Slatted panel PAN-001 — a ready-made solution for wall and ceiling finishing

Looking for a solution for finishing curved walls, columns, or bent furniture fronts? Introducing flexible slatted panels PAN-001 made of solid oak, beech, or MDF. This is a ready-made fabric on an elastic base that allows you to clad curved surfaces, creating an expressive slatted texture without complex fitting of individual slats.

The solution is designed for interior designers, architects, and furniture manufacturers who face the task of neat and quick finishing of surfaces with complex geometry.

How the panel is constructed

The design of the PAN-001 panel is simple and effective. Profiled slats are attached to a strong and elastic fabric base with perfectly even spacing. The fabric provides flexibility for the entire canvas, while the slats form a rhythmic relief with a characteristic play of light and shadow.

During installation, the panel is glued to the surface with the fabric base facing inward. The slats, remaining on the outside, create a visually solid, almost seamless decorative plane. Even on complex curves, the fabric base evenly distributes tension, preventing gaps and separations between the slats.

Three material options

The PAN-001 panel is available in two versions, each designed for specific tasks and project aesthetics.

MDF for painting

Smooth MDF slats, prepared for the application of interior enamels. This option is ideal when precise color matching to the RAL or NCS palette is required. MDF provides a smooth, uniform surface without texture, which is perfect for minimalist and modern projects.

Solid oak, beech for tinting

Slats made of natural oak or beech with a pronounced wood texture. Designed for tinting with oils, stains, or varnish coating. This option is chosen when the natural beauty of the material, tactility, and durability are important. Solid oak and beech look organic in eco-style, Japandi, and modern classic interiors.

Where the PAN-001 panel is used

The main advantage of the panel is its ability to work on curved surfaces. But it is also well-suited for flat bases when a rhythmic texture is needed without assembly from individual slats.

In interior finishing

  • Radius walls and partitions: The panel wraps around them, creating a continuous slatted surface.
  • Columns: Round and oval columns receive neat decorative cladding in one go.
  • Niches and arched openings: The panel easily follows inner radii, creating a finished look.
  • Accent walls: On a flat wall, the slatted rhythm adds depth and expressive chiaroscuro.

In furniture manufacturing

  • Radius facades: The panel turns a curved facade into a textured surface without complex milling.
  • Kitchen islands and bar counters: the perfect solution for cladding rounded end and front surfaces.
  • Decorative inserts: finishing bed headboards, panels, and shelving back panels.

How to install

Installing the PAN-001 panel does not require specialized tools and is done in several steps:

  1. Surface preparation. The surface must be level, dry, dust-free, and primed.
  2. Cutting. Mark and cut the panel with a utility knife from the fabric backing side.
  3. Applying adhesive. Contact adhesive is applied to the base and to the fabric backing of the panel.
  4. Gluing. After the adhesive has set (according to the manufacturer's instructions), the panel is carefully placed onto the surface and pressed firmly.
  5. Finishing. After installation, the MDF option is painted, while the oak/beech option is tinted and coated with varnish or oil.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the panel be used in damp areas?

The MDF option is not recommended for direct contact with water. Panels made of oak or beech, treated with special moisture-resistant varnishes or oils, can be used in bathrooms and kitchens outside areas of direct water exposure.

How to join two panels in width and height?

Panels are joined widthwise tightly, with the seam almost invisible due to the even spacing of the slats. In height, slats can be joined with a 45-degree miter cut or straight, depending on the desired visual effect.

What glue is best to use for installation?

We recommend using contact adhesives (e.g., neoprene-based) or polyurethane adhesive sealants. They provide reliable and quick fixation on curved surfaces.

Can I order a panel of non-standard height?

Yes, we can manufacture panels to your size. Contact our manager to discuss details, timelines, and calculate the cost of a custom order.
