Description
L-068.2 — a wooden carved stair newel post executed in the Empire style. It represents an allegorical composition consisting of a fluted conical column adorned with a relief depiction of drapery, a cube with pyramidal rosettes, and a carved finial in the form of a bowl with stylized flames. This post can serve as an expressive accent, adorning any interior in a classical style. It functions as an important load-bearing element of the staircase flight and is ideally suited for installation as the starting (first) newel post.
Well-thought-out mounting system:
L-068.2 is designed with concealed and secure fastening in mind—the interior of the post features a through-channel with a 15x15 mm square cross-section for the passage of a metric stud (M12 recommended). Installation follows this scheme: anchor the base (floor or first step), screw a stud of the required length into the anchor, position the post, and secure it with a washer and nut at the top end. The finial is removable and acts as a cap—completely concealing the fastening point and allowing for subsequent maintenance.
