Company Development History

The company was founded in 2002 by a group of artists — Andrei Ragozin, Alexander and Evgeny Tsapko. Initially, it was a small creative collective engaged in hand-carved woodwork. The masters were invited to participate in the restoration of interiors of the Konstantinovskiy Palace (known as the Congress Palace) in Strelna, Saint Petersburg.

In 2007, LLC 'Stavros' was established and the company's trademark was registered. At this time, production areas were expanded to 250 square meters, the first CNC milling machine was purchased, and the staff was increased to 16 people.

In 2009, the company signed a contract for supplying products to the 'Leroy Merlin' retail network, which includes more than 20 stores across Russia. Stavros continued participating in important cultural projects: restoration of the Main Iconostasis of the Trinity Cathedral in Saint Petersburg and recreation of carved decoration for the State Hermitage.

In early 2015, Stavros began producing polyurethane items and opened a branch in Moscow. In this year, the company participated in the project to restore the Iconostasis in the M.G. Savinova Theater Veterans' House.

In 2018, Stavros created an export department and began supplying products to more than 25 countries worldwide — USA, Italy, UAE, Mexico, France, Spain, Germany, and others.

In 2020, Stavros opened a showroom and warehouse in Moscow, increasing warehouse and production areas to 6,000 sq. m.

In 2021, the company's masters completed the restoration of interiors of the Alexandrovsky Palace in Pushkin, where the company was engaged in recreating lost interiors of four halls and seven double doors.

In 2023, Stavros expanded its product range, beginning the production of original wooden handles from the company's masters and designers, as well as offering metal door and furniture handles from well-known European brands.

Production

During its operations, Stavros uses modern equipment, including 3-, 4-, and 5-axis woodworking machines with CNC, strictly adhering to quality standards in product manufacturing. Production is carried out in accordance with the technical specifications ST_TU 18.8-MD_01-002-2018.

Stavros cooperates with the best Russian timber companies, using only technologically properly dried wood with 'furniture moisture' 8 (±2)%. The main material for producing items is solid beech, oak, linden, and pine wood. An automatic air humidification system is used.

Each workshop has its own quality control system, ensuring high product quality at all production stages. The multi-stage quality control system allows ensuring compliance with high standards.

  • Participation in the reconstruction of the Smolny Cathedral in St. Petersburg.

  • Restoration of the Cathedral of the Holy and Undivided Trinity of the Leib-Guard Izmailovsky Regiment after the fire in 2006.

  • Restoration of the iconostasis in the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the M. G. Savinova Theater Veterans' House in 2013.

  • Production of an iconostasis for the church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in the city of Kirishi.

  • Creation of a choir for the Resurrection Smolny Cathedral in 2017.

  • Development and production of decoration for the iconostasis of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God church in the village of Shexsna in 2018 — one of the largest and most complex projects of the company, requiring a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Participation in the First Channel TV program 'To the Country' with Natalia Barbey

In August 2020, the company Stavros and its head, Andrei Ragozin, participated in the program FirstChannel 'Na dachu' with Natasha BarbeyStavros quickly crafted for actress Nina Usatova's dacha a carved wooden decoration in Russian style. An important element of the exterior were decorative lace-like window casings made of pine, installed in two layers, framing the windows and roof of the house, an elegant "towel" and a wooden owl, which Stavros presented to the artist as a compliment.
