More than 20 years on the market

The company's success began in 2002, when two artists — Andrey Ragozin and Evgeny Tsapko — created a small creative workshop for producing wooden carved items. The masters' work was quickly noticed, and within a year they were invited to participate in the reconstruction of the Konstantinovskiy Palace in Strelna.

After the success of this project, the company focused on recreating palace interiors, furniture, church furnishings, and carved decorations in various artistic styles. They worked with cultural heritage sites: The Hermitage, the Alexandrovsky Palace, the Troitsko-Izmaylovsky Cathedral, the Sheremetyevsky Mansion, and many others.

The masters' task — and still is — to create wooden items with the highest level of detail and understanding of every element, based on impeccable knowledge of artistic laws and interior styles.

MDF Molding, Primed MLD-003-MG — premium profile for grand interiors

The architectural expressiveness of an interior is often determined by the size and proportions of decorative elements.Molding from MDF primedThe MLD-003-MG models with impressive dimensions of 35 × 12 × 2600 mm represent the flagship item of the Prestige series, designed for premium-class interiors. This profile has the maximum height in the line, making it an ideal solution for rooms with high ceilings, where it is necessary to create a powerful visual accent and emphasize the monumentality of the space.

The impressive height of 35 mm transformsprimed molding MLD-003-MGinto a full-fledged architectural element capable of competing with classical plaster moldings. At the same time, the width of 12 mm provides a reliable mounting surface and gives the profile a solid appearance. The factory-applied primer of professional quality prepares the surface for final painting, allowing to realize any design concepts in color decoration.

The application area of thisMDF moldingcovers the most demanding projects. It is chosen for decorating grand living rooms, hallways of country mansions, reception halls, banquet rooms of restaurants and hotels. The profile works excellently in classical palace-style interiors, neoclassical compositions, and even in modern spaces where a contrast between minimalism and ornamentation is needed. The height of 35 mm allows creating expressive framed compositions, ceiling cornices, and wall panels that are perceived as full-fledged moldings.

High-quality MDF as the base material

Medium-density fiberboard, used for producing molding MLD-003-MG, belongs to the premium segment of materials. The production technological cycle begins with the selection of high-quality wood raw material, which undergoes a multi-stage processing: grinding into a fine dispersion fraction of 0.2-0.5 mm, drying to a moisture content of 6-8%, mixing with new-generation binders with low formaldehyde content. Hot pressing at a temperature of 200-220°C and pressure of 35-40 MPa forms a homogeneous material with unique properties.

The structural homogeneity of MDF ensures the stability of the profile's geometry throughout its service life. Unlike solid wood, which may warp, crack along the grain, and deform due to humidity fluctuations, MDF demonstrates isotropy — identical properties in all directions. This means that even a wide profile of 35 mm will retain an ideal flatness and will not bend over time. The material density of 760-780 kg/m³ guarantees high mechanical strength while maintaining workability.

Milling a profile of such height requires high-precision equipment with computer control. MDF is exceptionally suitable for mechanical processing, providing a clean cut without chips or scratches. This allows forming a clear profile relief with precision down to tenths of a millimeter. The surface after milling remains perfectly smooth, requiring no additional sanding before priming. Such processing quality is impossible with natural wood, where the wood grain structure affects the cut quality.

The material's ecological certification confirms its safety for use in residential spaces. Modern premium-grade MDF panels meet the E0 emission class — the highest standard of ecological purity. The formaldehyde emission level does not exceed the levels of natural wood.Paintable MoldingIt has passed toxicological tests and has hygiene certificates permitting its use in children's, medical, and educational facilities.

Factory-applied professional primer

The primer coating of molding MLD-003-MG is applied in factory conditions on automated lines, adhering to strict technological parameters. For a wide profile, uniformity of the coating is especially important — any undercoating or pooling will be noticeable after final finishing. Automated application ensures an identical primer layer thickness of 40-50 microns across the entire surface, including complex relief areas of the quarter-round profile.

The primer composition is specially developed for large-format MDF profiles. It has increased elasticity, preventing coating cracking under minimal material temperature deformations. The primer contains components that deeply penetrate the MDF structure to 2-3 mm, creating a strong mechanical bond. Simultaneously, a dense film forms on the surface, sealing pores and creating an ideal base for finishing paints.

The functionality of the primer layer is multifaceted. The primary task is to drastically reduce the absorbency of MDF. A wide profile without primer would require 4-5 paint layers to achieve uniform coverage, which is economically unfeasible. The primer creates a barrier layer, allowing only 2-3 layers of finishing paint to be sufficient. This saves not only materials but also time — a critically important factor for commercial projects with tight deadlines.

The adhesive properties of the primer are universal. On primeddecorative moldingall types of interior paints adhere excellently: water-based acrylic water-dispersed compositions ensuring fast drying and odorless application; alkyd enamels creating a durable glossy finish with high wear resistance; premium-grade polyurethane paints with maximum resistance to mechanical impacts; traditional oil-based paints for creating authentic classical interiors.

Architectural geometry of a large profile

Dimensional parameters of 35 × 12 mm place molding MLD-003-MG in the category of large-format decorative elements. The height of 35 mm creates a powerful visual effect that is clearly perceived even in large spaces with ceiling heights of 3.5–5 meters. This makes the profile an ideal choice for country mansions, historic buildings after reconstruction, elite apartments in Stalinist buildings, and prestigious commercial spaces. Molding of such height creates a striking play of light and shadow, which brings life to wall and ceiling planes.

The width of 12 mm provides a solid mounting base for secure attachment of the heavy profile. The increased contact area with the surface distributes the weight of the molding and improves the adhesion of the adhesive joint. This is especially important for ceiling mounting, where the molding experiences gravitational loads. The width of 12 mm allows applying sufficient mounting adhesive to create a strong bond without the risk of the profile detaching over time.

The profile section is designed in the form of a classic quarter-circle with an increased radius. The smooth curved surface creates a soft play of light and shadow, which varies depending on the position of light sources and time of day. The quarter-circle shape is archetypal for classical architecture and is naturally perceived in space. At a height of 35 mm, the curvature radius is sufficient to create an expressive relief that visually enriches the interior.

The standard plank length of 2600 mm is retained for all profiles in the series, ensuring uniformity when combining moldings of different heights. This length is optimal for transportation and installation — a single installer can carry and install the plank without assistance. When creating extended compositions, two planks with a single joint cover an area up to 5 meters.Molding primedeasily cut with a circular saw or jigsaw to fit specific dimensions.

Installation technology for large-format profiles

Installation of molding with a height of 35 mm requires careful preparation and adherence to professional techniques. Surface preparation must be flawless — any irregularities on the base will be especially noticeable when using a large profile. Walls or ceilings are leveled to within 1-2 mm per linear meter. All defects are eliminated with gypsum putty, and the surface is sanded to a perfectly smooth state using abrasive grit 120-150. Dust is carefully removed, and the surface is primed with a deep-penetration primer.

Marking for large molding is performed with exceptional precision. A professional laser level is used, ensuring perfectly horizontal lines over distances up to 20-30 meters. For framed compositions, a marking string, a construction square, and a Class I tape measure are used. All dimensions are checked twice before installation begins. Symmetry of compositions relative to the central axes of the room is controlled especially carefully — any asymmetry will be immediately noticeable.

The choice of adhesive is critically important for secure fixation of the large profile. Optimal are two-component polyurethane adhesives with very high bonding strength and initial tack. An alternative is MS-polymer adhesives of the new generation, possessing elasticity and compatibility with various substrates. The adhesive is applied to the back side ofthe molding to the wallas a continuous, smooth line without gaps — the increased mass of the profile requires maximum bonding surface area.

The mounting technology includes mandatory mechanical fixation. A single adhesive may be insufficient for long-term retention of the 35 mm high molding, especially for ceiling mounting. Finishing nails 35-40 mm or self-tapping screws 3.5×40 mm are used, installed at intervals of 25-30 cm. Mandatory preliminary drilling of holes with a diameter of 2-2.5 mm to prevent MDF cracking. The heads of fasteners are countersunk by 2 mm, the recesses are filled with acrylic putty and carefully sanded after drying.

Corner joints and professional secrets

The quality of corner joints determines the overall impression of the installation. For 35 mm high molding, precision trimming is especially important — any gaps will be noticeable. Ends are trimmed at a 45-degree angle using a professional circular saw with a disc diameter of at least 254 mm and a large number of teeth (60-80) for a clean cut. The saw must have a laser pointer and an angular positioning system with an accuracy of no more than 0.1 degrees.

The cutting technique requires professionalism. The molding is securely fixed in the saw stand to prevent vibration. The disc must be perfectly sharp — even minor dullness will result in a ragged edge with fiber tears in the MDF. Feed speed is moderate, without jerks or accelerations. After cutting, the end is inspected under magnification — any microscopic defects are removed using fine-grit sandpaper wrapped around a flat block to maintain the flatness of the cut.

Joining planks at corners requires patience and precision. Both planks are first pre-installed without adhesive to check the quality of the joint. If the joint is not ideal, trimming is adjusted. Only after achieving a tight, gap-free connection are the planks installed with adhesive. During gluing, it is essential to ensure perfect alignment of the ends along the entire 35 mm height of the profile — any misalignment will create a step that remains visible even after spackling.

Corner joint filling is performed with an elastic acrylic sealant with improved adhesion properties. For 35 mm high molding, it is recommended to use professional-grade sealants with increased elasticity and minimal shrinkage. The sealant is applied using a caulking gun with a nozzle cut at a 45-degree angle, excess is removed with a rubber spatula or a damp sponge. The joint is smoothed with a special profile tool, forming a seamless transition. After complete drying, the joint may be sanded and painted together with the molding.

Premium decorative finishing options

White painting of large molding creates the effect of classical plaster molding. To achieve a perfectly white surface, premium acrylic paints with high opacity and whiteness are used. The first layer is applied using an airless spray gun for even coverage of the complex profile relief. After drying, the surface is lightly sanded with fine-grit sandpaper to remove microscopic irregularities. The second and third layers create a flawless finish that is visually indistinguishable from plaster.MDF molding primedAfter such finishing, it looks like expensive handcrafted molding.

Contrasting coloring emphasizes the monumentality of the profile. Dark molding on light walls creates a dramatic effect and highlights architectural lines. Especially impressive is 35 mm high molding painted in deep black, dark gray, or chocolate color against white or light beige walls. Such a solution is characteristic of modern interpretations of classical interiors. The reverse option — white molding on dark walls — creates a contrasting graphic effect and visually lightens massive surfaces.

High-level decorative techniques transform the molding into a work of art. Patination is performed in multiple layers: a base layer of light paint, an intermediate layer of semi-transparent glaze, and a final dark patina applied to the recesses of the profile and partially sanded off from raised areas. The result is an effect of noble antiquity with depth and volume. Gilding is performed using imitation of gold leaf — a gold leaf applied to a special glue-mordant and polished to a mirror finish. SuchPaintable Moldingbecomes a central element of palace-style interiors.

Application in large-scale interior projects

Large-format molding MLD-003-MG is designed for spaces where monumentality and respectability are important. Grand reception rooms in country mansions, halls with ceiling heights of 4-5 meters, banquet halls in premium-class restaurants, conference rooms in corporate offices — everywhere where it is necessary to create an impression of solidity and luxury, this profile is indispensable.decorative moldings35 mm high molding forms convincing framed compositions that structure large wall surfaces.

Ceiling cornices made from MLD-003-MG molding create a powerful transition between wall and ceiling. In rooms with high ceilings, such a cornice does not disappear into space but becomes a full-fledged architectural element. The profile can be enhanced with LED backlighting, creating a floating ceiling effect. Even powerful LED strips and their power supplies can be easily concealed behind 35 mm high molding. Contour lighting highlights the profile's relief and creates a dramatic atmosphere in the evening.

Combining with other profiles from the collectionmolding and cornicesallows creating complex multi-level compositions. Molding MLD-003-MG is used as the main element of large frames, complemented by narrower profiles to create inner frames. Combined with decorative rosettes, corner elements, and consoles, simple molding transforms into a full-scale sculptural composition. Such solutions are characteristic of interiors in the styles of Classicism, Baroque, and Empire.
