More than 20 years on the market

The company's success began in 2002, when two artists — Andrey Ragozin and Evgeny Tsapko — created a small creative workshop for producing wooden carved items. The masters' work was quickly noticed, and within a year they were invited to participate in the reconstruction of the Konstantinovskiy Palace in Strelna.

After the success of this project, the company focused on recreating palace interiors, furniture, church furnishings, and carved decorations in various artistic styles. They worked with cultural heritage sites: The Hermitage, the Alexandrovsky Palace, the Troitsko-Izmaylovsky Cathedral, the Sheremetyevsky Mansion, and many others.

The masters' task — and still is — to create wooden items with the highest level of detail and understanding of every element, based on impeccable knowledge of artistic laws and interior styles.

Molded Decoration CPU.VRS-055.1 — a monumental panel for high-classical interiors

A horizontal panel that transforms the scale of space

Molded Decoration CPU.VRS-055.1 is a monumental horizontal decorative composition with a width of 1550 mm, created for interiors where walls must speak the language of high classicism. This is not a separate finishing element — it is a full-fledged architectural panel, comprising several independent decorative components assembled into a single, complete system: a frame molding, corner overlays, small corner accents, and a luxurious central ornament with lush Baroque relief. It was precisely such horizontal panels that adorned the state halls of French castles, the reception rooms of aristocratic mansions, and the palace drawing rooms of the Louis XVI era — they were installed above fireplace portals, along the walls of ballrooms, above sofa groups in boudoirs, and above the headboards of state beds. Today, the same aesthetic of monumental palace molding is available in any residential or commercial space thanks to high-quality polyurethane and MDF — materials that reproduce the relief and plasticity of genuine molded work with absolute precision. Before you is a product that alone can completely change the character of an interior — giving it scale, plastic richness, and that elusive sense of architectural dignity that distinguishes a truly significant space from a merely beautifully decorated room.

Panel composition: a system of elements working as a single whole

The CPU.VRS-055.1 decoration is a composite product in which each component performs its own architectural role and, together with the others, forms a complete ornamental system. The horizontal frame is formed by the MLD-001-MG molding with a 10×6 mm profile — thin, elegant, it sets a clear geometric contour for the entire composition and serves as the supporting line to which all other ornamental elements are attached. At the four corners of the frame, corner overlays NPU.VRS-003-2.1L and NPU.VRS-003-2.1R measuring 138×89 mm are installed — mirrored left and right versions of the same ornamental motif with characteristic Baroque scrolls and acanthus leaves, which enliven the corner transitions and give the frame sculptural expressiveness. Additionally, small accent elements NPU.VRS-008.1L and NPU.VRS-008.1R measuring 50×20 mm are installed in the corners — thin decorative inserts that refine the corner joints and add ornamental detailing at the intersection of the molding's horizontal and vertical lines. The main semantic and visual center of the entire composition is the central molded ornament NPU.VRS-006 measuring 1067×352 mm — a grand horizontally unfolded decoration with lush relief that occupies the inner space of the frame and carries the entire ornamental narrative of the product. All components are supplied primed and fully ready for final painting.

Central ornament: a symphony of acanthus, shells, and floral garlands

The central element NPU.VRS-006 is what the entire product is created for. Measuring 1067×352 mm, with a relief depth of up to 23 mm, it is a horizontally unfolded Baroque arabesque, symmetrically arranged relative to the central axis. At the very heart of the ornament is a complex central motif: a large shell-palmette with characteristic vertical ribs — one of the oldest symbols of European decorative culture, passed from antiquity through the Renaissance to the Baroque — crowned with a tuft of acanthus, from which two powerful stems with curling tendrils symmetrically diverge. These tendrils do not simply spread to the sides — they unfold, twist, branch, giving birth to new leaves, buds, and flowers: roses with open petals, berry clusters, unopened buds on thin stems, flower heads with meticulously detailed stamens. Closer to the edges of the ornament, the density of floral garlands increases — classic garland motifs characteristic of the decorative plasticity of late Baroque and early Classicism — which gradually transition into acanthus scrolls, meeting the corner overlays of the frame. The upper part of the ornament is crowned with a vertical acanthus plume, which serves as a kind of 'crown' for the entire composition and sets its maximum height point. The lower part symmetrically mirrors the upper in a simplified version — a small pendant motif closes the composition from below, ensuring its visual completeness. The entire ornament is executed with exceptional care: every leaf, every petal, every scroll has its own volume and clear boundary — the relief reads clearly and in detail under both daylight and evening lighting.

Product technical parameters

The overall dimensions of the CPU.VRS-055.1 decoration are 1550 × 460 × 23 mm — width 1550 mm, height 460 mm, maximum relief depth 23 mm. The internal frame clearance horizontally is 1280 mm, vertically — 180 mm gap between the molding and the center of the ornament. Corner elements NPU.VRS-003-2.1L/R measure 138×89 mm, small corner accents NPU.VRS-008.1L/R — 50×20 mm, central ornament NPU.VRS-006 — 1067×352 mm, molding MLD-001-MG — profile 10×6 mm. The product material is high-density polyurethane combined with primed MDF. MDF is used as a load-bearing base for large flat elements, ensuring rigidity and geometric stability of the panel as a whole, while polyurethane reproduces all ornamental relief details with maximum plastic precision. All product surfaces are factory-primed and ready for final paint application without additional processing.

Polyurethane and MDF: a duo of materials with complementary properties

The use of a combination of polyurethane and MDF in one product is a deliberate structural solution that allows extracting the best from both materials. Medium-density MDF ensures geometric stability for large flat panels: this material does not warp, does not dry out, does not react to seasonal humidity fluctuations within the normal range of residential use, and maintains perfectly straight planes and right angles throughout the product's service life. The MDF surface sands, primes, and paints well — the final coating applies evenly, without pinholes or variations. High-density polyurethane, from which all ornamental relief details are made, possesses a completely different set of advantages: it is lightweight, impact-resistant, completely waterproof, chemically inert, and capable of reproducing the finest details of sculptural form with a precision previously available only to master plasterers working by hand. The water absorption coefficient of polyurethane is less than one percent — the material practically does not react to a humid environment, does not swell, and does not lose shape. The temperature range for stable operation of polyurethane components is from −60°C to +100°C. The biological inertness of both materials prevents mold and fungus formation. The estimated service life of the product, subject to installation and operating conditions, is at least 30–50 years.

Where this panel lives: application scenes in the interior

The horizontal format of the CPU.VRS-055.1 decoration, with a width of 1550 mm, opens up a whole range of application scenarios, each of which is effective and functionally justified in its own way. The most traditional and historically correct place for such a panel is above a fireplace portal. In a classic interior, the fireplace wall is the main architectural dominant of the room, and a monumental horizontal panel above the portal completes this dominant, gives it a formal character, and creates a visual focal point around which all other room furnishings are arranged. No less expressively, the panel works above a bed headboard in a bedroom: with a standard double bed width of 160–180 cm, a product width of 155 cm precisely matches the dimensions of the sleeping area and forms an impressive decorative 'crown' above the headboard — a technique characteristic of bedrooms in French classic, Empire, and Neoclassical styles. In a living room, the panel is organically placed above a sofa or sofa group — it sets the upper boundary of the relaxation zone and structures the space vertically, creating a sense of intimacy and coziness in a large open volume. In a dining room, the product is installed above a sideboard, serving table, or as an independent decorative accent on the wall opposite the dining table — where the eyes of guests seated for a meal are directed. In a hallway or gallery, the panel creates rhythmic segmentation of a long wall, breaking the monotony of horizontal space into expressive architectural sections.

Interior styles in which the product's character is revealed

The ornamental language of the CPU.VRS-055.1 decoration is rooted in the tradition of European Baroque and Rococo, but its area of application is significantly broader than one stylistic direction. In classic and neoclassical styles, this product is a key element of architectural decor — it is installed within a system of wall molding divisions, cornices, and pilasters, forming a monumental formal ensemble in the spirit of Versailles or Pavlovsk Palace interiors. In the Empire style, the horizontal format of the panel and the rich relief of the central ornament fit into the characteristic aesthetic of monumentality and solemnity for this direction — the product looks especially expressive with a gold or bronze patina on a dark wall background. In the Provencal and French country styles, the panel in an aged white or cream finish creates a sense of an authentic provincial château with a history of several generations — the soft floral garlands and unobtrusive lushness of the ornament are completely organic for this aesthetic. In modern classic and transitional styles, the monumental horizontal panel serves as the sole, yet impeccably weighty, decorative statement on a clean wall plane — it does not overload the space but unequivocally sets its cultural and stylistic context. In luxurious apartments and luxury-class interiors, the CPU.VRS-055.1 product with a gold patina becomes a full-fledged art object, comparable in visual weight to a large-format painting.

Color solutions and finishing techniques

The product's supply in a primed state opens complete freedom in choosing the final finish. The strictest and fail-safe solution is to paint the panel white to match the wall: the relief is then read exclusively through the play of shadows, creating a subtle, refined sculptural effect without color contrast. This technique is especially good in light interiors with plenty of natural light — under bright side lighting, the 23 mm deep relief of the ornament casts expressive shadows that 'animate' the surface throughout the day as the sun moves. Contrast painting — for example, a cream or ivory panel on a wall of warm gray or taupe — brings the product to the foreground and turns it into an unconditional visual dominant of the room. A gold patina applied to the protruding parts of the relief over a white or cream base imitates the gilding technique on genuine molding and gives the interior a formal, solemn character — this technique is especially effective under evening lighting when spotlights make the gold shimmer and gleam. A silver patina combined with cool gray-blue wall shades creates a more restrained, modern image — aristocratic without pomp. The technique of double toning — dark umber or sienna in the recesses of the relief and a light color on the protrusions — creates the illusion of aged molding with centuries of history and is one of the most sought-after professional techniques in high-class interior decoration. The MDF and polyurethane surfaces equally well accept acrylic, alkyd, and nitro enamels, oil paints, and special decorative glazing compounds.

Installation of a large-format panel: work procedure

Installing a product measuring 1550 × 460 mm requires somewhat more careful preparation compared to mounting small decorative elements, but with the correct sequence of actions, the work is feasible on your own without involving a professional crew. The first and most important step is precise wall marking. The horizontal axis of the panel must be verified with a spirit level with particular care: with a product width of 1550 mm, any deviation from horizontal will be noticeable to the naked eye. The central vertical of the panel is marked at the center of the wall or at the center of the architectural element above which the decoration is installed — fireplace, bed, sofa. The wall surface must be clean, dry, and level — significant irregularities exceeding 5 mm are recommended to be leveled with filler beforehand, as with a large base contact area, wall unevenness can create gaps noticeable under side lighting. Mounting adhesive — high-adhesion polymer, such as liquid nails or specialized MDF adhesive — is applied to the back of the panel in a serpentine pattern with a 10–12 cm spacing. Additionally, in four to six points, it is recommended to use dowels with decorative caps or self-tapping screws with subsequent hole filling — this secures the large-format product against gradual detachment under its own weight. The product is applied according to the markings and held pressed for at least 60 seconds. If necessary, the position is corrected immediately, within the first few seconds after application. The joints between the panel and the wall are sealed with white acrylic sealant, after which the entire surface is painted in the final color in a single coat — the seam becomes completely invisible.

Combination with other elements of architectural decor

The CPU.VRS-055.1 product is created for interiors with a developed decorative program, in which each furnishing element is coordinated with the others. The horizontal panel works most expressively surrounded by supporting architectural details: a ceiling cornice or frieze creates the upper frame of the space and echoes the horizontal rhythm of the panel, pilasters or vertical moldings on the sides form the side framing, a baseboard with a developed profile completes the lower boundary. In a wall decor system of the boiserie class, the CPU.VRS-055.1 panel occupies the position of the main accent element — its scale and relief richness inherently surpass all other components of the system, and it is precisely around it that the entire remaining decorative row is built. Wall sconce lights with gilded fittings, installed symmetrically on the sides of the panel, multiply its decorative effect: evening lighting reveals the depth of the relief, making the ornament live in shadows and highlights. A mirror in a classic frame, placed above the panel, creates a sense of enfilade space. Paintings in frames, symmetrically placed on the sides of the central decoration, build a unified gallery wall with rhythm and logic. Decorative vases, candelabras, or sculptures on a console beneath the panel complete the vertical composition and give it an 'earthly' support.

Care, restoration, and durability

The combined product made of polyurethane and MDF does not require specialized technical maintenance throughout its service life under normal residential conditions. For everyday surface cleaning, a soft, slightly damp cloth or a soft brush with natural bristles is sufficient — dust and light dirt are removed without any effort. For more serious soiling, the use of neutral soap solutions and household universal cleaners without abrasive components and aggressive solvents is permitted. Polyurethane components are moisture-resistant and, in case of accidental water contact, do not require immediate drying — the material does not absorb liquid or swell. MDF components should be protected from prolonged direct contact with water and from installation in rooms with constantly high humidity levels — in these cases, fully polyurethane versions should be preferred. In case of mechanical damage — a chip, scratch, or small crack — repair is performed with acrylic filler: the defect is filled, sanded with fine-grit sandpaper, and painted to match the main coating. The result of local repair, with a professional approach, is completely invisible. The product's service life under normal operating conditions ranges from thirty to fifty years — the relief does not wear away, the shape does not deform, and the color of the final coating, if necessary, is easily renewed by repainting.
