More than 20 years on the market
The company's success began in 2002, when two artists — Andrey Ragozin and Evgeny Tsapko — created a small creative workshop for producing wooden carved items. The masters' work was quickly noticed, and within a year they were invited to participate in the reconstruction of the Konstantinovskiy Palace in Strelna.
After the success of this project, the company focused on recreating palace interiors, furniture, church furnishings, and carved decorations in various artistic styles. They worked with cultural heritage sites: The Hermitage, the Alexandrovsky Palace, the Troitsko-Izmaylovsky Cathedral, the Sheremetyevsky Mansion, and many others.
The masters' task — and still is — to create wooden items with the highest level of detail and understanding of every element, based on impeccable knowledge of artistic laws and interior styles.

Molding D1030 POLYSTYRENE HI WOOD 30mm x 9,5mm x 2,0m: Wide Decoration Possibilities
Polystyrene moldingD1030 from the South Korean manufacturer Hi Wood is a professional decorative solution with an increased profile width of 30 millimeters, height of 9.5 millimeters, and standard plank length of 2.0 meters. The product features an elegant smooth shape with a characteristic wavy profile, creating a classic play of light and shadow. Stavros Company, being an official Hi Wood partner in Russia, guarantees the authenticity of the product and compliance with all international standards for decorative molding quality.
Technical Profile Characteristics
wall molding polystyreneD1030 has precisely calibrated technical parameters, making it the optimal choice for creating expressive interior and exterior compositions. The 30-millimeter profile width ensures excellent visual prominence of the molding, allowing for dominant decorative accents. This is one of the widest profiles in the Hi Wood lineup, making it ideal for large interiors with high ceilings.
The 9.5-millimeter profile height creates an optimal volume for forming an expressive relief. The D1030 profile has a characteristic wavy shape with smooth transitions and gentle curves, giving the molding a classic elegance. Such profile geometry creates an expressive play of light and shadow on the surface, especially effective under side natural or artificial lighting.
The standard plank length of 2.0 meters is universal for transportation, storage, and installation in rooms of standard sizes. This length allows working with the molding in residential and commercial spaces, minimizing the number of joints over long stretches. The weight of one plank is approximately 200 grams due to the use of lightweight high-density duro-polymer.
Polystyrene impact-resistant wall moldingD1030 is produced from a special composite material — duro-polymer. This is a modified polystyrene with a density of 680 kg/m³, which significantly exceeds the density of ordinary polystyrene and approaches the characteristics of polyurethane. The material is specifically developed for producing high-quality decorative elements with improved mechanical properties.
Production is carried out in South Korea on high-precision equipment using advanced polymer extrusion technologies. Multi-stage quality control includes checking geometric dimensions with a tolerance of no more than 0.3 millimeters, strength and durability tests, and surface inspection for the slightest defects. Each batch of products is accompanied by certificates of compliance with international ISO standards and confirmation of ecological safety.
The accuracy of the profile geometry guarantees perfect element alignment during installation, even in the most complex compositions with multiple angles and joints. Dimensional deviations along the plank length are minimal, which is especially important when creating extended linear elements. The molding surface is perfectly smooth, matte, and fully ready for painting without additional sanding or priming.
Advantages of Duro-Polymer
Impact-resistant polystyrene wall moldingD1030 is manufactured from high-tech duro-polymer with a unique set of operational characteristics.
The high material density of 680 kg/m³ ensures exceptional mechanical strength and resistance to impact loads. This significantly exceeds the density of ordinary expanded polystyrene and approaches the characteristics of polyurethane. The material does not deform under its own weight even over large spans, maintaining an ideally flat geometry for decades of use.
Absolute moisture resistance with zero water absorption makes duro-polymer an ideal choice not only for indoor spaces with any humidity level, but also for exterior facade cladding. The molding can be safely used in bathrooms, shower cabins, saunas, pools, kitchens, basements, balconies, and loggias. The material does not swell, does not deform, does not lose strength under any fluctuations in environmental humidity.
No shrinkage after installation — a critically important characteristic for wide decorative elements. Duro-polymer maintains stable geometric dimensions, joints remain sealed and invisible throughout the entire service life. This is a key advantage distinguishing quality Korean material from cheap analogs.
Does not yellow over time — an important advantage for light and white interiors. Duro-polymer retains its original snowy white color for decades, does not acquire yellow or gray tones under exposure to sunlight, temperature fluctuations, or the passage of time.
TR12 over a wide temperature range from -40 to +70 degrees Celsius. The material does not become brittle in cold and does not soften upon heating within normal room temperatures. This makes the molding suitable for use in unheated rooms, balconies, and loggias.polystyrene molding on the wallD1030 operates within a wide temperature range from minus 50 to plus 80 degrees Celsius without loss of properties. The material does not become brittle at extremely low temperatures and does not soften upon heating. This makes the molding suitable for use in any climatic zone, including the Far North and hot southern regions.
Biological resistance provides complete protection against organic damage. Duro-polymer is not a nutrient medium for mold, fungi, bacteria, or other microorganisms. It does not attract insects, is not susceptible to rot. The material retains its properties even under conditions of high humidity and heat, where traditional materials quickly deteriorate.
The ecological safety of modern duro-polymer is confirmed by international certificates and numerous independent studies. The material contains no harmful substances — formaldehyde, phenols, heavy metals, volatile organic compounds. Under normal and extreme operating conditions, duro-polymer is completely inert and does not emit any vapors, odors, or toxic substances into the air of the room.
Ease of mechanical processing makesbuy polystyrene moldingOptimal for self-installation. The material can be cut with ordinary tools — construction knife, hacksaw, electric jigsaw. Cutting produces minimal dust, and the cut edge is clean and smooth. No expensive specialized equipment or professional skills are required.
Excellent paintability opens up unlimited possibilities for color decoration. Duro-polymer accepts all types of water-based paints — water-emulsion, acrylic, latex, silicone paints of any shade and gloss level. Paint applies evenly and uniformly without prior priming, does not run or form streaks or blotches. The molding can be repainted unlimited number of times.
The lifespan of products made from duro-polymer, when properly installed and used, is several decades. The material is not subject to aging processes, does not lose mechanical strength, elasticity, or other properties. Special UV stabilizers in the polymer composition protect against fading and photodegradation under direct sunlight.
Multi-functional Application
how to cut polystyrene moldingD1030 and where to use it — practical questions that concern everyone planning serious decorative interior or facade finishing.
Creating large wall compositions and panels — the main direction of application for wide molding. Using D1030, you can form large rectangular or square frames on walls, creating impressive classical interior pilasters. The 30-millimeter profile width makes the molding a dominant decorative element, especially effective in rooms with high ceilings — living rooms, halls, lobbies, conference rooms.
Framing large mirrors and large-format artworks — an elegant application of wide D1030 molding. The expressive wavy profile creates a complete decorative frame that emphasizes the significance of the framed object. The 30-millimeter width is ideal for mirrors 150 centimeters tall, large paintings, wall tapestries, decorative panels.
Classical wall zoning with horizontal molding — a traditional architectural decoration technique. How to cut polystyrene moldingD1030 for installation at a height of 90–120 centimeters from the floor, with different finishing of the upper and lower wall parts. The wide profile creates a clear visual boundary and allows using contrasting colors or finishing materials.
Decorative finishing of door and window openings adds architectural monumentality and grandeur to the interior. Molding D1030 is used to create a wide additional frame around standard casings, visually enlarging the opening and drawing attention to it. The wavy profile is especially effective under side natural lighting.
Ceiling decoration and creating coffered ceilings — an impressive application of wide molding. D1030 is mounted on the ceiling, forming a geometric ornament of large rectangles or squares. The inner areas are painted in contrasting or tonal colors. This solution visually structures the ceiling, adding grandeur, luxury, and classic elegance to the room.
Facade application became possible due to the exceptional properties of duro polymer. Molding D1030 is actively used for exterior facade cladding, creating window frames, decorating entrances, and horizontally dividing facade surfaces. The material withstands all climatic influences – heavy rain, snow, hail, strong wind, sharp temperature fluctuations, intense ultraviolet.
Zoning of open-plan room spaces – a modern application of wide moldings. Vertical lines D1030 on walls visually divide a single space into functional zones without erecting physical partitions. The wide profile creates a sufficiently expressive boundary while preserving the sense of spaciousness.
Decorating columns and pilasters – an architectural application of molding. D1030 is used to create horizontal bands on round or rectangular columns, forming bases and capitals, and dividing vertical structures. The wide profile is proportionate to the scale of architectural elements.
Professional installation technology
Buy polystyrene molding for wallD1030 requires professional installation technology to achieve an ideal result.
Metal hacksaw with fine-toothed blade – the optimal tool for cutting duro polymer. Dense material requires a sharp blade and even motion without excessive pressure. Small teeth ensure a clean, neat cut without chips on the wide profile.
Professional-grade miter box – an indispensable tool for precise angled cuts. For wide molding, it is recommended to use a metal miter box with high sides capable of securely holding a 30 mm wide profile. The molding is firmly pressed against the bottom and back wall of the miter box before cutting.
Circular saw – the recommended tool for working with duro polymer molding in large volumes. The saw ensures maximum accuracy of cuts at any angle, which is critically important for a wide profile, where even minimal deviation will be noticeable.
Surface preparation requires special care for wide molding made of dense material. The base must be absolutely clean, dry, strong, and level. Loose and peeling coatings must be completely removed. Irregularities exceeding 2 mm must be leveled.
Surface priming is mandatory to ensure maximum adhesive bond of the glue. Deep-penetration primer will strengthen the base and create a strong foundation for reliable bonding of wide molding.
Choosing adhesive is critically important. The Hi Wood manufacturer recommends using specialized adhesives: HD700 for standard mounting, HD1000 (hybrid polymer adhesive) for wide profiles and critical areas, HD500 (adhesive putty) for filling joints. Alternatively, high-quality liquid nails can be used for heavy materials.
Adhesive application on wide molding is performed in a continuous wavy line or in frequent dots spaced 5-7 cm apart. The wide profile requires denser adhesive application to ensure secure fixation across the entire width. After application, a 2-3 minute pause is maintained.
Bonding D1030 requires firm, even pressing along the entire length and width of the profile. It is recommended to use additional fixation with painter’s tape at 15-20 cm intervals until the adhesive fully dries (24-48 hours).
Joining corners of wide molding requires maximum precision in 45-degree cuts. The wavy profile of D1030 requires perfect alignment – even minimal deviation will be noticeable. It is recommended to use a circular saw.
Final finishing includes careful sealing of joints with HD500 adhesive putty or quality acrylic sealant. Joints are lightly sanded with fine-grit sandpaper for perfect smoothness.
Painting D1030 does not require preliminary priming due to the properties of duro polymer. It is recommended to apply 2-3 thin coats of paint with full drying between layers.
