More than 20 years on the market
The company's success began in 2002, when two artists — Andrey Ragozin and Evgeny Tsapko — created a small creative workshop for producing wooden carved items. The masters' work was quickly noticed, and within a year they were invited to participate in the reconstruction of the Konstantinovskiy Palace in Strelna.
After the success of this project, the company focused on recreating palace interiors, furniture, church furnishings, and carved decorations in various artistic styles. They worked with cultural heritage sites: The Hermitage, the Alexandrovsky Palace, the Troitsko-Izmaylovsky Cathedral, the Sheremetyevsky Mansion, and many others.
The masters' task — and still is — to create wooden items with the highest level of detail and understanding of every element, based on impeccable knowledge of artistic laws and interior styles.

Crown M1702 POLYSTYRENE HI WOOD 70mm x 18mm x 2.0m — an elegant solution for modern minimalist interiors
The ceiling crown M1702 from the South Korean brand HI WOOD is a high-tech product made of high-density polystyrene with unique proportions: height 70mm and minimum width of only 18mm. ThisPolystyrene Cornicelength of 2000mm is designed specifically for modern interiors where the appreciation of minimalist forms and visual lightness of decorative elements is valued. The snow-white smooth surface of the crown creates an elegant transition between the wall and ceiling without bulkiness, giving the interior architectural completeness and refined elegance.
The asymmetrical profile construction with a height of 70 millimeters and a width of only 18 millimeters provides a noticeable vertical accent with minimal projection onto the ceiling. This makesceiling cornice polystyreneM1702 an ideal choice for rooms of any height, where a striking decorative element is required without visually reducing the ceiling area. The minimalist geometry of the profile forms a clear vertical line, emphasizing the boundary between planes and creating a visual height increase effect of 8-12 centimeters.
The weight of a two-meter plank is only 120-140 grams, making the product exceptionally lightweight and significantly simplifying installation to the utmost simplicity. Installation is performed by one person without assistants using a minimal amount of mounting adhesive due to the narrow contact area with surfaces. The profile's construction features allow compensation for wall irregularities up to 3-4 millimeters, reducing requirements for base preparation quality.
Innovative technologies for producing a narrow profile from HI WOOD
The South Korean company HI WOOD applies advanced extrusion technologies to produce the crown M1702 with unique proportions. Premium-grade polystyrene polymer mass melted at 185-195 degrees Celsius is extruded through a specially designed narrow-profile die made of tempered steel with geometric dimension accuracy down to 0.02 millimeters. This ensures perfect profile repeatability along the entire length of the plank without any deviations, which is critical for narrow products.
MaterialDecorative cornices made of polystyreneM1702 has a density of 37-40 kg/m³, providing an optimal balance between lightness and mechanical strength of the narrow profile. Closed-pore structure with pore size of 0.08-0.12 millimeters creates a strong frame capable of withstanding mechanical loads during transportation and installation despite the minimal thickness of the product. UV stabilizers of the latest generation prevent material yellowing under sunlight exposure, preserving the snow-white color throughout the 28-32 year service life.
Moisture resistance of polystyrene makesinstallation of decorative cornices made of polystyreneM1702 is a universal solution for any room. Water absorption coefficient does not exceed 1.5 percent after 24 hours of full immersion in water, eliminating deformation even under extreme humidity conditions. The product maintains stable geometric dimensions within a relative humidity range of 10 to 98 percent.
Polystyrene's temperature stability ensures flawless operation in the range from minus 40 to plus 80 degrees Celsius. The cornice does not crack in cold and does not deform in heat. The linear thermal expansion coefficient is 0.07 mm/m per degree, which at a plank length of 2000 millimeters results in a size change of only 0.14 mm over a 20-degree temperature variation, practically eliminating thermal deformations.
Mechanical strength of the narrow profile is achieved through an optimized molecular structure of polystyrene with increased polymer chain concentration. The bending strength limit is 2.3-2.7 MPa, ensuring product reliability.Cornices Barnaul polystyreneM1702 withstands moderate mechanical loads without forming dents or cracks despite the minimal profile width.
Universal application in interiors of various styles
Modern minimalist interiors with the philosophy 'less is more' find their ideal embodiment in the crown M1702. The narrow profile width of only 18 millimeters creates a delicate transition between wall and ceiling without visual bulkiness. The height of 70 millimeters ensures sufficient visibility of the element for decorative purposes.Barnaul polystyrene decorative corniceM1702 harmoniously combines with minimalist furniture, clean geometric forms, neutral color palettes of modern spaces.
Scandinavian interiors with characteristic light palettes, natural materials, and restrained decor are perfectly complemented by the snow-white crown M1702. The product emphasizes ceiling height, creates a sense of airiness and spaciousness, without overloading space with excessive details. The narrow profile preserves the light perception characteristic of Scandinavian aesthetics. Coloring in natural shades of gray, beige, mint integrates the crown into the natural palette of Nordic style.
Urban loft spaces with open communications and industrial textures benefit from the contrast between the elegant white crown and deliberately rough surfaces of brick, concrete, and metal structures. The narrow profile does not compete with dominant loft architectural elements, serving exclusively as a functional role of neat joint framing. Coloring in dark graphite or black shades enhances the industrial aesthetic of the space.
Japanese minimalism with Zen philosophy principles and emphasis on emptiness as a compositional element finds expression in the crown M1702. The restrained form, absence of decorative excesses, and purity of lines create an atmosphere of calm and harmony. The narrow profile does not disrupt the visual balance of space, serving as a delicate framing of plane boundaries.Barnaul polystyrene cornice purchasefor creating an authentic Japanese interior becomes an optimal solution.
High-tech interiors with technological forms, metallic surfaces, glass elements use the crown M1702 as a precise graphic accent. The clear geometry of the profile corresponds to the aesthetics of high technology. Coloring with metallic paints in chrome, steel, aluminum integrates the crown into the concept of a technological space. The narrow width emphasizes the precision and accuracy of all interior elements.
Office spaces in modern business centers with requirements for minimalism and functionality find a universal solution in the crown M1702. Neutral design without excessive decoration creates a professional atmosphere. The narrow profile does not attract unnecessary attention, maintaining focus on work processes. The ease of installation allows quickly finishing large open space office areas with minimal labor and time expenditure.
Art galleries and exhibition spaces usePlinth cornices from polystyrene foamM1702 to create a neutral framing that does not compete with exhibited artworks. The snow-white color and minimalist form serve as a universal background for any artistic objects. The narrow profile does not divert the viewer's attention from the exhibition.
Professional technology for rapid installation of narrow profiles
Surface preparation before installing the crown M1702 requires minimal effort due to the narrow contact area with the base. The installation zone is cleaned of dust, cobwebs, and oily stains using a dry brush or damp sponge. Loose plaster areas are mechanically removed, small dents are filled with gypsum putty. The surface is treated with a deep-penetration primer to strengthen the base and improve adhesive bond.
The installation line is marked using a laser level or plumb line to ensure the profile is strictly horizontal. From the ceiling, the distance equal to the crown height of 70 millimeters minus the compensatory gap of 5-7 millimeters is measured. Control points are marked every 700-800 millimeters and connected by a continuous line. Horizontal alignment is checked using a bubble level at least 1200 millimeters long.
Angular joints are cut using a miter box with 45-degree slots or a circular saw with a fine-toothed blade. For internal angles, the plank ends are cut from opposite sides to ensure tight fitting. The cuts are sanded with fine sandpaper P120 to remove burrs. If the room geometry is not ideal, the cut angle is adjusted using trial fitting methods.
Polystyrene adhesive of the 'liquid nails' type is applied to the back of the crown in a thin dashed line with intervals of 150-200 millimeters. Due to the narrow profile and low weight, minimal adhesive is required. After a 1-2 minute wait, the plank is pressed against the wall with even pressure. The crown is secured with painter's tape for 3-4 hours until the adhesive begins to set.
Straight section joints are made with a minimal gap of 0.5 millimeter. End pieces are cut strictly perpendicular to the profile axis. A thin layer of adhesive is applied to the ends, and the planks are pressed tightly together. The formed joint is filled with white acrylic sealant, excess is removed with a damp sponge. After polymerization, the joint is sanded with fine sandpaper to create a seamless transition.
Final finishing includes filling gaps between the profile and surfaces. Gaps up to 2-3 millimeters wide are filled with acrylic sealant and smoothed. If painting is required, the crown is coated with water-dispersed acrylic paint in two coats using a brush or roller with short nap, with intermediate drying for 4 hours.
The cost of the polystyrene cornice M1702 is 900 rubles per two-meter plank, making it one of the most affordable solutions for decorating modern interiors. The price is 4-6 times lower than wooden cornices made of oak or beech. The savings when decorating a two-room apartment of 55 square meters amount to 8,000-12,000 rubles compared to wooden analogs.
Transportation of narrow cornices does not require special transport due to their exceptional lightness. Packaging of 25-30 planks weighs only 4-5 kilograms and can be transported in a regular bag. Logistics savings amount to 2,000-3,000 rubles when decorating a standard apartment.
The universal white color of the cornice M1702 is an ideal base for implementing minimalist design concepts. Painting to match the ceiling creates a visual height increase effect due to the continuity of the horizontal plane. Painting to match the walls forms a monochromatic solution with a subtle shadow contour.
The cornice M1702 POLYSTYRENE HI WOOD 70mm x 18mm x 2.0m represents an innovative solution from a South Korean manufacturer for modern minimalist interiors, where simplicity of form, visual lightness, and functionality are valued at an affordable price.
