It's great that you can almost always find the necessary elements for the project. The products match the description, with prompt feedback and delivery!

More than 20 years on the market

The company's success began in 2002, when two artists — Andrey Ragozin and Evgeny Tsapko — created a small creative workshop for producing wooden carved items. The masters' work was quickly noticed, and within a year they were invited to participate in the reconstruction of the Konstantinovskiy Palace in Strelna.

After the success of this project, the company focused on recreating palace interiors, furniture, church furnishings, and carved decorations in various artistic styles. They worked with cultural heritage sites: The Hermitage, the Alexandrovsky Palace, the Troitsko-Izmaylovsky Cathedral, the Sheremetyevsky Mansion, and many others.

The masters' task — and still is — to create wooden items with the highest level of detail and understanding of every element, based on impeccable knowledge of artistic laws and interior styles.

Flexible slatted panel made of semi-circular battens — MDF and solid oak

Contemporary interior design is increasingly moving away from flat, monochromatic surfaces towards volumetric, tactile, architecturally rich solutions.Rafter panelsmade of semi-circular battens on a fabric base — is a response to the demands of the times: a material that simultaneously serves as a structural element, a decorative accent, and an acoustic tool. The flexible base, seamless module connection, and two finish options make this product a versatile solution for both residential and commercial interiors.

Construction: why the fabric base changes everything

Traditional slatted panels are mounted on a rigid MDF or plywood substrate, which fundamentally limits their application: only flat vertical surfaces. Flexibledecorative slatted panelon a durable fabric base completely eliminates this limitation. The fabric carrier holds the battens at a precise, predetermined pitch while retaining the ability to bend along with the surface — around column radii, along arches, over rounded corners, and within concave niches.

The semi-circular batten profile is not chosen by chance. Unlike a rectangular cross-section, the rounded shape creates a smooth light and shadow transition: light does not cast a sharp shadow but gently glides across the surface. The result is a lively, breathing texture that changes character depending on the angle and intensity of lighting. Under directed spot lighting, the surface gains sculptural depth; under diffused light, it becomes restrained and noble.

The pitch between battens is precisely maintained along the entire length of the module, ensuring perfect panel alignment during installation. Seamless module connection is a fundamental structural advantage: joints are invisible on the finished surface, andRack panelit is perceived as a single, continuous covering, regardless of how many meters are clad.

Two finishes: paintable MDF and solid oak

The panel is available in two fundamentally different material options, each addressing its own design objective.

Paintable MDF — this finish is for those who work with color as the primary design tool. MDF with a density of 750–850 kg/m³ has an absolutely uniform structure without knots, resin pockets, or natural defects. The surface accepts any enamel — from acrylic water-based to alkyd and two-component polyurethane. Matte, satin, and semi-gloss coatings adhere equally well to sanded MDF and retain color without yellowing. The possibilities are limitless: the panel can be painted to match the wall color — blending into the interior while creating a clean, relief pattern. Or choose a contrasting accent color — making the panel the main visual focal point of the space.

Solid oak for tinting — a finish for connoisseurs of natural aesthetics and organic texture. Oak is one of the densest and most stable domestic species, with a density of 700–750 kg/m³, Brinell hardness of 3.7–3.9 kN/mm², and a pronounced layered grain pattern. Each batten carries a unique natural pattern, revealed through tinting and transparent varnishes. Oil or wax emphasizes the natural warm tone of oak; stains and tinting oils allow achieving cool Scandinavian grey, deep wenge, or tobacco cognac — depending on the interior concept. A clear varnish coating seals the result and forms a protective layer resistant to mechanical wear.Solid oak panelsconvey the living warmth of natural material, which cannot be reproduced by veneer or film.

Decorative properties: rhythm, depth, light

The vertical system of parallel semi-circular battens creates a strong linear rhythm — one of the fundamental techniques of architectural composition. A rhythmically repeating element organizes the surface, infuses it with dynamism, and makes it perceived not as a background but as a full-fledged architectural object.

The vertical orientation of the battens works to scale the room: it visually elongates walls in height, making the ceiling appear higher and the space more spacious. This technique is especially valuable in urban apartments with standard ceiling heights of 2.5–2.7 m, where any tool for vertical accent improves volume perception.

The play of light and shadow on the semi-circular profile changes throughout the day as the sun moves. In the morning — soft side lighting reveals each batten; during the day — the surface becomes even and neutral; in the evening under artificial directed lighting — the relief is activated again, giving the wall an almost sculptural character. It is this liveliness of the surface that distinguishes a qualityfinishing slatted panelfrom any imitation.

Application in residential interiors

The flexible construction on a fabric base opens up application areas inaccessible to traditional panels. In residential spaces, this primarily includes:

  • Accent walls in the living room, bedroom, hallway — full coverage or zonal panels behind the sofa, behind the bed headboard, along the staircase

  • Rounded and curved walls — columns, pilasters, arched reveals, radius partitions, concave niches

  • Furniture fronts — fronts of cabinets, sideboards, dressers, wardrobe systems, where the slatted texture gives furniture an architectural character

  • Kitchen islands and backsplashes — vertical battens on island ends visually lighten the massive volume and make the kitchen more expressive

  • Decorative partitions — the slatted structure works as airy space zoning, allowing light through while maintaining a sense of openness

Flexible slatted panelsespecially in demand when finishing radius elements of furniture and architecture — precisely where any other finishing material requires expensive fitting or simply cannot be applied.

Application in commercial interiors

Commercial design is a space where slatted panels express themselves with maximum impact. Restaurants, cafes, and bars use slatted walls as an atmosphere-forming element: the vertical rhythm of the battens creates a sense of intimacy, coziness, and quality design, which directly influences guests' perception of the establishment.

in office spacesdecorative panels on a fabric baseare used for finishing meeting zones, receptions, lounge areas, and accent walls behind counters. Hotels and boutique hotels use slatted coverings in lobbies, corridors, and rooms to create the image of a premium space. Boutiques and showrooms use panels as a display background that highlights the product — the neutral, rhythmic relief does not compete with the display but creates a professional context for it.

Installation: fast, clean, no special equipment required

One of the main practical advantages of the flexible slatted panel is the simplicity and speed of installation. The fabric base allows the panel to be mounted directly onto a prepared surface using mounting adhesive or double-sided mounting tape. On flat walls, it is sufficient to apply adhesive to the fabric base and press the panel into place using a level. On radius surfaces, the panel is applied to match the form and fixed at several points until the adhesive polymerizes.

No special tools or professional training are required for installation. A standard installation kit — level, tape measure, handsaw or miter saw, adhesive, and putty knife — is sufficient for laying any volume of panels. Cutting is done along the fabric base with a standard utility knife or wood saw. Module joining is done butt-to-butt: thanks to the precise spacing of the battens, adjacent panels form a seamless, unified surface without visible transitions.

Surface preparation is reduced to standard requirements: the base must be clean, dry, degreased, and free of crumbling fragments. On pre-plastered and primed drywall, concrete, or plaster, the panel is applied without additional operations. On furniture frames made of MDF or plywood, mounting is done with mounting adhesive or headless finishing nails around the perimeter of the fabric base.

Harmony with wooden elements

Slatted panel made of battensintegrates organically into the multi-layered material solutions of modern interiors. The most expressive combinations:

  • Stone and ceramics — the natural texture of stone or the graphics of large-format porcelain stoneware create a contrast with the linear rhythm of the slats. The combination is especially effective in the kitchen: a stone countertop and a slatted island front.

  • Metal — matte brass, brushed steel, or black metal in furniture legs and light fixtures create an industrial-premium combination with the warm texture of oak battens.

  • Concrete — a textured concrete wall as a background for an accent slatted panel: both materials appeal to a raw architectural aesthetic.

  • Glass — transparent and tinted glass elements in furniture combined with slatted fronts form a light, airy composition.

  • Soft fabrics — textile sofa cushions, curtains, carpets in warm tones work with wooden battens as a unified natural tonality.

Acoustic properties

The slatted structure has a documented acoustic effect, which is especially valuable in commercial and residential spaces with high speech load. Vertical battens scatter sound waves, disrupting their reflection from a flat wall and reducing reverberation. The result — reduced echo, a more comfortable sound environment, improved speech intelligibility.

Exactly thereforedecorative slatted panelsare often used in meeting rooms, conference halls, restaurant halls with high ceilings, and home theaters — where acoustic comfort is a full-fledged project requirement. The effect is enhanced when sound-absorbing material is laid behind the fabric base of the panel: mineral wool or acoustic foam in the wall cavity turns the decorative panel into a full-fledged acoustic screen.

Care and longevity

The surface of both MDF and oak battens does not require special care. Routine cleaning is done with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth without abrasive agents — sufficient for removing dust and household dirt. MDF in a paintable finish is protected by a paint coating, which, if necessary, can be restored by local touch-up without completely repainting the surface.

Solid oak under clear varnish or oil requires periodic renewal of the protective coating — once every 3–5 years depending on intensity of use. An oil finish can be restored locally, without dismantling the panels: it is enough to degrease the surface and apply a new layer of oil with a soft cloth. The dense structure of oak provides resistance to mechanical loads: scratches, impacts, abrasion — which is critical for commercial facilities with high visitor traffic.

Why it's a trend for 2025–2026

Slatted surfaces have firmly established themselves among the leading trends in interior design and are not losing ground. The flexible version of this product is the next logical step: it removes the main limitation of traditional panels and unlocks the full potential of slatted aesthetics for any spatial form. Architects, interior designers, and furniture manufacturers get a material that simultaneously solves three tasks: creates an expressive surface, adapts to any geometry, and installs without complex technology.

Flexible slatted panels made of semi-circular battensin MDF paintable finish and solid oak — is a universal design tool, equally appropriate in a bespoke residential interior, in furniture manufacturing, and in a commercial project of any scale.
