest possible class A+ eco-label. The material is guaranteed to contain no formaldehyde, phenol, phthalates, heavy metals, asbestos. Does not emit volatile organic compounds VOC even when heated to 80°C. Phytopolymer is chemically absolutely inert, odorless, hypoallergenic, and absolutely safe for health of all population groups.
Architectural geometry of extreme smooth profile
Dimensions 126 × 16 mm represent extreme values and are the result of long-term architectural research, design development, and practical testing. Height of 126 mm belongs to the category of exclusive maximum premium profiles, intended for spacious rooms of huge area with very high ceilings from 4 to 6 meters, characteristic of elite suburban residences of grand scale, palaces, castles, representative halls of major corporations, monumental architecture bank buildings, museums with high vaults, theaters, cathedrals, and other public buildings of cultural significance.
Height of 126 mm provides colossal grand visual impact — the baseboard becomes an absolutely dominant architectural element of monumental character. The extreme height profile of 126 mm most effectively hides increased technological compensatory gaps of 30-35 mm between floor covering and wall in spacious rooms with area over 150 m², reliably masks significant unevenness of junction up to 20-25 mm and creates maximum possible protection for the lower part of the wall to record height over 12 centimeters.
Thickness of 16 mm ensures increased rigidity of the extreme profile with height of 126 mm. This thickness creates a reliable mounting surface of about 15 mm width for applying sufficient amount of mounting adhesive. The profile cross-section B126 is designed in minimalist modern laconic form with absolutely smooth flat front surface. Smooth laconic surface maximally emphasizes purity of architectural lines, creates a sense of ideal order and modernity.
Profile shape is meticulously designed with ergonomics in mind — all transitions are smooth, rounded edges eliminate risk of injury. The construction of baseboard B126 includes an internal cavity of maximum volume — functional cable channel with width of about 13 mm and height up to 110 mm. In this spacious cavity, numerous wires and cables with total cross-section up to 45 mm² can be placed. This completely eliminates the need for labor-intensive wall grooving.
Standard plank length of 2000 mm is optimal for transportation and carrying by one person due to weight of about 270-280 grams per linear meter. Whentwo strips with one joint cover a 4-meter section, which corresponds to the typical dimensions of spacious rooms in luxury apartments and premium-class private homes.two planks cover a section of 4 meters.

Professional installation technology
Preparation for installing extreme baseboard begins with mandatory acclimatization of material for at least 72 hours at temperature +18...+22°C. Wall surface must be perfectly flat, clean, dry, and degreased. For mounting extreme profile, useadhesives for polystyrene skirting boardsWater-based adhesive with maximum strength.
Adhesive is applied in a generous layer to the entire mounting surface. The skirting board is pressed against the wall and held for 30-40 seconds over its full height of 126 mm. For an extreme profile, temporary fixation with painter's tape at 20-25 cm intervals is required. The tape is removed after 4-6 hours. Full polymerization occurs within 24-48 hours.
