More than 20 years on the market

The company's success began in 2002, when two artists — Andrey Ragozin and Evgeny Tsapko — created a small creative workshop for producing wooden carved items. The masters' work was quickly noticed, and within a year they were invited to participate in the reconstruction of the Konstantinovskiy Palace in Strelna.

After the success of this project, the company focused on recreating palace interiors, furniture, church furnishings, and carved decorations in various artistic styles. They worked with cultural heritage sites: The Hermitage, the Alexandrovsky Palace, the Troitsko-Izmaylovsky Cathedral, the Sheremetyevsky Mansion, and many others.

The masters' task — and still is — to create wooden items with the highest level of detail and understanding of every element, based on impeccable knowledge of artistic laws and interior styles.

Requirement Calculation and Planning

For accurate calculation of required quantity wooden curtain rod use the formula: room perimeter × 1.12–1.18, rounded to 2.6 m length. The coefficient accounts for allowance for cutting angles and possible inaccuracies.

Example: living room 5×6 m: (5+6+5+6) × 1.15 = 25.3 m. Requires 10 pieces 2600 mm long with allowance for fitting. For complex configurations, use coefficient up to 1.20.

Oak solid wood

Cornice made of oak produced from mature wood (density 720–880 kg/m³, 3.7–4.0 HB), resistant to wear and revealing expressive medullary rays.

High tannin content up to ~10% protects against biological damage; color becomes more noble over time. Finishes: waxes, oils, varnishes, stains — deeply reveal porous structure.

Beech solid wood

Cornice made of beech has uniform structure (680–770 kg/m³), is easy to process, evenly paints, and dimensionally stable (0.7–0.9%). Surface is free of spots; enamel and stains apply evenly.

MDF (740–760 kg/m³, emission class E1/E0) provides ideal geometry, uniformity, and better base for enamel: high adhesion, smooth surface, absence of knots and cracks.

MDF cornice Length 2400 mm

Dimensional range

2400 mm — optimal for most rooms, easier transportation and installation by a standard crew.

Installation

Preparation of the Base

Wall flatness: ≤1.5 mm/m; level control 2 m, vertical deviation ≤3 mm at room height. Base must withstand ≥150 kg/m of pulling load.

  • Temperature: +18…+23°C (opt. +20°C)
  • Humidity: 45–58% (opt. 50–52%)
  • Air speed: ≤0.2 m/s
  • Acclimatization: MDF 48 h; solid wood 72 h
  • Compensatory gaps: 2–3 mm per 3 m

Mounting

Main — polyurethane glue class D4 (open time up to 25 min). Additional — self-tapping screws 4.0×50 mm, spacing 300–350 mm; pre-drilling 3.0 mm. Oak — partial thread; beech — full thread; MDF — self-tapping screws with wide heads for composites. Sink screw heads 3–4 mm, fill, sand with P320, stain.

Corner trimming

Circular saw Ø350 mm, 80–120 teeth. Oak — 3500–4000 rpm; beech — standard; MDF — sharp blade and low feed. Joint accuracy ≤0.1°. For suspended ceilings — 50×50 mm brackets around perimeter; gap to blade ≥15 mm.

Quality Control

Laser level: deviation ≤1 mm per 3 m. Load test 50 kg at center of span — no sagging or unusual sounds.

Finishing and Protection

Staining

Cornice made of oak Reveals grain; water-based stains — evenly along length using "wet edge" technique; spirit-based — "wet on wet" with blending. Beech — even staining without blotches.

Enamels

Water-dispersible acrylic — safe and durable; polyurethane — extremely hard (up to ~180 s by Koenig), ideal for MDF; alkyd — classic gloss. Viscosity control for vertical surfaces is mandatory. Application — airless 150–200 atm; brush — only locally.

Lacquers

PU/acrylic with UV filters, 2–3 coats, P320–P400 between coats, full polymerization of each layer. Matte 5–15%, satin 25–40%, gloss 80–95%.
