More than 20 years on the market
The company's success began in 2002, when two artists — Andrey Ragozin and Evgeny Tsapko — created a small creative workshop for producing wooden carved items. The masters' work was quickly noticed, and within a year they were invited to participate in the reconstruction of the Konstantinovskiy Palace in Strelna.
After the success of this project, the company focused on recreating palace interiors, furniture, church furnishings, and carved decorations in various artistic styles. They worked with cultural heritage sites: The Hermitage, the Alexandrovsky Palace, the Troitsko-Izmaylovsky Cathedral, the Sheremetyevsky Mansion, and many others.
The masters' task — and still is — to create wooden items with the highest level of detail and understanding of every element, based on impeccable knowledge of artistic laws and interior styles.

Advanced technology for medium-profile production
The material of the crown A70 is produced using continuous extrusion technology of premium-grade South Korean polystyrene raw material with special modifiers that increase density to 38-42 kg/m³. The closed-pore structure with pore size of 0.1-0.15 mm ensures an optimal balance between lightness and mechanical strength of the product. The molten polymer mass at 180-200 degrees Celsius is extruded through a precision-forming die made of high-alloy steel with geometric dimension accuracy up to 0.03 mm, creating a profile with perfectly repeating configuration along the entire length of the plank without any deviations.
Moisture resistance of polystyrene makesinstallation of decorative cornices made of polystyreneA70 is a universal solution for any rooms including bathrooms, kitchens, swimming pools, saunas. The water absorption coefficient does not exceed 1.6 percent after 24 hours of full immersion in water at 23 degrees, completely eliminating deformation, swelling, or loss of decorative qualities even under extreme humidity conditions. The product maintains stable geometric dimensions at relative air humidity ranging from 15 to 98 percent, allowing the crown to be used in any climate zones, from arid steppes to humid tropics.
Polystyrene's temperature stability ensures flawless operation in a range from minus 40 to plus 80 degrees Celsius without changes in the material's physical-mechanical properties. The crown does not crack during freezing, typical for unheated country houses in Siberia and the Far East during winter, and does not deform during heat in overheated attics and roof spaces during summer. The linear thermal expansion coefficient is 0.07 mm/m per degree, which at a plank length of 2000 mm results in a size change of only 0.14 mm over a 20-degree temperature difference, practically eliminating thermal deformations and crack formation at joints.
Mechanical strength of high-density polystyrene is achieved through an optimized molecular structure with increased polymer chain concentration and special reinforcing additives. The bending strength limit is 2.5-2.9 MPa, ensuring high reliability of the product during transportation, storage, and installation.Cornices Barnaul polystyreneA70 withstands moderate mechanical loads without forming dents, chips, or cracks even during accidental impacts during renovation work. The material's elasticity allows compensating for wall irregularities up to 5-6 millimeters without additional leveling with plaster or putty.
Polystyrene's ecological safety is confirmed by international quality certificates ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and sanitary-hygienic conclusions from Russian regulatory authorities Rosconsumnadzor. The material does not contain toxic components, formaldehyde, phenols, heavy metals, volatile organic compounds, or other harmful substances. Under normal operating conditions and up to 80 degrees Celsius, polystyrene maintains chemical stability and does not emit any substances into the environment. The material's hypoallergenic properties allow using crowns in children's rooms, bedrooms, medical facilities, kindergartens, schools without any restrictions.
Universal application in various types of rooms
Residential rooms with standard layouts and ceiling heights of 2.6-2.8 meters represent an ideal application area for crown A70. Living rooms with areas of 18-25 square meters benefit from installing a medium profile, which creates a noticeable architectural accent without visually reducing the space's height. The snow-white crown against colorful walls forms a clear horizontal line, structuring the space and giving the room a sense of completeness.Barnaul polystyrene decorative corniceA70 harmoniously combines with classic and modern furniture, creating a universal frame for any interior style.
Bedrooms and children's rooms with requirements for ecological safety of finishing materials receive an ideal solution in the form of crown A70 made of polystyrene without toxic components. The possibility of painting allows adapting the crown to the color scheme of the children's room using pastel shades of pink, blue, mint, peach, creating a comfortable environment for the child.
Kitchens with high humidity and temperature fluctuations require moisture-resistant finishing materials, and crown A70 made of polystyrene fully meets these requirements. The closed-pore structure of the material prevents absorption of moisture, grease vapors, and food odors. The smooth surface easily cleans with a damp sponge and neutral cleaning agent, maintaining its original whiteness throughout its service life. The crown successfully operates near gas stoves, electric ovens, and cooktops without deformation or color change.
Bathrooms and sanitary rooms with constant high humidity of 70-90 percent present challenging conditions for most finishing materials, butBarnaul polystyrene cornice purchaseA70 demonstrates flawless stability. The material is not susceptible to biological damage by mold, does not swell upon contact with water splashes, and does not lose mechanical strength. The cornice can be installed even in shower cabins, creating an aesthetically pleasing trim at the junction of walls and ceiling in areas of increased humidity.
Office spaces with requirements for decorativeness and cost-effectiveness find an optimal solution in the A70 cornice. The neutral design, free of excessive ornamentation, creates a professional atmosphere without distracting employees and visitors. The ease of installation allows for quickly finishing large open space office areas with minimal labor costs. Moisture resistance and ease of maintenance ensure longevity under intensive use with daily wet cleaning by cleaning services.
Commercial spaces such as restaurants, cafes, shops, and beauty salons receive a universal decorative element for creating an attractive interior within a limited budget. The A70 cornice creates the impression of quality renovation at an affordable cost for materials and labor. The ability to paint in corporate brand colors allows integration of the cornice into the establishment’s branding. Rapid installation minimizes downtime during renovation, which is critical for commercial properties.
Medical facilities with strict requirements for hygiene and ecological safety can use the A70 cornice in patient rooms, offices, corridors, and lobbies. The smooth polystyrene surface has no pores or depressions where dust and bacteria can accumulate. The material withstands disinfecting solutions based on chlorine, alcohol, and hydrogen peroxide without changing color or surface structure. Absence of toxic emissions ensures safety for patients with weakened immunity.
Educational institutions such as kindergartens, schools, colleges, and universities usePlinth cornices from polystyrene foamA70 for decorating classrooms, lecture halls, corridors, and auditoriums. The ecological safety of the material ensures compliance with sanitary norms for childcare facilities. Mechanical strength guarantees durability under intensive use. The neutral design creates a calm working atmosphere conducive to students’ concentration on the educational process.
Professional installation technology for medium-profile cornices
Surface preparation before installing the A70 cornice begins with thorough cleaning of the installation zone from dust, cobwebs, grease stains, and remnants of old coatings. A stiff-bristled dry brush is used to remove loose plaster particles, and a damp sponge is used to degrease the surface. Loose plaster areas with low adhesion are mechanically removed with a trowel or metal brush until a solid base is reached. Cracks and dents are filled with gypsum putty such as Knauf Fugen or equivalents and leveled flush with the main wall surface using a rubber trowel.
After the putty dries for 4-6 hours, the surface is sanded with P100-P120 grit sandpaper to remove ridges and unevenness. The resulting dust is removed with a dry brush or vacuum cleaner with a hard surface attachment. The prepared surface is treated with a deep-penetration primer such as Ceresit ST17 or Knauf Grundirmittel to strengthen the plaster layer and improve adhesive properties of the adhesive composition. The primer is applied with a brush or roller in one coat at a rate of 150-200 grams per square meter and dries in 2-4 hours depending on the room’s temperature and humidity conditions.
The installation line of the cornice is marked using a laser level or hydrolevel to ensure the profile is strictly horizontal along the entire perimeter of the room. The laser level is mounted on a tripod in the center of the room and projects a horizontal line onto all walls. From the projected line, a distance equal to the cornice height (50 mm) minus a compensatory gap (6-8 mm) is marked to prevent mechanical contact with the ceiling surface and to allow space for LED lighting if needed.
Control points are marked with a pencil every 500-600 millimeters along the perimeter of all walls and connected by a continuous line using a long aluminum or marking chalk line. The horizontal alignment of the line is checked with a bubble level at least 1500 millimeters long on each wall. If deviations from horizontal exceed 2 millimeters per meter, the marking is corrected to account for the room’s actual geometry to ensure a visually level cornice line.
Angular connections of cornices are cut using a circular saw with a carbide disk or a hand miter saw with 45-degree slots and a fine-toothed metal hacksaw. To form an internal angle, two cornice strips are cut from opposite sides at a 45-degree angle to ensure tight, gap-free contact of the ends. External angles are formed similarly but with the opposite cutting direction. In cases of non-ideal room geometry with angles deviating from standard 90 degrees, the cutting angle is adjusted through trial fitting until the ends fit tightly together.
The edges of the cornice are sanded with fine sandpaper P120-P150 to remove burrs, unevenness, and sharp edges that may prevent tight fitting of joined elements. The quality of the cut is checked by preliminary fitting of the cornices in the corner without adhesive to assess the tightness of the ends. If gaps are detected, additional fitting is performed with minimal adjustment of the cutting angle until an ideal connection is achieved with no visible gaps.
The mounting adhesive for installing cornices must have high initial adhesion to polystyrene and mineral substrates, elasticity after full curing, and compatibility with polymer materials without dissolving polystyrene. Optimal choices include specialized mounting adhesives such as liquid nails for polystyrene: Moment Mount Super Strong, Titan, Makroflex, and Sooudal. The adhesive is applied to the back of the cornice in the area where it meets the wall and ceiling using dashed lines with a diameter of 8-10 mm spaced 100-150 mm apart, or as a continuous wavy strip 6-8 mm wide.
The amount of adhesive must ensure reliable filling of surface irregularities for maximum contact area without excessive extrusion beyond the profile, which requires labor-intensive cleanup. After applying the adhesive, the cornice is left on air for 1-2 minutes to allow partial solvent evaporation and increased viscosity of the adhesive, significantly improving initial adhesion and facilitating fixing the item on a vertical surface. Then, the strip is pressed against the wall along the marked line and firmly pressed along the entire profile length with the palms of the hands.
Excess adhesive squeezed out from under the cornice is immediately wiped away with a damp sponge or clean cloth until the adhesive fully cures, which occurs 10-15 minutes after exposure to air. The cornice is secured in the designated position using 50 mm wide painter’s tape, with the top edge of the tape attached to the ceiling or temporary supports made of wooden battens installed at an angle from the floor to the lower part of the cornice. The initial setting time of the adhesive is 4-6 hours, and full curing with maximum joint strength occurs within 24-48 hours depending on room temperature and humidity.
Joints of straight cornice sections on long walls are made with a minimal gap of 0.5-1.0 mm to compensate for possible material thermal expansion due to changes in room microclimate. The ends of the joining strips are cut strictly perpendicular to the profile’s longitudinal axis using a circular saw or miter saw to ensure maximum tightness. A thin layer of mounting adhesive 1-2 mm thick is applied to the ends, after which the strips are pressed tightly together with careful alignment of the profile’s relief to create a visually seamless joint.
The formed joint is filled with white acrylic sealant using a caulking gun, and excess sealant is immediately wiped away with a damp sponge until the sealant polymerizes. After the sealant fully dries within 4-6 hours, the joint is sanded with P150-P180 grit sandpaper using circular motions to create an absolutely smooth surface without visible transitions or steps between the joined strips.
Decorative possibilities and economic efficiency
The universal white color of the A70 cornice is an ideal base for implementing any design concept, from classic to high-tech. Leading manufacturers’ water-dispersible acrylic paints such as Tikkurila, Dulux, and Kaparol are applied with a short-pile roller in two coats with intermediate drying time of 4-6 hours. Painting in ceiling color visually increases room height by 8-12 centimeters due to the continuity of the horizontal plane. Contrasting dark shades create a graphic solution for modern interiors.
The cost of the A70 cornice is 850 rubles per 2-meter strip, which is 60-70 percent cheaper than polyurethane analogs and 4-5 times lower than prices for solid wood cornices. Savings when decorating a 70-square-meter three-room apartment reach 15,000-20,000 rubles. The ease of installation allows for self-installation, saving an additional 8,000-12,000 rubles on professional labor.
Cornice A70 POLYSTYRENE HI WOOD 50mm x 50mm x 2.0m is a universal solution from a South Korean manufacturer for rooms with standard ceiling heights, combining quality, functionality, and affordable pricing for mass application in residential and commercial spaces.
