Why is wood interior decoration so popular now?

Designers have highly appreciated the use of wood for decorating car interiors. Indeed, using inserts made of this material turns the vehicle into a luxury item. Even in retro cars, you can see details made of real wood. Using this finishing method, the car becomes creative, modern, and truly unique. Thus, designers have gained the opportunity to showcase their creative talents.

This car decoration is typically placed on:

  • Steering wheel;
  • Front panel;
  • Doors;
  • Transmission box surface.

This car interior is considered a complex technological method for improving the vehicle, but it is currently recognized as the most aesthetic direction in design art.

What wood-like solutions exist for cars?

This type of finishing comes in two varieties:

  1. Imitation of expensive wood species. Does not require significant financial investment and does not cause difficulties in application. Each individual part is covered with a special film, and if using water-based printing, a lacquer is applied to the surface. Carbon film can also be used, but it is expensive and cannot accurately replicate the real wood grain. A construction hair dryer is used to apply it.
  2. Real wood. It is a more complex and labor-intensive option, but very beautiful and eco-friendly. As a simpler method of car decoration, veneers are used. They are attached to the console using clips. A more complex technological process involves covering car elements with veneer of valuable species, such as walnut, amaranth, Karelian birch, or palisander.

Wooden details can highlight the status of the car owner. It is a respectable, luxurious, expensive, and high-quality finish, giving the car a unique interior design.

Wooden details give the car either a special chic or exotic look, but they always provide it with style, brightness, and individuality.
